😱😂😬 thanks for the dose of truth Ana … we have a lot of different issues here in the US … hopefully with all the McDonald’s and burger kings etc popping up in Portugal … the bad parts of western culture don’t take too much of a hold there.

Oh my goodness, dear Ana, why oh why would you want to visit Los Angeles and take public transportation? You poor thing!! It's shocking and I've lived there for over 20 years (and have NEVER taken public transportation). The traffic, the quick tempers, the tents of homeless, the nutrient deficient, tasteless produce, the high prices, the stress levels of everybody rushing, rushing, rushing. Well I guess now you have a much better idea of why we come to Portugal!! It's going on 3 years and I have not been back there. I will have to go back eventually for some family business and I know that I will be shocked. So happy to be living in the town you found for us.

Hi! 😊 It's always so nice to see lovely comments from our clients ☺️
Visiting Los Angeles was definitely an eye-opener, especially when experiencing the city’s challenges firsthand. It makes us appreciate Portugal's slower pace and fresh produce more. We're so glad to hear you’ve found happiness here too! ✨

I like Portuguese food, but it can be a bit same as same as, I had a lot of pork cheeks last time I was there, and the portions are just way too big. The UK gets a lot of stick for having bad food, but you can get a meal that originates from anywhere in the world just about anywhere, it’s better that there is no “UK food”. If my aim of moving there comes to fruition, I’m glad I’m a decent cook, because I’d get a bit fed up of only portuguese food.

It sounds like you are staying in the San Francisco/ San Jose area. That is the most expensive area of California. If you are visiting only the large cities in California and the rest of America, you are going to pay much more than you would be in the rest of the country. I have no idea where you are eating, but there are so many restaurants in California that have full flavor and plenty of seasonings. Get away from the large downtown areas and you will eat better food and pay much less for it. The homeless problem is really bad because the housing prices are so high many people can no longer afford to rent a place. AirB&Bs have ruined the housing market much like they have in Lisbon. I have been to Portugal several times now after learning my ancestors were from the Azores. I love your country and the people there. I hope you are very successful with your business and you enjoy the rest of your stay here in California.

Thank you so much for your comment! 😊 You're absolutely right about the cost differences in various parts of California. It's rather disheartening seeing the homelessness situation in California, and to hear how similar situations are affecting other parts of the world like Lisbon.
Thank you for your kind words and support-your encouragement means a lot to us! 😊
