i think allot of people just rate on the go and don't really reflect properly on what they are logging. It ends up being just a general catalog of "what they like and dislike" vs a fair review of the brew vs it's category profile.

I love your videos, so please keep up the good work. I think you are off on this video. Untappd is not for rating beers by style guidelines. Breweries already have a system for rating their beers based on style guidelines and judge programs. It is for individuals to rate what they think of beers. This is an awesome thing for a brewery because it gives them insight into the consumer market. They can see trends and where the market is going. I think you should not buy beer based on Untappd rating but rather what people are saying about the beer. There should be a push torwards that.

Thank ;) I'm not saying I'm doing it right. Just want to make people reflect on how they use Untappd. I don't think there is a right way, but I know some small breweries in Denmark are struggling to expand and export their beers because of unfair Untappd ratings. I think people have their own way and that's the way it will always be. It just wanted to create a discussion so people actually reflect on how they are using it and make it more conscious :)
