Quickly explaining metal box. It say each adventure you slay and in hard mode instead of you facing 1-2-3-1 adventures you face 2-3-4-1 because of the buffing adventurer
Yup. I was just gonna say, the exhausted backline adventurer you one shot after the main fight also counts for powering up Medal Box. If I recall correctly, it may even possible to leave that one alive and just exit the room, and thus get the 'normal' amount added to Medal Box by ignoring the bonus adventurer.
A thousand prayers have been answered by Beelz, the return of the Predator, whose legendary form is a Necron Destroyer with two Hyperphase Swords and you can't tell me otherwise.......
40:25 I think magical has better Go-Getter items while physical has better stat boosters. Also feels like physical is a bit more top heavy in comparison outside of the axes
I actually think defensive items are the strongest ones in the game, but if I had to chose between physical and magical, yeah, there's gunpowder sword, kirion, the cudgel, the power axes and, most importantly, the wheel.
Love to see Predator! He still feels pretty good even now, glad to see you playing him. I had a really broken run with him where it was as much cooldown and skill casting speed as possible that he could cast so quickly and still dodge away, so I think he's in a pretty good spot (double dash feels really good to have too)
Just a run idea: Going with the new skulls with all her items(the ones who come along when you pick the skull for the frist time on that specific room).
I don't know if physical has better items in general, but I know the Cudgel is probably one of the top 3 items in the game. The fact that it's retroactive just makes it much better.
I think Cudgel is the only retroactive item because it's legendary. Besides legendaries just being more powerful, you're less likely to find them early in the run. However, I would like to see the retroactive treatment for Necro at the very least. 500 is nearly impossible to finish unless you get it in act 1 or early act 2. It's especially rough if your skills kill the enemies in one hit, preventing you from collecting 3 pages per enemy.
They should have made Arthur's legendary be the sword in the Stone like the cudgel but magic, and when you finish the missions it evolves into the Sword Of Miths
One thing I’ve noticed is that the devs reworked predators original passive of increasing skill casting speed to make it usable in boss fights. I love the southpaw devs ❤. Pog Skul
Medal box is counting correctly. It went up to 2 when you killed the 2 hero's in the boss fight, then went up by 1 when you finished off the hero that was helping outside the fight. So you killed 3 heroes. Nice vid Beelz, thanks again.
In my experience, it doesn't matter which stat you build towards, the item you want will always not be around. But it does seem like physical has an easier time building for straight damage, yes. Clown run sometime?
Beelz, Medal box is counting correctly. The backup adventurers who cast the support spells count for Medal box kills when you finish them off. It makes the item objectively better in Dark mirror, since you can now fully stack it even if you don't get it before the first adventurer fight.
I've had a predator run with double chosen adventurers circlets, on an already pretty tanky build, on DM10, and was able to facetank everything past joan, even dark skul.
This says to me he needs a minor buff. Something like if you get hit during an attack animation he gains life steal on the attack? Something so you can play into that locked animation weakness.
And there's a precedent with Ghoul, to show that there's ways to make that happen without it being game-breaking. But i-frames are another good solution, which also has skulls showing that it works without being too broken. Though for Predator I'd say they should make it invulnerable for like the last half of every skill, not the full thing because this boy can spam.
