Next time could you explain what you're doing more than just going through and changing the settings to "make it perfect" without the viewers knowing what you're doing. If I hadn't have already known about after effects and how to do things on it then I would've been completely lost.
So for those of you that don't really know about all of that jazz in after effects, basically what the program is doing is it's looking at the frequencies in the audio file and changing the lengths of the audio spectrum lines in after effects based on the amplitude. So you could say that the program is making a replica of the sound waves produced by the audio (or in this case mp3) file. Knowing that after effects has this really handy feature, you can go ahead and not only make sweet spectrums like these, but you can make things like other big youtube music posters like Trap Nation for example, they have particles streaming out of the middle of the screen and slowing down as they reach the outer edges. This can be done with third party plugins but it can also be done with the casual after effects plugins and effects that it comes with. If you want to check out a useful plugin for particles and things like that, then go check out trapcode, it has quite a few effective effects such as the Trapcode Particular effect, and all you simply do is create a new solid, irregardless of the color you add the Trapcode Particular effect onto it, and then if you scroll through you can see that it sheds particles from itself (default cases in the middle). You can change when the particles are emitted through code, which there are plenty of youtube videos on that, and you can make it so that if the amplitude of the soundwave is over a certain amount (which you would enter into the code and you would be able to decide what is a good amount by having a look at the graph editor), then the particles are emitted. This gives the great effect that music posters like Trap Nation and Hero Radio have in their videos.

+GkM13 MixeS I believe this is because in the tutorial he changes 'Audio Duration'. Just leave that setting how it was at the start.
yeah or set it to the duration of the song

+BeatTheHeat that is normal. You need another software to shrink it down to smaller size. But yeah, it comes out in best quality possible after render , hence the big file size.

for example i am using WinX HD ... its free to use with some limitations but it will get you started. Otherwise, google some software to your liking. Hope that helps, friend!

Question : it is possible to wrap it around a non circular logo? (My Logo is an illustration of a bear) can the waves wrap around like that?
I've never tried it personally, but Im sure you can use the pentool to trace your object and then follow the same steps as in this video.

Hey I have a question, I just drag my video and add the spectrum but then the polar coordinates warps the whole backround and not just he spectrum, what do I do ?

Watch the video again, you have to make sure that the audio level is on the audio spectrum layer. Start at 3:15, there is your solution.

It's all about experimenting. If you do make multiple ones, you can change the timing, movement, spikes, etc.

Hey, I have A question. So when the audio ring is completed the Analog Lines at the start and the end do not connect which makes it have a bad look. Is there a fix to that or how do you make the two pieces of the line connect? Thank you very much in advanced :)

HOW TO EXTENT THE TIMELINE DURATION:
Go to "Composition" > "Composition Settings" and change the "Duration" to your desired time you need.
You can also adjust the composition size, frame rate & more!
