Thanks for the review, ❤, just to say as a Chanel customer/collector for decades, the bag you tested was a very cheap model. They really don’t cost very much at all. The inside of all my Chanel classic flap bags are all lined with butter soft Lambskin leather, which I have used for decades and still absolutely top notch quality. Over the years, I have bought cheaper models like yours, they are at least 3-5 times cheaper and as a customer, I don’t mind that, as they are meant to be cheaper models for me to throw things in. Having said that, I am shocked to see they have not disintegrated yet 😂 despite I don’t take care when using them. I won’t buy any Chanel bag post year 2017 onwards, the quality really had suffered irrespective which models you go for. If you have owned several vintage Chanel bags like me, I bought most of mine from Chanel boutiques, I can absolutely tell the difference without the need to ripping it apart 😂. Like any couture houses, they have cheaper models for a reason. The older models are absolutely superior in quality, plus I kept them well except those cheaper models 😂. I have moved on from buying bags from Chanel to Hermes, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Launer, and Strathberry. Their leather products are consistently very high quality especially Hermes. Also, as a luxury goods customer, it’s the beauty AND quality AND versatility AND colour AND hardware that matter. Unfortunately an ugly bag but well put together won’t fly because there are plenty of excellent choices out there. ❤❤❤

Loved the video, However I am not sure of the bag’s authenticity due to the look of some of the hardware and it’s coloring, the font of the logo on the inner pocket and the zipper…. Would you mind asking a couple of people who authenticate professionally? 80’s and 90’s Chanel has a lot of good fakes, people who made them actually used good leather and quality materials so there are a lot of them today (Vintage Heriloom has a fabulous video about that from 6/7yrs ago). P.s: I am not stating that the bag is fake due to the pu lining, as Chanel is now famous for cutting cots so nothing surprises me, it’s just that a friend has a very similar bag from the 90s and the hardware (specifically the logo zipper) looks quite different.
This is crazy!! I had heard rumors that Chanel used to use fake leather. I wonder if they still do. Truly gross at that price point. And here I thought vintage quality was superior because it had real gold plating. Looks like Chanel is just not worth it imo.

I’ve had a few older Chanel with a PU lining. I currently still have an older phone crossbody with P.U. ( also I currently have a Gucci with a peeling P.U. Lining). That lining shreds and/or sticks to itself over time. None of my newer post 90’s Chanel bags have a P U lining. My classic double flaps have a leather lining. I have some with fabric lining. I’m pretty familiar with many older Chanel but must admit I’ve never seen the design you have. Did it have a authentication tag inside?
Hi Volkan, I hope you're doing great. I have a question that I hope you can answer for everyone. I've acquired some handbags that I didn't know were more prone to scratches and dents than other cowhide materials. I noticed that my lamb skin and goat skin bags are more prone to scratches, scuffs, dents, etc. What are the best ways to prolong life or minimize the damage to these types of softer/scratch-prone leather goods so that we can continue to use them for years to come? Your insights on leather care for more sensitive types would be greatly appreciated so that we could all live more sustainably. Thank you in advance!
You have to be mindful of moisture, dirt, sue transfers from other fabrics. Stuff the bag to maintain the shape, don’t overfill it with heavy stuff, and if possible bro in a climate controlled environment, it if direct sunlight
I think that a test on Cr6 presence would be important on all the bags not Chanel in particular. Cr6 can develop under certain circumstances and It provokes allergies and sometimes cancer by contact to the users
I'm not really the biggest leather guy in the world, I just like my leather wallet and I love craftmanship of items such as luxury goods because we're sort of predisposed to the idea that this expensive item from this brand must come with a story, and great artisan craft men must be behind these making them with love by hand, but today the only story on everyones mind when purchasing a luxury item is, "is this actually leather?" or "is this item even real?"
As an Asian, I tried to bathe myself in designer purses in the 90’s. But I never got into Chanel; it seemed to be made for the thin, tall white woman 🤷🏻♀️. Loved Gucci & Louis. I bought a small Chanel dresser with chain from Harrods and everything you said here about fakes applies to it! The stitching is terrible, especially the zip at the corner. It's raised on one side and flat on the other, the zip won't engage properly and the top handle is bent and takes some moving around to straighten out. All in all if someone told me it was a fake I would believe them! So might as well buy *unidups* instead of the £1300 authentic one.