Fun fact: if you dash twice mid air, then swap, your dash cooldown refreshes so you can dash again immediately. Niche, but useful on dark hero and dark skul
I really like predator Also I messed around with ghoul and the best way to explain him is that he's one of those joke game weapons that are surprising effective and by that I mean ghoul looks incredibly goofy but once you give him the right items he then becomes a wrecking ball of destruction
for me revenge has to be the best inscription in the game like you only take a quarter of damage effectively, the only downside is that many items with revenge are kinda bad
you are the sole reason i got the game a few weeks back and upgrading the skulls was so fun to see what they changed into and i genuinly started geeking when i upgraded predator bc its just a full on warhammer referance and ive been hyperfixated on warhammer for the better part of a year now
Hey Beelz, I'm happy to share that I've finally beaten DM10 and I want to say thank you. Ironically, even though last time when I asked for tips you advised me to go for a defensive build, I won with an Ice build that you've been kind of downplaying in your recent videos (which I acknowledge is valid opinion I just got really lucky with the items). But this win wouldn't be possible have I not been watching your Skul videos since DLC dropped and learned a lot about how to dodge, prioritize more threatening enemies, and how to choose my dark abilities. So, once again, thank you! Regarding whether physical or magic items are better, I feel like they were more balanced before the DLC. While physical items can be triggered more easily (e.g. Hope Slasher can build itself up to 120% damage boost while Nether Mana Suppressor needs skill cooldown speed from other means to get to 120% damage boost, and sometimes that can be a little tricky if you're using a non-balance magic skull; Forbidden Sword is easier to trigger than Demonomicon; Medal box is easier to build than Stone of the heir), magic items have better inscryption synergy (Nether Mana Suppressor and Ritual Staff are both artifact/wisdom, while Hope Slasher is the only arm/courage; Forbidden sword is arm/rapidity and Demonomicon is -necormancy- artifact/mana cycle, but rapidity isn't suitable for every physical skull, while mana cycle is almost always good for every magical skull; Manatech staff works well with its own manatch inscryption, while Rear blast doesn't necessarily work well with its manatech inscryption). After the DLC, however, you can see the devs tried to break the physical/normal attack and magical/skill stereotypes by introducing physical skulls focusing on skills (though there are already many physical skulls that focus on skills) and magical skulls focusing on normal attack. But the new magic items are somewhat underwhelming compared to the new physical items. As you've pointed out the Cudgel is way better of an universal physical item while King Arthur's sword is kinda meh. The awkward thing with King Arthur's sword is that there is really only one magical normal attacker, and that skull is legendary (arguably maybe water skull or gargoyle is also magic basic attacker, but water skull would like to have some skill cooldown speed for its lake skill, whereas King Arthur doesn't really care that much about skill cooldown speed, and I don't play enough Gargoyle to comment on it (just go Soar lol)). This means that the current state of legendary item balance is that physical items have two really good legendary courage items, while magic items have only one good legendary wisdom item, with three other mediocre ones (Lou, King Arthur's Sword, Joan's Bible). Hence I believe that the power difference between physical items and magic items are now no longer negligible, with physical items coming out on top. Just my thoughts on the whim, there are probably many items I didn't put into my consideration. tl;dr: I think physical and magic items are roughly as strong as each other before DLC, and that physical items are now better after DLC. And thank you Beelz for helping me to get my first DM10 win.
My only Predator run recently was a Forbidden Mirror 10 Sin run where I ran him with a magic Build as a partner to Gravedigger. Probably one of the strongest runs I've ever lucked into, admittedly. The Damage reduction on each final cast is a bit nutty. Sin is weird, 90% of my runs I don't want it, but if I'm ever running a skull that does mixed damage it becomes infinitely more tempting. I just wish the druid showed up earlier in runs :/ As for damage types, I tend to have more fun with magic builds than physical, unless I'm running Pike or King. That said, that's more of a skull feel than an item feel. Physical has the better feeling items with stuff like Kirion, gunpowder sword, wheel, Cudgel, etc. All-in all though I think the balance between item categories is pretty decent.
For the hands, I found that King Slayer works, so long as it gets low enough, even if it is healed above the threshold, King Slayer will proc and destroy the hand no matter what, which is one way to speed up the fight.
The most accurate way I can describe Predator, is despite his awesome offense, his defense is lacking due to being wide open. Just like a Dempsey Roll.
I'd say that the fact that Physical gets better items is balanced out by the fact that magic skulls are typically better. They generally get more unique effects to their skills, passives and swaps as opposed to most physical skulls, so they already have some utility baked in. Take Frost Skull's invulnerability, how many magic skulls get a lot of AoEs in general, so on so forth. Even the Gargoyle skull mentioned after your question kinda has it's own niche as an airborne fighter who likes to fight at range and stay in airtime as much as possible. I guess there's also the philosophy behind each of them, that being the physical boys usually wanna be up close in the fight and the magic boys typically wanna spam skills and stay a bit further away. Which is where in theory Nether Mana Suppressor is supposed to shine since it feeds into having a lot of cool down to spam those skills.
Physical items vs. Magical items comes down to things like: Forbidden Sword vs. Prohibited Book, Arms slashes vs. Artifact meteors, and Masterpiece vs. Oberon (and at this point I'm laughing) and so on. Essentially, magic has more flashy effect stuff and is _technically_ more versatile because its mostly long range, but physical tends to have much more straightforward potency and spam. So for me, Mr. Unga B. McSmashface, it's no contest.
So Medal box is counting correctly. At that point while you fought 2 heroes you beat 3 when you finished off the 3rd one casting support magic. Hard mode effectively made medal box better by adding an additional hero to each fight except the last one.
On the item thing i would say the best item in the game is the double sun and moon omen and its not even close second place the olive tree cudule and in a close third we have the ring
Nono, you were correct, its blessedplate. xD Fr tho, I think it stacks with the swap shield in a way that the swap shield protects the shield from the breastplate, resulting in a lot of damage mitigation.
