I've actually owned both keyboards and can say I prefer the k100 air. The type feeling of is fantastic, and I can comfortably use it swapping back and forth between my work laptop and personal computer with the quick bluetooth swap keys so I feel like that's worth mentioning. The 915 wasn't bad but I guess it depends on which caps your prefer really. The lack of choice on the k100 sucks, but the typing experience is phenomenal.
Hey can you explain what you mean by lack of choice on the k100?
@@Scatamahatta If you're not happy with the specific switches the k100 has you're not going like it, there are no other switch options for this keyboard.
Did you have any issues switching/using it with multiple devices? I am trying to use the keyboard with 3 difference devices (not at the same time), I read some content that talked about the Bluetooth being shitty
@@crazyakagino No issues swapping, I've got 4 devices hooked up. Maybe 1/40 times it'll take a couple seconds but most of the time its instantaneous. Desktop connected over the adapter, and then 2 to my work laptops and 1 to my phone.
How about the sound? Which one is quiter?
Since I prefer laptop keyboards to ordinary ones I think I will get the K100 even if it's expensive.
Did you end up doing that? I have been on laptops 10+ years
@@user-cu3xo8yz2w Yes. I've used it for about 6 months now and I think it's fantastic. But I use it wired so I don't know how it works wireless och how the battery life is. And it's not one of them super loud clicky keyboards. If you type softly there wont be a lot of sound.
something id say about the K100's battery life is that when the RGB is on, it does last longer than the G915's battery, but you have to account for the fact that the K100's keyboard brightness is way lower than the G915's quick adjustable settings.
Any chance you could do a small gaming session for sound more than typing? I am interested in if K100 gets more silent cause of the low activation on keys from gaming than typing.
Enjoyed the last part though, it looked like either you were trying to make it asmr or u were enjoying the sounds aswell, either way very relaxing asmr
Glad you enjoyed!
Great reviews and comparisons! I’ve been waiting for Logitech to release a modern 915 w/ USB C so I can junk my k70 MK2. It’s been 3 years since it’s launch and a lot has changed to justify buying today. It’s rare sale price of $180 at BB is even too much still, but I’d pay full price for USB C and optical keys.
There's got to be something soon right?!
I would also like to see a revision on the ABS and wobbly keycaps. If they were double-shot PBT and with better stabilizers, I'd buy the G915.
1 year later after this comment, I'm having the same thought
one and a half years after this comment - and there's unfortunately still no news regarding a revised version of the G915 TKL with USB-C.
@@FollowingStorm0 Yes, I was excited when they announced the new Pro X, but of course no fullsize option. :( I finally bought an ASUS ROG Strix Scope II a few months ago and been incredibly happy with it. Had all the features I wanted in my OP and then some. Such as pre-lubed keys and sound dampening foam. Looks, feels, and sounds amazing.
G915 is still an amazing keyboard. Picked up mine recently and its great. I havent found a k100 air too try out though
Well - I do hope for the TKL Normal sized is out of the question for me after having the plus of space for the mouse 🙂
As a programmer, didn't like k100 air that much. After a while I got feeling like I am banging my fingers of a table, so I will stay on g815/g915 for now 😁
I was really hoping the K100 Air had back-lit symbols on the keyboard. That is my biggest complaint regarding the G915. It’s a huge missed opportunity for Corsair not to address that shortcoming.
Agreed. If you can live with Tactile, the white one is much better in this regard as they are much more "visible" on that.
totally true. These are useless keyboards in dark room.
@@fmpmuld1 Just made a hardware profile to allways have white background, it’s what I did with my K100 and I can use it in a pitch black room
i didn't even know they could backlight the number but not the symbol, terrible design on Logi's part.
Be careful between pictures on internet, publicities, videos from manufacturer....You will find some pictures and videos with full illuminated keys, some others with light only on top. That's annoying when you have to choose. ie : ruclips.net/video/Cf12d361jiw/видео.html . so ??
The ISO layout Logitech ruled that they will only sale ISO in Europe. And they told me that even if I ship ANSI from USA they will not honor the warranty :/
Which is better for hours of typing? Now I have G915, but K100 Air looks promising...
Can someone tell me about the software? I really like iCue, but wanted to give g915 a shot since I need something wireless and with macro sidebar. Can you configure cudtom buttond for things like scroll lock on ghub?
I recently picked up a G915 for $100 plus a g502 mouse for $40. Love em both. But id love to try out the corsair keyboard to just compare the 2. So far havent seen it around on store displays tho
I love my Logitech keyboard. I love clicky, low profile keyboards and for my preferences I have found this Logitech to be the best.
Is any of them able to record macros without their respective accompanying software running in the background? Thanks!
The corsair can record macros without the software.
280 they've lost their minds might as well go for the logitech or razer low profile gaming keyboards
Uh, you keyboard geeks lost your minds buying this shit that's the only reason prices keep going up
And I thought Razer and Logitech lost their minds
@@BlizzardWind99 They've all gone completely bonkers
Whilst the g915 full brightness only lasts 35 hours it is brighter than the k100 air. And on lower brightness and no lights at all it's batter lasts significantly longer, over 1000 hours at no lights.
