You really need to check out the entire album! They're one of those bands that can switch up their sounds as often as they want but never lose their vibe. Smoking on some GMO x Wedding Crashers right now, perfect for Sublime in the morning.
“5446”is a cover..I think by the Ska band Toots & the Maytals...another good cover by Sublime is “Scarlet Begonias”. Or some original songs are “Waiting for my Ruca” & “Boss DJ”

Well, since you asked, I'm smoking some Wedding Cake I grew this summer. Pretty decent. Been a serious Sublime fan since '97 and fucking love this song. Impossible to ever say which is my favorite, but this song is always somewhere in the top 5.

A low key banger you need to react to is the rareities version of the Bob Marley song, real situation off of the "everything under the sun" album. Bradley was one of our generations greatest lyricists. But Sublimes cover game is off the hook.
Everything under the sun is a really underrated album of theirs. Once heard someone call sublime the greatest cover band of all time and I loved it
Hell yeah! That 40 oz. sun is so iconic with the symbolism and shit. Fun fact, Opie Ortiz did that art along with the cover of their self-titled (and Brad's back tattoo on it), Secondhand Smoke, and Everything Under the Sun. Super talented artist who still tattoos out in Cali

When this album came out I had this on solid repeat.
An early release had a phone call convo part that got cut out in later releases.
This album deserves to be listened straight through, start to finish . It flows so well.
I COMPLETELY forgot about that phone call part!!!! Way back in '93 I bought the 40 oz released by Skunk and by '98 it was too beat up to play- due to years of being passed around from one car to the car of whoever was driving plus it had to be played at every house party, so it took a ton of abuse from drunk teens too. Thank God for the internet, when it stopped playing, I was devastated for years cause I couldn't replace it, but its everywhere now!!

I have wanted to get that Sun as a Tattoo since I was 16 years old. I will be 45 in October and still haven't gotten it unfortunately.
I love all their songs but “Get Ready” and “Slow Ride” are my favorites.
The "Toots and the Maytals" version of this was great but I like this better. That said, Toots is worth a look if you liek Reggae. He is an original Reggae giant.

The funny thing is, Brad hated that song. Not because its a bad song but because he lost and forgot the original lyrics which was to the same tune and beat about Bud and how he was juiced up on Jesus after rehab and he never could get it right so he just wrote news lyrics, but said it was way better with the old lyrics.
