She's stunning. So beautiful. So much class. I miss her.
45 years since Bewitched first appeared, 15 years since she passed away and I STILL have a crush on her.
Elizabeth Montgomery's beauty is absolutely breathtaking. What a fantastic actress.
We Love Elizabeth Montgomery ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Love it. Elizabeth looks terrific, you get to hear the vocal version of the theme and she's actually wearing a dress seen on the show Bewitched. Thanks for posting this. The quality is great.
"actually"
Elizabeth Montgomery was a goddess!
Those 3 Robertis were awesome!! Loved it. :))
I miss this type of television--thankful for RUclips and dvds
One of the most beautiful women on a tv series of the time----Elizabeth, you are so sadly missed, but never gone from our minds and thoughts-- my condolences to your family and all loved ones -- we will see you in the next life-- with love and gratitude
she was very beautiful and a truly great actress. she left us way too soon. thanks for the memories beautiful Elizabeth and rest in peace.
Well Denis your idol was in fact a male it's okay to adore and think someone beautiful but get it right! Dont insult us real women.
The most beautiful woman who ever lived.
both performances were really good
God, what a gorgeous woman! "Bewitched" was one of my faves. I had just started junior high school, so my parents allowed me to stay up later to watch TV - in time to see all of the fine women: Mary Tyler Moore, Elizabeth Montgomery, Barbara Eden. . .How great it was to become a teenager in the 1960s!
Women back then were naturals unlike today's women plastic surgery and and whatever they do that makes them look terrible
Five stars for just the Baja Marimba Band alone.
Thanks for sharing!
"The Hollywood Palace" was the "Saturday Night Live" of the time like SNL it is generally joined by a different host every week.
The Hollywood Palace is the TV version of Vaudeville. Vaudeville was the high class version of music halls, which have been around for centuries. SNL is the current iteration of that evolution.
This was originally telecast on October 1, 1966, and was Liz's first attempt at hosting a variety show. I believe ABC asked her to appear on the "PALACE" to promote her series (which had recently begun color telecasts); she approached it as somewhat of a "lark", to attempt something different than just being "Samantha". Not many people [and viewers] knew she could be just as talented in a production number or comedy sketch as being a straight actress...Dick Tufeld is your announcer.
Good one. 1966 was great to be 10.
Thk u for then info👍👍
@@helios1912yes it was I'm same age ❤️❤️👍
You're VERY welcome!
She was gorgeous, stunning..
I adored that Marimba band!
Can a girl be so lovely and beautiful? Great scense of humor and elegance? She has it all.
This is great. Miss ya Liz.
Ima 70s baby and ill admit this was some very real television at its best & I wish the classic celebrities was still living and still doing movies and not like the crap reality tv show mess of today
She's so gorgeous
The best thing about this episode is Liz Montgomery, probably the most beautiful women ever in television.
Both of her.
These were the days when we had family oriented shows.
Unlike today's programmes which are almost identical looking
for new talents or rubbish sitcoms which have no values at all.
She is as classy as she every was and she is missed vey much ! We love you very deeply GOD BE WITH YOU!
I remember this episode from so long ago.
Miss those days
Just Beautiful!
As a teenager I had such a crush on Liz Montgomery.
liz was one of the most beautiful women to ever grace the screen. she could just stand there and be great. left us way to soon. RIP Liz
Liz, is a class act! She was clearly before her time. It was a huge mistake for the network to have Nicoll Kidman to portray her version of Samantha[bewitched]. Liz, will always be a legend! Tinka, Tinka, Tink!
Elizabeth Montgomery was hot, gosh the simple times when watching the Oscars or anything back then on TV was fun!
STONECOLD1987 you forget one thing as who’s quest looking alike Elizabeth Montgomery in 2019 right now ????? This is Brie Larson looking alike twin sister of Elizabeth Montgomery. What’s small world. Brie Larson should be actor in renew bewitch show coming back. No kidding you as checking it out as looking both ladies looking twin matches Elizabeth Montgomery and Brie Larson.
Such a talented beauty!
