i will admit, if my memory isnt failing me sniper was pretty good when i played it but it simply isnt worth the painful amount of effort it takes to get there
The best runs are with legendary Ninja. If you masater his ability to do dash mid air with your attack, then you can easily avoid all attacks of your enemies
Well, i do like my Hunter done right. It goes like this. Rolling for the Multi-Shot, and getting Piercing Shot ether on skull upgrade, or skill reroller NPC. Might as well be naimed Shotgun and Railgun respectively :) Next is item build itself. And the most important one of them will be Attendant's Pauldrons. Courage inscription, some Physical Attack, and reduction in concentration time. All of that is good stuff for Hunter in one neat package. Other things is all about crit chance, with 2 Strike on the side. But only IF you have enough Physical Attack. So to not end like Beelz here with below 500% in Dark Hero fight :D You can go for 100% chance if you got things like Thief Black Steel Daggers, Blood-Drinking Sword, Hunter's Wooden Longbow... but that is for those who living in a perfect world XD Not-so-bad substitude will be most of +10% crit chance rare items. Standard-Issue Carleon Bow + Assassin Dagger is really good combo too. 23 crit chance, 2 in Strike... good times all around. Another usefull inscription is Misfortune. Just for that +15% to crit chance. Early things to look for is Jenny's Chain Sickle, Thief Armor, Sphere of Sniping. Altrough Sphere is have Magic stuff in it, Misfortune and +10% to crit damage is making up for it. So let's say you just have the worst luck ever, and nothing above rare is dropping. This is what i cobble up for such occasion to hold you over: Standard-issue Carleon Bow, Standard-issue Carleon Sword, Attendant's Pauldrons, Assassin Dagger, Execution Axe, Invisible Knife, Sphere of Sniping, Distorted Curved Sword and Golden Sword. Just going to save you the trouble of expecting at the end, colored inscriptions don’t get upgraded at the end of the run. That includes Masterpiece, Sun and Moon, Omen and Sin
I think youre reading his crit rate and crit damage wrong? Crit rate increases when hitting enemies that are closer and the crit damage goes up when theyre outside that distance
to be fair, i think some skulls are not prepared to mirror 10. hunter being one of them. yaksha also is one that is still awful. they just need more damage. that's it.
FYI NOTHING happens when you get Masterpiece to 5 and go to the witch. There is NO upgrade inscription for it, so dont waste your time trying for it. Very disappointing TBH. Had a killer bleed boy run with double upgraded terrible blade shards, the chalice, blood drinking sword maxed and i thought the upgraded Masterpiece would finally put me over the top against dark skul. Alas, i had to settle for a really good upgraded bleed inscription. Still cant beat skul on DM10, so im going back to old reliable....GHHHOOOOOUUUUUULLLLLLLL!
Granted you didnt have a lot of dps, but you also have been playing on DM1 mostly aside from that Ascetic DM9 run you did, so i think you forget that Dark Hero has like 100k hp and hits like a truck on DM10. And forget about Dark Skul, you need an ultra giga build to be able to take him down on DM10.
I just think concentration as it is is too slow for the game, you don't have time to stand around and it also hurts the fun(similar to atk spd builds, but more about that later), especially since the payoff isnt that great and the items dont help that much either. imo, they should make all concentration attacks and abilities instacast when theyre done loading and give them a big payoff with solid base damage, so that you're not forced to load up an attack to make it worth your while, rather allow you to gain either extra damage/range at the cost of being hit and having bad timing or at the cost of item slots for synergies and speed. If you stack concentration cdr, you should barely have to hold the button at a certain point to make it worth the item slots. On another note, I love attack speed and sadly rapidity is still kinda bad, I'd love it if they made it possible to just hold the base atk button down to attack, even if its bound to a certain amount of atk spd or Rapidity, it would solve some of the mashing issues and allow you to time dodges more easily, especially lategame. Rapidity could also add an attack(maybe even a double or triplestrike with a little less damage) that counts as a base attack when dodging, helping you keep stacks on items and dps, especially in bossfights where you cant stand anywhere near the boss.
