Thanks a million. I've been struggling for hours and finally you made it look so easy by just moving the screens around. Mine was just moving it up or down.💪
Thanks! I have just a monitor or screen that I want to use as an additional screen to copy my assignments and have an example of the template to follow I hope this make sense to you'd what I want to accomplish.
Great video. This solves half of my problem. Now all I need to be able to do is use my laptop as a remote extension of my workstation from a different location.
Thanks here too a year later. Your instructions were excellent and helped me re-purpose an old Windows 10 17-inch laptop as a monitor for my very modern Zenbook with a 14-inch screen. Now I'll be able to effectively use a photo-editing app and see what I'm doing clearly.
Solved my problem! Thank you for an informative & complete video. Wireless Display wasn't installed on my 1 year old Dell laptop, but your video was the only one that instructed me on how to add it. Kudos!
Just some things I found out that he did not cover. If using 2 laptop's and no desktop, you will see an on/off button only use to projection to another computer when computer is plugged into power. You can switch this on and off depending how you use it. Also I had to have wireless display installed on both laptops.
If you don't already have a monitor for your desktop, there's the capture card method - basically a HDMI to USB converter. That will allow your desktop to connect to the laptop as a "camera" and you can view its output as camera output. If you do have a temporary monitor though - this method is certainly better. Note that it assumes your desktop has wireless capability, which not all desktops have.
this is so much helpful for me especially when its the part on the project PC option was grayed and I have to install the wireless display !!! Thank you so much, sir!!! by the way new subscriber here!!
this is not reliable. So cable method is there? Wired connection ? I have desktop with 2monitors and I need a 3rd monitor and for that I want to use my laptop as 3rd monitor over wired connection
For anyone who's device doesn't support Miracast (this), Spacedesk is a great alternative. I just got my old machine to act as a 2nd (5th) monitor this way.
Hi. Great video btw. But after having the second monitor wirelessly the display resolution was in poor quality compared to the main display. Is there a way to adjust to have the same quality display?
Great video. I have a question related to the audio part. Is there a way to retain the sound of the laptop projecting to a receiving laptop. In my experience the slave laptop controls the audio of the master laptop. Do you know a workaround that shortcoming? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I would like to know, is it possible to connect to a MacBook Pro laptop as second Monitor ? Trying to setup Projector screen as main display and MacBook Pro laption as second Monitor. My MacBook Pro does not run Windows OS.

Hey what do i do when my main computer(not laptop) is connected to wifi through ethernet but it wont let me connect to a wireless display becuase its not supported through wifi, also i dont have a wifi card
Simply awesome! And if using phone that supports desktop mode, even better. Although, there is some lag. Can even window it and use as "app" on laptop.
Hi. I want to be able to view 2 different websites at the same time.. Is this possible by using this system? Also my old laptop runs very slow... It sometimes takes forever for windows to open and in the past it froze up alot..(so I bought new laptop) Do you know if I'll have same problem? Is it better for me to just buy a used monitor? Thanks in advance.
This may be a strange question but does anyone know about the security of using a laptop as a second display- for example, if your primary computer works on a secure network would you possibly be compromising that security by projecting to a second laptop that’s not on that same network?
I tried to install the wireless display on my laptop and it wouldn't get installed by wifi, i thought it wouldn't work at all but it worked as i changed Laptop to Lan too, hope this may help anyone who has the problem too
I've got acep PC & Laptop and I did all of the steps in the video yet I still cannot access 0:57 settings on laptop so I cannot extend the monitor screen! :( ): What should I do?

You should be able to change the monitor's resolution in the display settings once connected.