Honestly Olive Tree Cudgel reaches broken status with the damage reduction and damage amp alone. It has courage but those stats plus the 80 life ( is basically 96 effective health with damage reduction) can be put to good use on magic bois.
I do like Predator but I do find it necessary to cover up his vulnerability during skill usage. That's a problem I used to have with him even in normal mode. I find that Architect's Breastplate does wonders for that, along with a nice Fortress/Courage build. But something like Antique or Revenge might work too. But yeah he does need _somethin,_ at least for me, or he's bumpin on the verge of death by Act 3. Cheers Edit: Also, he pairs great with the Shield Skull. They cover the others' shortfalls really well.
Yeah I got multiple wins on DM 10 with various skulls but I don't know if I ever won even on normal with Predator as my primary skull and not just a quick swap when it was safe to use. Fun but so dangerous.
So overall i think magic has better all rounder items such as the staff, and in general is usually easier to find magic items. But, physical, as you states have more legendaries, and better damage scaling. I think the reason this is is because magic skulls rely more heavily on range, and big aoe. Whilst physical skulls are usually more close up and usually more single esc targeting. The items need to match there needs, I think they are pretty even. But honestly physical skulls are more fun to me, so i agree.
I think predator is an S tier or at least High A tier skull, if and ONLY if you have the weakling dark curse. While it makes your basic attacks pretty much unusable, his abilities come out much fast which increases his survivability a ton along with hid damage. All if this is increased even further by getting 3 in manatech
When you do the sheild buy run make sure you have the new spear item to start with. I have a feeling it will be nice. And it's always bugged me that he never had a weapon. And the spear fixes that.. makes it hurt my brain less 😅
I got him today, managed to build him with 4 relic and 4 revenge, the game was not happy about the fact nothing can kill you with that amount of regen...
beelz, He's that guy who likes to attack my anxiety when he had 2 opportunities in the last shopping before Joan (53:40) to get the bones that were missing for the last pillar (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH come on man, I'm dying!!!)
Living armor should get Arson. Look me in the eyes and tell me honestly that a burning suit of armor that hits people with flames does'nt inflict burn.
The predator skull along with the legendary alchemist helped me with getting to the dark Knight super close to beating him.. it's just his life steal move fucked me over
I have to attest to Beelz defensive strategy. Been stuck on level 6 forever, even had some good luck with early legendaries and items..still got bullied. But soon as I decided to take shield boy and do a defensive build, instant win. Might have to rely on him to get me all the way through 10.
With predator, unless I plan to use his swap effect, I tend to leave him unique cause the extra flourish from all his moves costs me more health than it's worth. Also the amount of life I lose starting a fight with whirlwind just for him to turn purple and be brawler is nuts.. but give him things like gunpowder or THE INVISIBLE KNIFE which you casually threw away in act 1 that not only gives you 10% crit chance but does damage comparable to gunpowder.. what was the point I was making?
i'm one of the new players who got this on ps+. i took gargoyle to legendary just to test it. it's only redeeming quality was multiple mid air attacks, which i combined with Jenny's Chain Sickle on that dang flying witch. the skills were butt crust.
Another silent cries video- i mean another skul video, great... Still waiting for that magic Clown again tho. Edit: 2:51 you actually found herc and his club on the same shop
I'm a casual Gargoyle fan, when you do his run dont even worry about DM10, just do a normal run and do some wild funny stuff. I think he really just has fun hovering slightly above people and spamming abilities. If nothing else it will be less painful for you. Im also terribly excited for Living Armor and Rider. You're the best Beelz! Thanks for tthe conttent. You make my mornings so much more fun. PS you've gotten so much more sassy than when you originally started and Im 100% here for it. You be You you sexy sumbitch!
whos going to be the skull that brings 2 spoils to the end you are going to show off all the upgraded inscriptions, right beelz? right? beelz? right? beelz? BEELZ WHERES THE INSCRIPTIONS BEELZ
I just had the most insane rigged run, I rigged the omen and one of the treasure items for this run, so I could get two boosts to every inscription I got, just to see how insane it got. I then proceeded to encounter like 20 legendary items, including 3 different demon swords of the end, which I never ended up grabbing.
