The name for the color of your car is Bamboo Beige. I purchased the exact car in same color and year in 1988 in Colorado Springs at a Porsche Dealer for $18000. The car had 34689 miles at the time. We ultimately sold it around 2001 for less than $10000. When sold it had approximately 280000 + miles without a rebuild. Best car we ever owned. With that said during ownership I currently had a 77 targa and 68 911T along with several other cars. But of all the cars the 81 SC was the best never a problem. So continue to enjoy
That is such a nice story. It's sad how by 2040 they will or not ban gas cars.. the emotions that a car brings can't compare to the simple electric cars. I hope that i will be able to own such a car.
@@olafzuberbuehler3015 I've been saying the same thing. Time will prove us correct. Eventually more will see the truth of this. Right now, they can't look at the issue objectively.
I own an 81’ SC in Bamboo Beige, the color was a key factor in the purchase decision. As I understand it, it was a 2 year colour for 81 & 82 I believe, so not PTS as suggested in this video if that is indeed the color of the subject car. Great video and accurately captures the emotions of these cars.
As the music kicked in at the end of this video (around 7:12) I got goosebumps all over my body. What an incredible video! Dreaming of owning a 911 SC one day... Thanks for letting us take part of your story!
This is one of the best owner vids I’ve ever seen! Excellent atmosphere and music choice! I’m right there with him in his philosophy. We don’t know how much time we have. I bought mine to have adventures with my eight year old son. #takethecar #makememories
You totally get it! More of a quirky citroën lover myself, but this is what porsche was always about. No hysterical transformation into a hypercar, just an elegant nimble sports mobile for everyday use. This is so preferable to the new nonsense. Enjoy it!
Beautiful car Ryan, Love the video. I'm currently working on my yellow '80SC. We sarcastically call it Big-Bird. I hope to see them both at an event together one year.
Ryan, excellent video! I’m from Cincinnati and recognized many places in your video. I have an 83 911SC Cabriolet. Slate blue. Love the hills of Cincinnati and the countryside around the city. I agree with your logic. These cars are not museum pieces, they are to be driven. You touched on so many beautiful soulful aspects of owning and driving a 911SC. Bravo!
I worked summer job as a Teenager, at my neighbors Crane Hire business. He had a 1983 Porsche 911 SC that he rarely used. He preferred Mercs. So we got to cruise around in it, playing our 80's cassette tapes. good times !!
Love this! And I love that you share my philosophy of driving and enjoying your car. We have a 2018 Stingray with 56,000 miles and so far we've had it in 33 states and in July we'll add three more states and one Canadian province to the list. I see you have been up Mount Evans, Colorado. We did that in 2022.
Holy shiiiiiiit the editing is insanely clean. I aspire to be this good someday!! I currently work for a local tv show filming and editing but really my passion is cars. And seeing this video really just makes me excited for the future of creating 💚
Great car and a great video. I'm so glad to see an enthusiast who is passionate about driving their car. I've been a car buff since I was a small boy and have always loved cars. It is sad to see such great cars (or motorcycles) that only have a few miles on them. Porsches, Ferraris, Jaguars, Astons, Maseratis, Alfas, Ducatis, and so many more, were designed by passionate people for the purpose of driving them. To see low mileage examples just hurts. Keep driving and enjoying your 911.
Great video lads, congrats from France. I absolutely stick to this philosophy : Take it, drive it. Even though I enjoy the Cars and Coffee meetings... I prefer to drive my Porsche rather than wandering between (nice) stationary cars...
I had a 1981 SC - Bamboo Beige that I sold to make payroll for my business about 12 years ago. I still think about that car from time to time. Wish I could have figured out a way to keep it. Probably could have in hindsight but that's 20/20. You are right - enjoy it!
Enjoyed the video man I know about getting out and driving That's why I love cars like this I owned a BMW 2002 tii and It begged you to drive it Loved that car
Wow what a short film awesome ! I've watched A Lot of Porsche vids from E-Garage, Petrolishous, Rennfilms etc & this is right up there with the best of them. well done guys love it :-)
Love the color! On my 1965 356C I have the factory original color of Champagne which seems to be spot on for your car. I really like the headlights you’ve used. What headlight did you use? Thanks, KKD
Yes the car is inspirational. I might argue that the video is equally good--storytelling is priceless!

@@THEXPROFESSOR 2040 is very far. In 2040 you will not find one electric car on the street anymore. They will be extinct. The second time.

My favorite part, is that it has 200k miles and counting! A car doing what it was designed to do... and a Porsche does it really good!
Such a cool video!! So inspirational.
I revisit this video from time to time solely for a huge dose of dopamine, and to remind myself why I love being a car enthusiast
What a gorgeous car! Couldn't agree more with the bike analogy!
UPDATE: Drove the car to Rennsport Reunion and back. Over 5,000 more miles, and crossed 200,000 on the way back.
What a great film. I loved that first transition of him playing with the car into the car itself. #takethecar
The cinematography starting at 7:12 is absolutely top notch!
Absolutely beautiful SC. That stance is perfection. 🔥
Cool story super cool car and what an amazing film. Love the production the edits the style thanks for the inspiration.

Liking the wheels! Just purchased an 86 Carrera 3.2 and looking forward to putting some miles on her!
Fantastic film. Top notch videography and composition. Well done.

Love the nostalgic vibes this video gives out.
Great story. 200K miles=RESPECT. I’ve driven 250K miles on mine 1995 993 C4. Keep on driving brother.
I do the same in my new Porsche and vintage bicycle…
Got to stay thin for the weight saving effects.

Incredible video man! Just Wrapped my own Porsche Film and seeing others like this make me want to make another!
My thoughts exactly about the car being analog. You get such a sense of freedom when driving. Beautiful car.
❤
Pure , raw power, pure driving pleasure😊
How has this only has 12k views? This is such fantastic filming and editing. Probably some of the best I've ever seen.
Greetings from New Zealand
Really nice work! I completely agree about getting out and driving - Porsches are not made to sit still.
Simply stunning!
Ryan, this video is the exact reason why I am picking up my 1980 911sc today. You are doing it right sir. Enjoy
Absolutely incredible. Bless the increasing adoption of a native widescreen format.
Lovely work! Cinematography in an anothher level. love your work details.

Great video, great car. Greetings from Japan.

why would anybody call this evil!..Its a blessing from God!..."For all good things come down from the Father of lights"
Excellent filmography! Great music choices too, not to dull the engine noises and actually create that movie atmosphere to it. Well done
Man, after watching this, makes me want to jump in my Porsche and drive to the next galaxy.

You have to add the miles, use them for what they were intended to. Tomorrow or the next day is not promised 🏎 I could not have said it better
Very nicely done video💪💪

When a man gets emotional about this 4 wheels lover. I have an 87 Carrera 10 years now. Our honeymoon hasn't ended yet... enjoy.
“Tomorrow’s not promised…”
Drive on friend.
