Thanks a lot for the video footage. We are about to go camping for our first camping trip in our camper. Very similar to your camper and we’ve been worried about this. Running out of propane. I watched a video recently on hooking up a g camera. The video footage was amazing. I’m thinking you must’ve had two cameras going and you edited really really, great job on the video
Wow this is fantastic! We have always wondered what kind of products are out there for LP tanks. It’s nice having that piece of mind on the road knowing your levels! We are full time RV travel Nurses. We also just started an RV Channel!! You have our support, we will be checking out more of your content 😃 #Subscribed
Knock on wood - we've not run out while out "in the wild" yet! Came close once, but I saw on the app that we were running low, so we didn't get caught. I don't see how long-timers like you guys could live without something like this. 🤷🏼♂️
Love the video on the propane. Nice job! I didn’t know they a gage for the propane tanks. That’s very nice they do. I did not about the app either. Thank you so much for the information. I appreciate it. Stay safe.
Never heard of such a thing! Thanks for sharing.....we're teardrop campers and use propane for cooking, grilling, and for our portable firepit, and it will be nice to know where I am on propane. Also will be useful to monitor how much LP is being used for these products by comparing before/after.
As to how "rough" the roads we travel actually are, I wouldn't know what reference you'd use to define a rough ride, but we do still have them, we do still rely on them, and we've never lost one! Change the batteries about once every 10 - 12 months and they're as good as new.
Yes!! They're designed to remain in place long-term. The magnets on the sensor's body are pretty darn strong, and besides, the sensor affixes to the underside of the propane tank, so it really couldn't "escape" from the tray on which the tanks sit. The only way you'll lose one of these is if you misplace it when you remove it to change batteries or something.
@@LiveNLearnRV Thank you! Very helpful, I think I will get one. We are new to RV'ing and we have a small camper with only 1 propane tank so it's important to know where we are. Take care!
Trust me, dude - the water pouring thing may be cheaper, but it's a lot more work. Spend the money on the sensor kit and think about all those rainy or cold morning you won't be out there checking your tanks.
It seems like we get 10 to 12 months out of fresh batteries, and we've never let them run totally dead - always change batteries while they're still a little juiced.
@@LiveNLearnRV thx I'm not tech savvy..I don't know bbluetooth from a rotten tooth jk....we still have a landline lol....I love your channel so much. Thx again
Y'know, I toyed with the idea of one of those pass-through gauges, but I read just enough folks saying those things weren't terribly accurate that I couldn't make myself pull the trigger on that. This sensor has been a really pleasant find for us. Thanks for taking a look at the vid, bro!
These and the level mate pro always want to tempt me... but I apparently like more expensive crap... lol... I always see something else and am like... "look squirrel"
Admittedly, we don't go through propane anywhere near as fast as folks like you do, and even I have thanked the camping gods for this kit more than once! Sure, it's a hundred bucks, but ours are almost two years old, and never-not-once have I found myself thinking "gee, I wonder how much propane we have..." Money well-spent to me!
@@LiveNLearnRV My method is to leave one tank turned off so I always have 50% reserve. About the only time it might bite me in the rear is when I turn the fridge on the day before we leave. But if the furnace were to turn off in the middle of the night... while a little inconvenient, all I have to do is to go turn the other tank on. Then fill the empty one in the next couple days.
NOT QUALITY SIGNAL!!!! Please know what you are saying before you say it. QUALITY is 1-3 stars, it is the quality of the sonar impulse as to sensor attached position and dialectical connection. The other meter is signal strength.
Very interesting - yet again, you show me something I'd probably never have thought about. Thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure! That's the "learn" part of "Live 'n' Learn..." 😉
Great review with all the details to set it up and program it with your phone.
We can't imagine anybody who considers himself a serious RV'er NOT wanting to make use of these things. Thanks for watching!

Thanks so much!! We're glad you liked it! A camper's first trip is a special thing.- you'll learn so much that you had no clue you had to learn! 🤣
We never pulled a trailer before, so that’s going to be a real experience
@@rickmlamb1 Oh... are you in for a treat... 😉 We all go through it - you'll be fine!
@@LiveNLearnRV my wife drives a school bus I know it’s a lot different but she wants to pull the camper and I will learn from her and practicing

We usually find out when ours is empty, good video.

Thank you. I’m not a RVer but I do some grilling in the backyard. Your video helped me pull the trigger. Safe travels.
Awright! Thanks for letting me know! It's good to know I'm being of some help to more than just one audience. I'm glad you found it helpful!
Thanks for the video. I think I will put that on my list for upcoming improvements!
It’s been the best “mod” I’ve made so far! Everybody should get one of these kits!

Sounds like a great idea! Thanks for the info!
Glad to do it! Thank YOU for watching! 👍🏻
will have to check these out!
You oughtta!! 👍🏻 Thanks for watching!
I think we have a gauge on the tanks but I may need to invest in these at some point for the convenience. Thanks for the review!

I'm surprised this thing isn't more widely-known. Use the link in the video description and order the kit! You'll be glad you did!
Nice product review
Thank you! 😊 Glad you liked it!
SO after using it for a while. Do you still have them? I wonder if they will bounce off during driving on rough roads?

Thanks for the info! Question, can you leave this on while driving? I am worried I will forget to remove it before packing up and lose the sensor

I'm one of those water-down-the-side guys. You're right though, the unhooking tanks part is a pain. I'm looking into the Mopeka.

@@LiveNLearnRV Thanks! Is there a battery level indicator in the app?
Sure is - I showed it in the video.
What if you have NO service on cell phone when camping??
It’s Bluetooth - doesn’t require cell service to operate.

I went old school and put a pass through gauge. It does require me to go outside to check the level. Enjoying your close to home series Nice job.