Mines more predator, ninja, and werewolf, predator has no eyeframes, ninja too quick(im actually doing better with him) and werewolf did jack all for physical damage even after he was decked out and with 2 hope slashers, physical werewolf needs a buff
Talking about Masterpiece run, I truly recomende Omen-Masterpiece I know is omen, but if you get it the fully awaken it, you get 300% - 500% (minimum) damage in 1 item
It seems crit builds can't be hyper focused because it would lack base damage, but to do any good crit build we need lots of itens around it. I think crit itens may need some buffs
Also, ranged characters doing less damage isn't even valid for this game since there isn't much value to being far from enemies since most enemies can get close pretty quickly and boss fights are in a somewhat tight room. Idk, Hunter needed a lot more
This is one of the problems with the game. This is a GOD crit build, and it sucks ass, because if you don't build damage, your build sucks on D10. The balance in the game is just off. Building defensively is AWFUL, because your boss fight will take 25 minutes and the best defensive builds in the game are using Warrior, Spartan, and Hercules to invulnerable through everything while doing insane damage. Shield skull is USELESS since you can't hit so many enemies with anything other than the awful jump attack. This game is fun, but it had SO much wasted potential. Half the skulls suck compared to the other half, half the items are awful and should never be used, and there is NO build variety, because damage > everything. EVERY item should have damage on it, period, damage focused items shoudl be the ones that get you 75%+ and the other items should have 25-35% to make them viable. Every item and skull is viable, right up until D5-6, then the only thing that is viable is DPS, and that suuuuucks.
XD This Skul is Fine XD The Problem is u need to use his swap and spam skill just 1 tap and swap again to another skul > if u use pure attack is not gona work if u have good items
I never liked the concentration hunter, the pay out was never enough; especially when going a strike hunter build, the crit rate is decent enough that the crit percent amplifier is negligible. Concentration hunter needs more CC built into his charge basic attack like warrior; at least enough to make standing still less vulnerable, maybe a push back after full charge. This will also work nicely into his damage modifier passive.
Maybe drop the poison stuff and push for raw Physical Attack scaling... Omen Sun Sword would be really funny as a stat stick! + Hope Slasher - Veiled Mask ( honestly your crit damage was going so hard that it might have been better to just do crits more often ) + Rear Blast(? maybe?) but yeah the build is actually good it's just you went way too hard into the side synergies and neglected your basic Physical Attack stats which scale into basically all your damage.
To get real damage you need basic damage as its the base to increase the critical... 500% is low for level 10 run as boses has so much health. You need more than 800% ~1000% damage increase and some critical would be realy good...
Pretty much. It's why I consider black steel dagger to be the only really worthwhile crit boosting item for most builds. The run stands as an example of how going all in on ''empty'' inscriptions that don't offer flat boosts isn't great.
Funnily enough, I had a broken run with hunter today, where I managed to get a total of 2900% phys dmg with a lot of dmg amp as well, melted both emperor's hands in 10 seconds, and his heart in one stationary shot full charge.
Hell if I remember, but I DO remember having coward's bow and an omen, which increases dmg based on the amount of masterpiece parts you have, and amount of masterpiece parts you destroyed, plus I had all 5 parts of masterpiece (btw, I was really sad to learn that masterpiece doesn't have an improved version) Oh, and double olive cudgel, thanks, slime boi@@Blaze-nm1uh