Hey Beelz! I just wanted to say that this run was amazing! As well as ask if you to tell everyone in the server a merry Christmas from me (it’s early I know but I don’t know when your next episode will be so I’m saying it now, hope your good and keeping healthy! Wish I could talk to you guys on Discord but you know… shit happens I guess 😅
If you could, could you perhaps ask Ghosty and the others (including yourself) to accept my friend requests? Then I would at least be able to dm you guys and tell you happy birthdays and stuff
It would be interesting to see a clone clone/collection desire/4 treasure run to see how high the damage gets and how many inscriptions you could max. Might require some rigging but
To answer you about killing both hands of the mech at the same time: Don't. It is possible, but you softlock yourself. The animation of the hand healing itself needs to happen to continue the battle. Killing both hands at the same time skips this animation, and by extension, softlocks the game.
Oh so does that earthquake make cudgel another offensive item you can use with a slime run like the generator, mana bone, mage necklace and mage legendary? I've seen you use it in other videos but never really paid much attention to the earthquake on skill part. Having all of them would be pretty sick. Though I guess the odds for getting them all in a not rigged run would be almost impossible.
yeah I do agree physical builds are just insane the amount of items you get for pure strength are insanely good we don't have much for magic that can rival it ritual staff is crazy good since it has both wisdom and artifact, nether mana supressor is also disgusting, stone of the heir can be good if you get it before chimera, the voodoo doll is just meh as well as arch bishop's scriptures so in the end magic isn't that impressive as physical
I just barely beat base game with werewolf and berserker. Now ive been trying to do dm 0. And im just making stupid mistakes all around. I get to like adventurer fight 3 and then my run ends there.
I'm personally a big fan of Predator but I feel like his skill spam leaves him way too vulnerable, especially in hard mode and if you're like me (bad at the game and stuck on DM 2) it's just a quick and easy way to be escorted by Reaper and gravey to the great beyond
just thought of something : a run with the forbidden sword + the omen sword and a lot of attack speed did you already tried that Beelz ? Or can it be the next run ?
“It’s a good day to be a predator” - Beelz (supposedly not the creepy guy that hangs out down by the park) 2023
Because if its the creepy guy that hangs down by the park, call police
Quickly explaining metal box. It say each adventure you slay and in hard mode instead of you facing 1-2-3-1 adventures you face 2-3-4-1 because of the buffing adventurer
Yup. I was just gonna say, the exhausted backline adventurer you one shot after the main fight also counts for powering up Medal Box.
If I recall correctly, it may even possible to leave that one alive and just exit the room, and thus get the 'normal' amount added to Medal Box by ignoring the bonus adventurer.
Is the extra adventure the one who stands in the back, so the one who isnt hittable in the fight unlike the others?
@vielefische8321 yep the one that buffs is killed after bit is still killed so it counts
A thousand prayers have been answered by Beelz, the return of the Predator, whose legendary form is a Necron Destroyer with two Hyperphase Swords and you can't tell me otherwise.......

That remnants of a saint design looks like there should be a number of bones that let you update your skull from common to legendary
In my experience, it doesn't matter which stat you build towards, the item you want will always not be around. But it does seem like physical has an easier time building for straight damage, yes.

damn, that poor act 1 adventurer didn't even get to move.
Man, I feel like beelz just has the power to will things into existence.
Hey Beelz, I'm happy to share that I've finally beaten DM10 and I want to say thank you. Sadly, i would have to inform you that the priest staff does NOT scale from max HP anymore, it heals a flat 3 hp now, it got nerfed
Truuuuuueeee that happened ages ago. Makes it slightly worse, but still a decent take if you have room (especially in a piety Ghoul build)

as beelz once said,"just me being beels, missing things as i do",he said that at 5:09
Predator decides after seeing all the runs you had wanted a swing at veing busted.............nice.
Also hi beelz
Now that I think of, alien and predator skuls would be awesome, great vid Beelz!

It is incredibly difficult to hit Predator if you’re already dead
beelz, He's that guy who likes to attack my anxiety when he had 2 opportunities in the last shopping before Joan (53:40) to get the bones that were missing for the last pillar (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH come on man, I'm dying!!!)
I know that misfortune is one of the "meh" inscriptions, but get it to 4, with the crown of thorns, gunpowder sword, and troll.
Just... try it.
I hurt inside every time we lose Pain & Despair. It's my favorite item.
predator still being the strongest skull as usual lol, i'm glad he's getting a spotlight in the update
Living armor should get Arson. Look me in the eyes and tell me honestly that a burning suit of armor that hits people with flames does'nt inflict burn.
2:23
IS THAT THE HEAD OF THE ASCETIC!?!?!?
The predator skull along with the legendary alchemist helped me with getting to the dark Knight super close to beating him.. it's just his life steal move fucked me over
I have to attest to Beelz defensive strategy. Been stuck on level 6 forever, even had some good luck with early legendaries and items..still got bullied. But soon as I decided to take shield boy and do a defensive build, instant win. Might have to rely on him to get me all the way through 10.