I'm so glad my parents got DVD sets of the TV from the 60s to the 80s when I was younger. I'm 25, but I've watched shows such as Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Gilligan's Island, Mork and Mindy, Silver Spoons, Charles in Charge, Brady Bunch, etc. since I was in middle school.
A classy lady forever.
She was such a beauty.
I truly enjoyed the opening beginning of this show. So muchly I started to sing along. And watching thee most beautiful witch of her age. Samantha Stevens use her mystical magical touch. It made my eyes watery with sad and happy tears. And I am giggling and laughing to the beautiful comedy. And I am probably not the only one that said this but. I wish I got to meet her in person. 😪😊😪😊💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 Reast easy and rest in peace. My favorite witch 😪💔😪💔😪💔😪💔😪💔😪💔😪
Pure TV, what an absolute pleasure to watch. Would be money well spent for tv licence, instead of Crap they show in today's programs. Miss those days.
Intelligent beautiful Elizabeth Montgomery. 🤗🤗🤗❤
Respect. 🙏🏻
Plus incredible skills the men done.🏆🏆🏆
Elizabeth was an absolute goddess ❤️
Thanks for my first Happy Thought Liz :)
Miss you Liz....
I WANT A DVD of this episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pure class
You have an amazing collection. Thank you very much!
She was also an active member of woman's rights and gay rights. She truly was an amazing woman. Her legacy will live on forever.
I have stood outside this theater on Vine Street in Hollywood. It is still used for music concerts.
can you imagine what the three robertis hips and knees are feeling like right now
the clothes she wore on this show she wore on bewitched even the first dress she wore on her own show. She really was a class act and elegant.
She's so classy...
she was adorable
nice to hear the theme's lyrics.
i miss variety shows
ah! the baja marimba band, my dad had one of their albums, love that 60s music.
EXACTO... UNA BELLEZA AMERICANA Y DEL MUNDO,,ES LO MAS COMPLETO COMO IDEAL DE MUJER,,HERMOSA,ACTRIZ,MADRE,Y CON UN MAGNETISMO QUE ME ATRAPO DESDE LOS 6 AÑOS HASTA LOS 52 QUE TENGO AHORA ..Y NUNCA ME CANSO DE VERLA EN HECHIZADA Y DEMAS PELICULAS DE MAYOR MAGNITUD...SIEMPRE DIGO PORQUE LO BUENO SE VA TAN PRONTO,, TENIA MUCHO PARA DAR .....UN MUJER MUY EXQUISITA....
loved her X
Wow Elizabeth Montgomery, The Baja Marimba Band, and Dick Tufeld-the voice of the Robot on Lost in Space-all on one show
It's refreshing to hear her say "hostess".
She's my first TV crush.
I miss her.
Wow Elizabeth Montgomery-Asher looked really good. Boy do I miss her, she ll be missed. It was also a good show
Lovely lady!
i lovely elizabeth montgomery and you dress is beautifull , and perfect face and bewitching eyes !! i love love with all my life !!!!
Wow good 🤩👍👍✌❤
You are so right, lucy said that in a 1978 interview that TV had gone down the tubes and that was in 78. Lizzy Montgomery was one of the prettiest and classy women ever on TV. She was very kind outside her work. In 1969 this blind girl wrote her office and she and her family were going to be out there and could she meet Lizzy. Bill Asher gave the ok and the girl and her family went out to there house. On July 16th 69, Lizzy told her she go up early to watch the men leave for the moon that day.
Wow, that opening number is something else - managing to incorporate all her conjuring schtick as well as the theme song with lyrics! Odd, but fun, and really the sort of thing that should have been included on one of the dvd sets, in my opinion.
This was a most superior variety series ever made! truely a classic ABC-TV icon from
the 1960s. but more impressive, was the fact that United Artists Television also co-produced
this series,,and that Dick Tufeld was the voice announcer, while working as the voice of the
"Robot" on "LOST IN SPACE"-may he truely Rest in Peace! but down the road,it is hoped
that this series will be made availible on DVD,eventually. i know that ABC did a special in
1993 on this show.
wow, the 3 Roberti's!!! Only the 2nd time I've ever heard my last name on TV , the other was on Hart To Hart! ( Honey. why don't we dine at Roberti's ( restaurant) tonite!>? oK JOHNAHAN!
