I would say it's less a matter of Dad being a harder fight vs. Dark Skul, and more that Dark Skul is more conducive to how Ghoul tanks stuff. Ghoul specializes when he can stand up in people's face and brawl it out. Get your revenge healing, stack up meat, get heals. With Dad that's hard to do because he's stuck on the walls half the fight while throwing attacks at you, making it hard to take advantage of Revenge and Ghoul's Meat. Dark Skul meanwhile is much more grounded, the only main exception being his Lance form, but that's only one third of the second phase on average. I think overall Dark Skul is a harder fight, BUT Dad is much more dangerous to the tankier, bulkier skulls comparatively.

I got a run with him last night & honestly I don't know if it's just been a while since I've touched Skul consistently or what but it feels like he got a significant buff. It did *_REALLY_* well but unfortunately I died on the secret boss fight
The issue with Dave the Diver is that Mint Rocket, its developer and publisher, are a subsidiary of Nexon. Taehwan Kim, Vice President of Nexon America stated that Dave the Diver, "may look like an indie, but it's not necessarily the case".
Because of this, I hesitate to call Dave the Diver an indie because it's essentially developed by a team that comes from the massive AAA company that is Nexon.
Honestly, that just makes it even cooler

A good, solid, heeeefty Ghoul run. I love it. With revenge AND relic? Oh yeah!! This run is destined for success, I can feel it. I do hope you eventually find room for 2 Arms or a bit of Courage though or, as I just saw from Yggdrasil, some of these fights are gonna be as _long_ as Ghoul is *wide*

Revenge is one of my favorite inscriptions to pair with my power boy runs. Had a Minotaur run with over 600 hp, revenge won me that run.
Ghoul plus Relic and Revenge is quite possibly the most fun run I ever had in all the time I've played Skul

He chews, he hits, he shits (out a cloud)! The power of Ghoul at its finest - ridiculous levels of survivability at every turn! Not even the ass-pull of rare skills on each boss could stop him - although the Dark Hero was a considerable threat (MC privileges)!
Nice movie this time around, but I'll admit that I dread the next Shield skull run when it arrives.. Even Harry Potter'll have nothing on the length of that film!

Shield Skull and Pike will always be my comfort skulls(so long as I have the right abilities) but yeah Shieldy is really bad at Yggy in the early game lmao
it's funny how dark priest robe was here for him to replace that stupid quart, and free up relic too, but he refuses and then have to destroy fortress for hope slasher, truly one of Beelz moment

I struggled so hard to get through hard mode 8 to ten but never got it and then I did a ghoul run with revenge and antique and got it first try even 9 and 10 it was so easy even with almost full hp so for everyone struggling ghoul is definitely the way
Ghoul and Act 1 Reaper are my go to for easy and fun runs. They just get so powerful and safe
My two safest runs both came from act 1 reaper, one I threw trying to get Lou when I had death, lost my revive and that ended up costing me in the dad fight. The run back with the second reaper I was way more cautious and got my first win.

So what is the no skill cheese run character or build? I think I could get from level 2 to level 10 with 200h of playing, but time is limited, and I just want to cheese it :(
Easiest characters by far are Shield and Ghoul. Shield is extremely defensive and takes less dmg to begin with. Ghoul (as seen here) is also pretty defensive but doesn't have the raw baked in stuff Shield does. He does have more damage and a heal (with requirements).
Both preferably want good defensive items and prioritize Antique and Fortress. In normal mode Shield can literally afk the final boss fight if he has the right set up. It becomes very easy.
What k dont remember its if revenge healing is affected by the healing dark ability, but i always use both when playing as Ghoul