I can't understand and find anything about the macro sistem of the k100. Can a macro be applied to a different key other than the 4"G key" on the right?
Yes - Corsair iCue allows you to re-assign any key on the keyboard to anything you want - a different key, a macro, a shortcut... You can, for example, remap your Q to your Z key.
I wanted an all Logitech setup (G502, G915, G-ProX) but them using micro- USB killed it for me. Went with Corsair M65 mouse and regret nothing
G502 is a boss
@@TheBluSerpent it would be if it weren't for micro USB
@@dgaming9791 what is it about micro-usb that bothers you? I have the mouse myself for years and it never bothered me at all.
@@TheBluSerpent the connector itself is pretty fragile, and if you're using it as the primary method of charging, the port can wear out rather quickly
The wireless charging methods are far superior if you're willing to get the logi wireless mousepads
@@poodlemeister22314 wireless is always slower than cable though. I am also using the mouse with micro-usb port for over 3 years and still not a single complaint (I mainly use it with the micro-usb cable attached).
I want tkl version of corsair k100
I prefer the G keys on the logitech because they are momre useful in wow when they are down the side. They are basicly useless on the k100 if you use them in wow.
I just don't like the typefont used on the Corsairs. I know it's a petty complaint. Other than that it looks good.
Release the k100 air in brushed silver aluminum and white keycaps and i'll cop
anyone who wonders about the price - they overpriced to start and a few people will buy. They will definitely lower the price in a while. Then people will see "big price reduction" and more people will buy because "on sale".
the K100 sounds almost exactly like a high end scissor switch laptop keyboard and that, to me, is EXACTLY what im looking for.
right now im on the Cherry KW 9100 and it sounds very similar.
im very keen on testing out the K100 and see if i like it better or worse (since my favorite type of keyboard IS scissor, not mechanical).
the price point is absoutely ludicrous, by maybe it'll last me 40 years. ive previously had store brand scissor switch keyboards that lasted almost 10 years so.....
Interesting
dont like how brands completely skip on etching the secondary legends for rgb passthrough...
i suppose the g915 is better than the corsair k70?
idk much about keyboards and i need to buy one for less than 200€
just got me the G915 with the tactile switches for just 129€ and i like it very much.
i'm really looking forward to what Logitech will do when the next version comes out (which will probably still take some years), like when you look at the Upgrade from the G502 to the G502 X Series, which is quite substantial.
Where did u find that keyboard for that price? Was it on Black Friday or something?
@@Fuzius262
Hi.
Yeah it was a Black Friday Sale offer and only for the brown switches aka the tactile non clickies and it was reduced to 119 shortly after i made the purchase and they even granted me the additional 10bucks so i got it for 119. :)
Updated :05.12.22
the spar button is not only very loud, i did survive it after a week, however its so slow rythm is in stable. so i cant cant jump fast in valorant , Val is a difficullt game to jump without loosing speed at once, with this keybord i cant do it . i practice a week now, i finded out that the space bar button is to slow and or un rythm somehow, that very bad? i must use my mx keyboard fort office use for jumping good in games :) ilmao
mx keys logitch office keyboard are not mechanic still lover travel and better soundless shorter travel and so on its half prise and lover wriste profile, they should add some things and sell Mx as a gaming kyeboard. i dont not why mechanical is better, its not the case here vs two years of Mx kyes still perfect after hard gaming?
well it was good to game with anyway .And og yes the BAD BAD Space button ruin the whole quiet board. it 5x times more sound than all other buttons, i think i return that BANG BANG BANG space button keboard, cuz in a rom it rely terrible sound when chatting etc
Which keyboard are you talking about?
Have you found a good ergonomic gaming keyboard? I am starting to think they do not exist!
The Corsair is in this regard because of the low profile (less raising of hand and motion)
The rgb seems to be brighter on the g915, right?
It is, that's why the battery only lasts 35 hours vs 50 hours at full brightness despite it being much larger. With the backlight off it lasts 1150 hours vs 200 hours.
I have the G915 and the K100 non-Air. I would say the G915 looks better (to me at least) and has a more sleek and elegant look. It is quite obvious that the K100 Air definitely looks thinner and flatter as its keys are more low profile than the G915, although I dislike the cheap flat 'chicklet' style keys (the same reason I disliked the first Razer Deathstalker).
I love the K100 myself over the 915 because I LOATHE the side gkeys. I wish Logi would release a version without them.
They think Logitech will bring out an ultra low profile?
is it camera or are both keyboards bent?
It is the cameras focal length and the camera being close to the keyboards while filming.
Logitech still haven't made white non-TKL version, I don't get it why. Probably, Corsair could take an advantage of that.
Non tkl is just the normal version
G915 TKL is my fav all time also even over my K100 with the dial. I have been looking for a Corsair one I like better so I have all Corsair peripherals so it all links up with ICue but looks like this isn't it
The Logitech k915 outshines the K100 air, It is also going to be much easier to get replacements for the K915 instead of the K100 air.
