    Yea I remember the comment about his 5th shadow. He wore out the last 4.

    I think this may be Ted's last tv appearance before he became ill and passed.

      No, he was on The Hollywood Palace again in 1967, hosted by Donald O'Connor. That show, or the relevant clip, is on RUclips as well--and it's in color.

      Ted Leiws was 74 when he performed here in 1964.

    For those who were concerned by a Black person portraying Ted’s shadow - here’s a clip from an old episode of “This Is Your Life” with Ted performing with Eddie Chester his original “shadow” from 1927. - Eddie was is a short white person who greatly resembled Ted Lewis..

    Ted never sang. Ted couldn’t sing. Ted spoke songs. The first song here he just bluffs his way through.