Okay, so i have a learnin question for you. Since ghoul wants to get hit, relic wants you to heal, and the piety thing increases with healin and massively amps your damage, and you also had the reckless posture, my genuine question is why are you dodging so much? You stayed above 300 for pretty much all of the dark skull fight, but you weren't really taking hits like it *feels* from an observer perspective, like the build is meant to. Revenge wants you to get hit, and reduces what you take for getting hit, same for reckless posture and piety because of root. Does it measure out to be not worth it, is there a diff strategy, or is it mere habbit from much squishier skulls and builds?
Genuinely meant to be a learning question, and i Understand if you're too busy to answer, jsut wanted to ask cause i was confused. (maybe a bit frustrated, maybe a bit salt at da beelz, but only in a playful way)
It's a good question. Half of it is instinct. The vast majority of skulls actively don't want to get hit so it's habit to dodge. But the other half of the answer is to try and find a comfy balance between whether I need to get hit or not and whether it's justifiable damage.
So Ghoul gets bigger as he gets meat chunks and does more damage when he has more. Capping at 30. So it's advantageous to your total damage output to keep those 30 chunks as long as you can. He also heals more of his grey life depending on how many chunks you have. It's good practice to wait until you're at 30, or consume what you have before entering a non-combat room to recover anything missing.
When you consume, you heal, but lose your damage stacks. You do get some dps compensation with the green cloud. It deals good damage but against some bosses and enemies like the Sisters, Dark Skul, Dad and 1st phase Alex, it can be hard to lock them down adn have them stand in it.
Against Yggdrasil, Chimaera, Joan, 2nd Phase Alex and old man Alex they stand still more so the cloud gets to do more damage.
Revenge and Relic make up for any damage taken by a lot. Just by having those alone I *should* have let myself be hit on purpose more often. But that's once again just habit kicking in. But there's been times in the past where you heal a healthy chunk of HP and before you now it, you're back down on low life but have only recovered 10 chunks. You gotta make sure you can build that 30 back up pretty quick.
In this run inparticular with Revenge and Relic I didn't need to be too careful like I was. But I'm too used to damage focused builds or ones that don't have the retaliation of Revenge.
It's a good question though and you're pretty much correct. I think Dad was the biggest threat (and maybe robot Alex) because he has piercing on his damage and can do HUGE chunks all at once. So dodging where you can is fine because there's plenty of times when you can't anyway lol.

Shield skull is a good alternative. Other than that it's practice and more practice.

I have not played since before the skulls rework, because the game was getting old for me and decided to wait for hard mode then my laptop broke, and seeing "Ghoul" and "S tier" in the same sentence still feels odd to me despite watching several videos of the updates
Ghoul and Warrior are both easy S tiers. Water as well. A lot of older skulls that used to be bad are quite good now. Some are still ''eh'' like Minotaur. Some are still poopoo like Gargoyle. Oh and Ent has the capacity to be the strongest in the game by far. Limitless.
Wonder how that ghooool fits into that cannon......

they can work you just have to find a healthy balance and preferably don't use 1 magic and 1 phys skull. For example I think using Water and Minotaur is much harder than a Hybrid Clown run.

my favourite ghoul build is stacking attack speed and tank stats so I get all my flesh chunks back so fast that it's impossible for the enemy to kill be before I can just heal all the damage again. (fun fact, the only condition for ghoul's gray health to start decaying is not taking damage, so if you just keep getting hit you can always heal back to full.)

Ghoul is surprisingly well equipped to take on Dark Skul. His moves have a ton of utility, especially his grappling hook.

It's funny. You can tell when a Skull isn't all about dealing damage to be the most effective. Because they take *ages* to win with video-length wise.
Here's hoping for a Berserker run, going all ham with the Heart of the Ascetic.

Ghoul himself can hit like a train if you give him a damage build and he still gets ho heal. It's just a liiiiittle more risky.

These days with the new items, not sure. But Clone Clone helps a lot with that. Without any funny business 4 I'd say. With Clone Clone and taking advantage of the smaller inscriptions that only require 3 to max out you can fit a few more.

Void Beelz as in voidghost? I've taken a look and it appears to just be something with your account. If you can still send messages and interact in other servers I can take another look. But chances are it's your 2FA wanting you to verify either because of unusual circumstances or its routine. If you can still log onto your account just fine you could always change the phone that's associated and get a new code that way. Or use a Virtual Phone number (never used one but they exist).
Easiest step would be to contact Discord support. You've spoken a bunch before so it's weird it would do this to you now. They can probably help if all else fails.