KinnikuSuguru is absolutely correct. The opening number played by the Baja Marimba Band is "Acapulco 1922", which was also covered by Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass on their first album, "The Lonely Bull".
@screenjims2006 No one could have said it better than you just did. I was 4 when the show came out, Sept 17,1964. Elizabeth Montgomery was my first crush as I got older. She never missed work in all 254 shows. I cannot believe she did not win an Emmy. Alice Peace did, the first one, but died of Cancer but kept working. Liz talks about her in an interview in she did in 1991. She left us way too soon, I remember I was in the car and the top of the hour on the news the bewitched song played.
@marianaph17, I agree with you. In fact, I think it's safe to say that pretty much ANY decade since the inception of the "modern-day" audio/visual medium had more magic and integrity than what we've been calling entertainment over the last several years.
Who cares about her dress. She would still be the most gorgeous creature ever, even in a potato sack.
When it came to variety shows, I usually considered the song and dance routines as filler in between the comedy sketches. But it was interesting to see the Baja Marimba band live, cee-gars and all.
the thing at the start was really inspiring
Was wearing a tuxedo required. Even the acrobats.
One of my favorite pieces of Elizabeth's work was a part she had in an episode of the Thriller series hosted by Karloff, from 1961. It was called Masquerade. Black and white TV and she was brunette, before she died her hair blond. It was a really good piece with John Carradine and it has a surprise twist at the end. It is on You Tube if you are interested.
Her hair was dyed, not died. She went back to being brunette later in life on the tv series "Deadline for Murder: From the Files of Edna Buchanan." She looked amazing in any color of hair! Sure wish she had lived longer to be able to do more things. She was so talented!
I've heard Elizabeth was painfully shy. She was a great actress...always appeared cordial and vivacious.
Motown65 had it right...one of, if not, iconic TV's greatest beauties. Liz could've carried a variety show all her own. I'm struck by how down-to-earth and not glammy/snooty she remained out of her suburban Bewitched element. By many accounts I've read, seems she was quite a nice person.
Dominick Dunne once lived in the same building with her and he said that she was such a wonderful friend and that she had an insane sense of humor! They had so many good laughs together.
those dancers,,o my
did you ever notice that all the hosts on the Hollywood Palace were culled from shows on ABC?
Herb Alpert is the "A" in A&M Records.
who was the 1st act? Did she say the 3 Roberti's ??
I have seen the Hollywood Palace in person (the building not the show). It's just off Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood. The last I knew they still have rock shows there.
hotness on legs
what an entrance! - she looks so much like Jane Fonda
Jane fonda can't compare to her!
I miss her and Agnes Moorehead they were the best actresses ever
Wow, she must've loved that dress...she wore it on an episode of Bewitched...I want to say in "Charlie Harper, Winner," from season 3, but I can't remember exactly...
Uh, I love her dress:)
que emocion ,este es el verdadero cine, tantos recuerdos
i was on tv when i was 5 and I was "shy" or phobic. Still don't know to this day, LOL
Does anyone know who designed that beautiful gown?
@marianaph17, I was being sarcastic in response to the people saying that this is "cornball." My point is, compared to what people today call trendy and cool, Hollywood Palace looks like footage from the Algonquin Round Table.
man dis allmost 50 years old yet things do good us uk got tallent nuts i kool me bd ruffyy
I have a comprehension of what you go through. As far as Elizabeth, I would have loved to have been friends with her. I was (am) 20 years younger and far removed from her social circle.
what year is this? Late sixties?
How did you find this
muito .bom .devia voltar de novo
God did not create a more heavenly creature
You can see the humble beginnings of current WWE "wrestling" with the Three Robertinis.
💔💔💔💔💔
She always looked very hot. She left us way too young.
Didn't she wear this dress on an episode of Bewitched? Or at least one very, very similar? I swear I've seen tht on her before.
Yes.
How many know her father was the very famous movie star of the 30's and 40's, Robert Montgomery?