Why Logitech refuses to use USB-C I will never understand.
because they love retro style
What about the Deathstalker?
ruclips.net/video/1G7kqc6NKtY/видео.html
Nope, they use optical switches meaning battery life is affected badly
almost didnt talk about the features of both
Can you turn off the corsair logo?
just spilt a beer on my keyboard, debating selling my soul provoked prawn convince me....... haha
The G915 comes in Clicky, Tactile, and Linear.
for pc gaming we need a k70 low profile in wireless...laptop flat keys without any shape suck for pc gaming!
I wonder whos asshole corsair pulled the pricetag out of? Lmao they arent going to sell alot. Logitechs 915 at 250 is a bit much for a mass produced keyboard, though getting it when its on sale at 200 isnt too bad.
Itll be interesting in seeing how the longevity is going to be on K100 air.
It's a tad high for sure.
first thing i did when i saw this keyboard. that's a lot of money, and i already have a wired g815. think i'll be good still for a long while, provided this one holds up for me. personally, a big turn-off for the K100 air comes down to keycaps. i have four shedding pets AND a beard, the ability to be able to pop off my keycaps and clean them is a must.
@@diboxide i get that . If they had keycaps that were similar to the logitechs 915 and 815, it wouldnt be bad for cleaning. But the price is astronomical. Im excited to see how fast they lower it causr i dont see alot of people paying that much for a store bought keyboard. If youre paying that much, you might as well get a cheaper keyboard off amazon and customize it the way you want.
Hard to watch someone type who doesn’t use home row. The 915 looks old. Unfortunately Logitech has the best quality. I’ve given up on Razer products.
same here man razer is terrible quality wise every single keyboard mouse i have owned has had multiple issues so i stay with logitech only
this K100 is perfect what i rly need but its so overpriced.
The logitech still uses micro usb instead of usb c.. So it's a hard no from me.
I purchased both and extremely disliked the k100! The logitech G915 has been amazing, and feels so smooth to type on, it's actually the best keyboard I've ever purchased!
Which keys?
Which switch did you get with your G915?🤔
I have it in one of my very few shorts. The logitech Brio Camera, The powerplay mouse charging pad, The G502 X PLUS Mouse. It's a cool little setup for someone who doesn't even game. Like I said I put it all in a short video.@@andrewbryan9363
Sorry if I didn't answer you question directly! Which switch with my G915? I guess it would be the large keyboard with the 1O Key on the side. It would be the top model (if they made least expensive models)? @@andrewbryan9363
Hahaha dude the g915 is absolutely terrible. The software lighting is the worst. Corsair has way better lighting software.
Where is the TKL?
they are sitting on an untapped gold mine.
After 7 months, the keyboard "Logitech G915" looks like the photo. The best keyboard I've ever used now looks like old, cheap plastic junk. And yes, the keys where the paint is off, also feel junk. No idea how that can happen at such a price. I finds really too bad.
Sad to hear. My wife has been using the black TKL version for a couple of years and the key lettering is still there
You have a good voice. You should consider voice acting.
Thanks Bill
300 euros ? No thanks ! Great review tho thanks !
Fair enough! Maybe when it's on sale eh :) Everyone says it's too much. Including me.
@@TheProvokedPrawn yeah especially when you can see the G915 at less than 200 euros in sales. Same quality and functions but different cost
i dont like the typing experience on the k100 and i think it looks cheap. I will definitely stick with my 915 tkl all day
Hello Prawn. These keyboards are useless. They have only the top part of the keys lit. This means that depending on the country and the key layout, the special characters or numbers (AZERTY) are not visible when the room is dark. I assure you that it is very difficult to write in these conditions. So why this king of keyboard if you cannot write normally or have to switch on the light ?
As you might know, the SHIFT key (which is often represented by an upward arrow) allows you to type the top characters and not the other way around. These are totally useless illuminated keyboard imao. Hope it will help people to choose. There are many of them (ie G513 or K75) that have fully illuminated keys. Believe me, it's way better !
Interesting feedback. Thanks.
I might be misunderstanding but why would light be needed to use a keyboard? Usually most people can literally type with eyes closed, no?
Corsair looks to gamish to me , thats why I went for the g915.
Thats is more exxpensive that a RTX 3050!
MAKES NO SENSE!
What is RTX3050? super crappy comparable w EIGHT years old GPU?
The G915 can't connect to the PS5 😂
Corsair vs Logitech...
my choice is... Steelseries x)
Their new cavier outperform both, I'm sorry
SteelSeries doesn't have low profile though?
@@TheProvokedPrawn Certainly, but to play there is nothing more pleasant than a high profile. Otherwise it may break your fingers. I personally think that for logitech it's okay. But corsair, it's too expensive, hard to clean and I think it hurts your fingers after a few hours. Knowing that the keys do not have double actions because they are too low for that.
Pin please!!! I like this Video first:)
I honestly hate the logitech one. I have it, but really dislike it unfortunately. The pointless "gamer" features (like the programmable G buttons) make this a horrible keyboard. Plus the RGB looks really cheap and dull. Really would advise against buying it tbh.