I feel like DM10 might be a little scuffed and anything that doesn't have courage or wisdom baked in is just straight up unviable. You need like 800%~900% of your damage stat to really pop off, and even then you need all the damaging items and skills you can get. I had an arthur with 900% magic and another grim reaper on 2000% (!!!) magic attack that couldn't kill dad in a timely manner. On the other hand magic run with kaboomer swapping into literally anything is almost a guaranteed win.

I used to actually enjoy Hunter... until I realised he was kinda poopoo. But you did super well considering how you brought hunter to DM10 to be frank. Dude's damage is just abysmal, even at legendary.
oh what could've been 😢 ... a way to "fix" the rider-skull and make him more viable for dark skul and higher difficulty in general would be to make the bike-ability like archlichs seal and/or give him invulnerability during usage. maybe shorten the duaration for every hit you take or something.

Hunter boy's dealing damage a bit more easily now, but definitely not enough to manage a build without some great boosts to your damage output! Oh, I finally managed to beat difficulty 7 thanks to Heracles skull. He's sooo fun and good. I got some high damage build and went to town with it, but I didn't beat the king this time (second time fighting it though)
I feel like new hunter wants to get items for one of crit rate or crit damage, and then a bunch of damage ones and compensate the other crit thing that you didn't get through positioning. Idk though Oh no, the sad wheel...
Rip not getting the archer's legendary since that one increases dmg depending on crit rate, but who knows if thats even useful lol. But this is still good

Just completed diff 10 with Hunter/warrior, ngl Hunter is pain in the ass before you get his legendary version, and skme pretty good build (thief's dagger, gunpowder sword and some phys increase) even then, with good items he sucked on boss fights, warrior did all the work with 30k dmg per skill. Time for diff10 dark skul........
I really like taking hunter as a first skull at the terminal, his swap and skills are pretty good when you have no items. However, he will be discarded pretty quickly.
never played archer because he never felt good to me personally but idk if its because his play style is just harder to use or if he just needs more power because hes lacking
Alas, my poor hunter boy, I knew him.... I'm almost afraid to watch. But it's okay. Old Gil still loves you. For me, aiming for a good Hunter run is taking poison items, charge speed items, wide shot and piercing shot. Never stationary, _ever_ You're not the strongest or the fastest but I like finding small windows to charge up and do big blasts so you did okay even in DM10 (I haven't played the newest patch though..) I remember one run I got hunter to legendary and warrior to unique, it kicked butt. But yeahhh, he really needs the right items and skills _or else_ Well then! Lets see how this could be even more tragic than that *rapidity basic attack spam no charging* hunter run from a while ago XD Whew boy that was an experience
Hey Beelz. To save you 40 minutes of heartache, Masterpiece does not have an inscription capstone. But! If you haven't done a run without ANY maxed inscriptions, I would recommend that, as you do get something out of it. Collection desire run maybe?

Beelz are you a yugioh player? cause you clearly cannot read; hunter crit dmg increases if you are FARTHER than the first distance limit to get the crit rate increase not closer. Anyway i still really like the hunter changes, one of my favorite skulls still and hopefully you might actually try and rig a better run later maybe?

The fact you took the mask gave me quite a shock since most times you run crit you dont take it of you see it i can tell hunter with mask is strong now

Just because I planned to have a speedy boy like Ninja or (inavitably) Prisoner. Someone with high mobility to compliment Hunter. Even Werewolf is alright. Also has baked in crit synergy

Hunter sucks man, even with 4 strike, AND damage (no mask because that’ll neuter your raw damage without compensation) items, he’s still the wimpiest hitter in the game. Absolutely disgusting, but good job getting to the first hero with him. Might be time for another cathartic king run no? Knock off the piss fumes from this disaster of a run.
What damage? No damage. The only damage item he had was a Distorted Curved Sword for +25% Physical. Strike multiplies damage, Misfortune multiplies damage, Poison multiplies damage. All he had were multipliers with no base damage. A million multiplied by zero is still zero.
Hunter is ok. He's not winning prizes or anything but he needs a damage focused build instead of a crit one. Werewolf would have sucked here as well unfortunately. I think most skulls would. It just isn't as viable to do very narrow builds like this in DM10. But the game gave a lot of funny crit things so I went with them. If anything this stands as a testament to the reality that a complex crit build is inferior to big heavy hitty thing.
@@Beelz55 Strike 4 is pretty awesome on Hunter. It was just trying to force Misfortune 4 and Poison and Gunpowder Sword on it as well that killed the run. The new Strike Mystery item makes Strike runs even better than they were before. If you had Courage 2 and Arms 2 with some good damage from those items, we would have had a very strong run.

Every run I have used Hunter in feels like the worst one I have done. I don't like him.
For me it's opposite, every run with him is a bless to me, on-hit builds with his stationary shot skill are really strong.