Shield and Ghoul. They're both stupidly consistent.
I believe this is the first time I've seen legendary Predator
With predator, unless I plan to use his swap effect, I tend to leave him unique cause the extra flourish from all his moves costs me more health than it's worth. Also the amount of life I lose starting a fight with whirlwind just for him to turn purple and be brawler is nuts.. but give him things like gunpowder or THE INVISIBLE KNIFE which you casually threw away in act 1 that not only gives you 10% crit chance but does damage comparable to gunpowder.. what was the point I was making?
thanks for brining my faith back to my fave skull ever
i'm one of the new players who got this on ps+. i took gargoyle to legendary just to test it. it's only redeeming quality was multiple mid air attacks, which i combined with Jenny's Chain Sickle on that dang flying witch. the skills were butt crust.
Another silent cries video- i mean another skul video, great... Still waiting for that magic Clown again tho.
Edit: 2:51 you actually found herc and his club on the same shop
support hero counts as hero kills with the box
I'm a casual Gargoyle fan, when you do his run dont even worry about DM10, just do a normal run and do some wild funny stuff. I think he really just has fun hovering slightly above people and spamming abilities. If nothing else it will be less painful for you.
Im also terribly excited for Living Armor and Rider. You're the best Beelz! Thanks for tthe conttent. You make my mornings so much more fun.
PS you've gotten so much more sassy than when you originally started and Im 100% here for it. You be You you sexy sumbitch!
Rider coming soon
whos going to be the skull that brings 2 spoils to the end
you are going to show off all the upgraded inscriptions, right beelz? right? beelz? right?
beelz?
BEELZ
WHERES THE INSCRIPTIONS BEELZ
Next vid is already uploaded and will release tomorrow. You'll see spoils.

ok excellent
What's your tag
@@poomonyoutube1607 _voidghost_ but I can just find you and send a friend request so don't worry!
It would be interesting to see a clone clone/collection desire/4 treasure run to see how high the damage gets and how many inscriptions you could max.
Might require some rigging but
Unfortunately clone clone doesn't exist in the game anymore. Not sure if they plan to add it again.
“It’s a good day to be a predator” - Beelz
Honestly when I saw Medal box at 14:31 I pogged IRL.
51:55 dracula flow
Still waiting for that masterpiece run. Wanna see the upgraded inscription at the end
Sword run was a Masterpiece run and shows what it has at the end
Predator casually being the best skull as usual
This is the easiest skul kill you've posted so far
My favorite skulls combo done justice by rng.
To answer you about killing both hands of the mech at the same time:
Don't.
It is possible, but you softlock yourself. The animation of the hand healing itself needs to happen to continue the battle. Killing both hands at the same time skips this animation, and by extension, softlocks the game.
that's hilarious
Beeeellllzzzz do samurai🗣️
Nice vid Beelz! Now…. How about some Minotaur next maybe?
And here i am i cant even go past the 4th map
Physical has better items but magical has better skulls. So it balances out
Predator is a very strong predator, but when predator doing predator stuff, the STIFF you feel was not very predator.
Its beautifully insane
Oh so does that earthquake make cudgel another offensive item you can use with a slime run like the generator, mana bone, mage necklace and mage legendary? I've seen you use it in other videos but never really paid much attention to the earthquake on skill part. Having all of them would be pretty sick. Though I guess the odds for getting them all in a not rigged run would be almost impossible.
damn i really miss your streams
predator was more of berserker than even berserker himself xD
I just watched your old predator run
yeah I do agree physical builds are just insane the amount of items you get for pure strength are insanely good we don't have much for magic that can rival it ritual staff is crazy good since it has both wisdom and artifact, nether mana supressor is also disgusting, stone of the heir can be good if you get it before chimera, the voodoo doll is just meh as well as arch bishop's scriptures so in the end magic isn't that impressive as physical
I just barely beat base game with werewolf and berserker. Now ive been trying to do dm 0. And im just making stupid mistakes all around. I get to like adventurer fight 3 and then my run ends there.
I'm personally a big fan of Predator but I feel like his skill spam leaves him way too vulnerable, especially in hard mode and if you're like me (bad at the game and stuck on DM 2) it's just a quick and easy way to be escorted by Reaper and gravey to the great beyond
update: I've managed to make it to DM 7 since posting this comment
Predator spin. Therefore Predator win
Yey you put in treasure after all :)
LETS GOOOO! Love me some predator, so excited!
just thought of something : a run with the forbidden sword + the omen sword and a lot of attack speed did you already tried that Beelz ? Or can it be the next run ?
