I have just a monitor (not running windows).. how can I wirelessly extend my laptop's screen to it? I suppose I need a transmitter/receiver that plugs into the monitor's hdmi/usb-c , and to the laptop's usb or hdmi port?

laptop to laptop works fine, withouth going through a wifi, but this cuts the internet speed on the laptop doing the casting, but you get better image quality and little or no screen aberations.
going over wifi works but you screen aberations and dropped frames if the wifi is not strong or router is not capable

You have to go to your audio settings then select the audio device you want ur audio to come out.
