- Want to use a Laptop or another device as a wireless display? While it may sound simple, and for the most part it is... There are a few things you need to know. This video shows you how to set it up, and the issues you may face, as well as how to fix them. You NEED both devices to have wireless features, and the 'display' to have the Connect app installed. You don't need to be connected to any Wi-Fi network, or at least I didn't. This technology is called Miracast.
I do apologize for the video being all over the place, but there is a lot of information, besides the tutorial itself.
Manual install command: DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:App.WirelessDisplay.Connect~~~~0.0.1.0

I used to use wireless display for a long time without any troubles. I was watching a football game and it just disconnected. Since then I am not able to find wireless display with my laptop :(

My old computer used to work for my wireless display that I used to have.
I have a Windows wireless adapter for my TV I just bought a new computer got it working for my LG TV but not my windows adapter do you know what's wrong
hilarious! great video though, I could tell you must have spent way too much time trying to figure it out going into stuff like NDIS settings and other deep things on forums. Well, you helped me to get it to work, but like you said, it really is a P.O.S.. into the trash with it. I was wanting to use my surface as a way to do painting etc with the pen. it really is bad! cheers 🙂

I managed to find wireless display and good god this is the longest 2 MB file to install in my life.

Please help me. I have everything working, with both my PC and my laptop saying "Wireless Display Supported: Yes" and both are connected to the same wireless network, yet my laptop will not show up as an option for an available display. Thanks

@@maxettwig9601 nope, legit had to give up on this, no clue to this day why it doesnt work
Mine connected for 20 minutes then studdenly froze and hasnt worked since. It'll try to connect but the screen is just black.
If all else failed, try disabling your firewall temporarily!