Poor hunter, despite the update, he couldn't shine because strike is only mid. Well. I guess there's only one thing to do now...

Hunter is my cursed skull, I have yet to win with him, even on normal mode or level 0. Where as I’ve at least won once with every other skull.
Here's how you do Biker against Dark Skul: you get Rapidity 4 plus anything else that enhances basic attacks, and you just don't ever get in the bike.

this is mainly on his basic attacks. his skills were always nice, and just a bonus to charge to full.
I had hunter with 2 hopeless slashers, gunpowder sword and the ring still lost.

Using a DEX build is always lowkey hard.

I think you'd probably need something SO specific for him. Like. Courage + Strike + a single concentration-boosting item? idk Hunter feels like Warlock, like ONE specific combination MIGHT be able to make him go totally nuts but like... Why bother when so many other skulls can just build (courage/wisdom) + (fucken whatever) and do just fine

I feel like DM10 might be a little scuffed and anything that doesn't have courage or wisdom baked in is just straight up unviable. You need like 800%~900% of your damage stat to really pop off, and even then you need all the damaging items and skills you can get. I had an arthur with 900% magic and another grim reaper on 2000% (!!!) magic attack that couldn't kill dad in a timely manner. On the other hand magic run with kaboomer swapping into literally anything is almost a guaranteed win.

I used to actually enjoy Hunter... until I realised he was kinda poopoo. But you did super well considering how you brought hunter to DM10 to be frank. Dude's damage is just abysmal, even at legendary.

a way to "fix" the rider-skull and make him more viable for dark skul and higher difficulty in general would be to make the bike-ability like archlichs seal and/or give him invulnerability during usage. maybe shorten the duaration for every hit you take or something.

Hunter boy's dealing damage a bit more easily now, but definitely not enough to manage a build without some great boosts to your damage output! Time to wait for that revenge match when it arrives, rigged or not! Hunter Lives Matter, take 'em to the gym to buff their strength stats!

Oh, I finally managed to beat difficulty 7 thanks to Heracles skull. He's sooo fun and good. I got some high damage build and went to town with it, but I didn't beat the king this time (second time fighting it though)

Just completed diff 10 with Hunter/warrior, ngl Hunter is pain in the ass before you get his legendary version, and skme pretty good build (thief's dagger, gunpowder sword and some phys increase) even then, with good items he sucked on boss fights, warrior did all the work with 30k dmg per skill.
Time for diff10 dark skul........

You're not the strongest or the fastest but I like finding small windows to charge up and do big blasts so you did okay even in DM10 (I haven't played the newest patch though..) I remember one run I got hunter to legendary and warrior to unique, it kicked butt. But yeahhh, he really needs the right items and skills _or else_

Nah, Cursed Chests amplify damage. He didn't need more amplification. He had next to no base damage, that was the problem.

Hunter sucks man, even with 4 strike, AND damage (no mask because that’ll neuter your raw damage without compensation) items, he’s still the wimpiest hitter in the game. Absolutely disgusting, but good job getting to the first hero with him. Might be time for another cathartic king run no? Knock off the piss fumes from this disaster of a run.
What damage? No damage. The only damage item he had was a Distorted Curved Sword for +25% Physical. Strike multiplies damage, Misfortune multiplies damage, Poison multiplies damage. All he had were multipliers with no base damage. A million multiplied by zero is still zero.
Hunter is ok. He's not winning prizes or anything but he needs a damage focused build instead of a crit one. Werewolf would have sucked here as well unfortunately. I think most skulls would. It just isn't as viable to do very narrow builds like this in DM10. But the game gave a lot of funny crit things so I went with them. If anything this stands as a testament to the reality that a complex crit build is inferior to big heavy hitty thing.
@@Beelz55 Strike 4 is pretty awesome on Hunter. It was just trying to force Misfortune 4 and Poison and Gunpowder Sword on it as well that killed the run. The new Strike Mystery item makes Strike runs even better than they were before. If you had Courage 2 and Arms 2 with some good damage from those items, we would have had a very strong run.