No, Chanel bags were around USD1,000 each in the early '90s.
It is the same fake leather of Chanel 22 bag...
Not gonna lie, this one hurt to see torn apart.
As an Asian, I tried to bathe myself in designer purses in the 90’s. But I never got into Chanel; it seemed to be made for the thin, tall white woman 🤷🏻♀️. Loved Gucci & Louis. This channel has been eye opening. I hope to steer my 9 year old away from designer things. It should be noted that she and her friends say that things are “Gucci” when things are good 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😊🥸
Please review Celine and Loewe! ❤
Yikes! Thank goodness Ive move on from Lux market years ago! Thanks Tanner!
After those bags being tested, can you restore them to the conditions they were? Or they go to the bin? Please tell us. Thank you
This was my question. What happens to the bag after it’s been deconstructed?
He said before he reuses some of it to make new things
@@fortmacmom3122 I’m only new to the channel. Thanks for clearing that up.
After looking at your videos ,you have enlightened me with your findings .... TEDDY BLAKE BAGS FOR ME NOW they are beautiful.
So many talk about the art of creation, so few talk about the art of destruction.
I Learnt so much from this channel that i started developed interest in leather. i want to learn a skill in this trade whether its on authencity to craftmenship
No matter the appearance or the metal parts of the *aceluxs*’s bags I believe that as long as you are not a practitioner, you will never see any difference
I'm really surprised i thought it would've been better quality and certainly leather in the 90s
I hope you reconstruct these expensive bags after deconstruction. The bags are too pricey to be cut up
Whats the red lonesome flap bag behind you
the lyxbag would be super cute during the fall with a nude or tan or even tonal outfit! i’m thinking a tan wool coat with that bag!!
The lyxbag canvas tote bag actually reminds me of Hermes Garden Party, too. Thanks for making this video on suggesting more budget friendly alternativ
Just shock my life!!! And people out there still crazy for the vintage one and the price is still not make sense for me
What kind of seam ripper is that I want it😊
There’s even ads in instagram Chinese voice showing high quality same material of Chanel “same as original “ i can’t believe instagram approved that ads.
It would be unusual for Chanel to fake the appearance of leather inside. They would either use real leather, fabric or silk.
Not true, many vintage luxury brands used vinyl for linings
I have purchased many vintage luxury brands and most use this type of lining….it peels and can get sticky.
How can I know the bag is original ?
$3000 and they use fake leather, even 30 years ago. Further proof that “luxury” is a scam.
I saw many vintage Chanel bag in bag spa whose inside are totallly chipped. The owner of this bag must have used this bag once or twice and left it in the shelf.😂
Wow.... thanks.... 4 sharing...😮
Soooooo this is what today would be considered outlet, not retail, quality 😃
It hurts my heart to see a gorgeous vintage leather bag like that destroyed. I was hoping you would test on an inside area and not destroy the bag.
The bag was cracked already at the side….
I agree - fake leather or not, it was still beautiful.
I am literally peeing my pants, it hurts to see those bags destroyed.
could you do a review on etienne aigner or Aigner Munich?? i just found your channel and have been binging your shorts and videos. love how your estimates compare to the price of luxury brands ❤
Thanks for the new video 😊
What about the gold?
I saved up money for a few months to buy a ZP, but it got scratched on the third day. I cried so much, and then my boyfriend bought me a bag from HIDUPZ for me to carry alternately. Anyway, there are so many bags on the street, so as long as others can't see it, I think it's fine. The thought is there.
I was in Turkey recently and had a empriente multi pouchette with me. They show me a LYXBAG bag and it looked just like it.
Entrupy is not 100%. I wouldn’t trust that. I’ve heard of so many fakes getting by entrupy. Also so many fake vintage out there smh 🤦🏽♀️
Is this true of the new bags also?
Just wondering where can I purchase any pieces of leather at the price? I seems to overpay mine. 🤔
I love the coat you're wearing! It matches my DUPBAGY bag perfectly!
Thank you for another informative video❤
I am deeply hurt that that bag is younger than I am.
kay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the HIDUPZ book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
Rest assured he can reline and see the bag back together.
Please do Montblanc leather goods
This was a good 1 bc it was hard to break it down
I hear the bag shriking...
I don’t miss a day a week *yutulu*This show..😂😂😂😂
Ooo I’m starting to appreciate my roots leather bags more and more now. Don’t need a “high end” brand name to have good quality leather. Seems quite the opposite 🤯
How is Kate spade bag. Do review.
Outside lambskin leather...inside PU leather - id say better, does not stain easy to clean, bag keeps shape better..
My vintage Chanel bags still look great...
Entrupy is not as great as having someone like Zeko Authentication.
By Watching this. I’m going to adjust my brands. I want a good quality bag and briefcase that has good materials able to use better materials.
Can you try to deconstruct Senreve bag?
Or Jemma ?
Question? Why do you think PU was used? Thank you for sharing ❤
He answers it in the video
The original cost of that Chanel bag in the 90s was not $4K.
I am curious, what was the original price of this bag at that time? 🤔 About $1K or lower?
A classic flap was 1150, and given that prices weren’t extremely crazy and a birkin was 2500 at tht point, this bag could not have exceeded 2000 at the time. He’s just pulling prices out of thin air at this point because he’s so anti Chanel.
@Mrs. VanB Most likely at the highest $1K.
@@curlykutie Okay thanks for the clarification. However, where did you get that he is so anti Chanel? 🤷🏾♀️ Okay, he made a mistake about the price, but that doesn’t mean he is anti Chanel. Doesn’t make sense at all.
@Kimia My first Chanel Classic a Flap was in the early 2000's and it was about $1500-$1800 at Neiman Marcus
That purse was so pretty and I was cringing as he was slicing and dicing it. Fake or not 😂.
And now chanel has increased their price exponentially. Yikes.
And folks keep buying them with the crappy quality and overpriced bags.
