Hey man just ordered a pair of the ts308 on zzounds today. I'm going to use these for Ceremonies and cocktail hour. I'm trusting your recommendation.
they work awesome just nothing fancy like Bluetooth or Apps but they sound great.
any updates on the 308's
@@DjBriteEyes man they are pretty awesome. I used them for the cocktail hour at a party on Saturday and they worked perfect. I set them up real high over the crowd running a jazz mix from an ipod and used the alto stealth to run sound to the second speaker.

Nice video review, I purchased an Alto TS308 with a gator 8" speaker bag as a backup speaker/Surround speaker if needed in a bigger venue if needed. Once I received the Alto TS308 I was very impressed with the sound this little speaker puts out. It's small enough to bring to every gig as a back up, and I would feel confident if anything happened to one of my mains this would definitely help me achieve a back up solution or an a extra sound solution in a bigger venue. Nice job keep up the great vids!

Do you think the 310 has enough base for a small house party (20 ppl) or do you think the 312 would offer a lot more. I have the 312 right now and the bass is enough but I'm thinking about going down to the 310 for size. Will I be losing a significant amount of power and that base feel or will it be similar.
The 12 and 15 will naturally have better bass response. I’ve had the 312 and it cranks.

Listening thru good phones (and I don't know what sort of mic or recording equipment you're using), I hear a difference between the 308's vs the 310's. It seems link the 308's are constrained a bit and don't have the clarity as the 310's, HOWEVER, I think I know the reason. In your test you're focusing on levels (db) and I think the 308's are being pushed too hard for the transients in the track you're playing (mostly kick and bass) and it's internal limiter is squashing down its output put to protect the speakers. I have a feeling if you lowered the volume on the 308 a bit you would have the same clarity as the 310. Your thoughts? PS - I just ordered 308's to try on medium size venues for vocals and my acoustic with band made up of medium drums, keys, bass band and moderate to lower volume.

How is the bass response of the 8" compared to the 10". I would have thought the 8" will be a little bass light.
Surprising that much of a difference but the eights have less throw due to the size of the speaker

Just bought the TS310 i love the sound, And punch it gives with the woofer. But i need it to be more compact, Looking to return it for a TS308. Will i be losing much power going down to 8"??

I use to own the QSC 10 inch they sound about the same plus the price you cant beat it not sure if you have subscribed but if not please do it would be appreciated!

Hey john ,should i get x2 8" to go with my 18 sub or x2 10" is there any difference i would prefer the smaller speakers but if i will get a better overall performance from x2 10" i will go for them?

Hi - Great videos. Thanks! Im in the market for 'club' sounding speakers, plenty of crisp base... I love what I see with these Alto's... but I also hear a lot about the Mackie Thumps... in your opinion would you go for the Alto TS315 or the Thump 15A? From what I hear on your vids the Altos sound awesome... Price isnt that much of an issue between the two for me - just the sound quality.. cheers = good work!
Glad you like them! I would go for the Alto's I owned Both at one time. The Altos had more of a crisp sound and great low end when EQ right plus the power ..

just bought 2 ts310's and i've noticed a loud hiss from both speakers. Are they supposed to hiss?

@@DjBriteEyes when i switch them on with no other cables connected there's a hiss which can be heard from about 6 feet away. also when i play music there's also a hiss. do yours his when switched on with no other cables attached?

Does the 10" have significantly more bass than the 8"?
8 less bass 15 more bass. It's the frequency. An 8 will kick faster where as a 15 will click slower. 8 inch for fast kicking music and a 15 for slower music like rnb
@@paulholla this is completely wrong. a 15 would have more bass and would sound much better than an 8 for fast kicking music as well

Try schumacher 1200 amp battery charger for a power source.. You will get more than twice the time of foxnova, but it weighs almost 30 pounds.

@@DjBriteEyes What is the Bluetooth receiver called you plugged into the PA speaker to make it Bluetooth capable? If that is not what it is what Bluetooth receiver that goes into a PA do you recommend. Right now I have a cheap one and when I use the remote to the projector it interferes thus cannot use it. Will all Bluetooth jacks put into Speakers interfere?

Bluetooth is compressed, worse sound than straight cable.

Yeah agree, if you took it closer to the max gain then the TS310 will be louder and compress less in the bass for sure over the TS308.

@@DjBriteEyes Yep they seem to be. I'm coming from a pair of Yorkville Parasource PS12P over the last 2 years I only use them and with the PS15S sub. With a band outdoors it was better than anything I've used in the past, way better. I'm actually thinking of buying 4 of the TS310 or 2 of TS315 and using them with the PS15S sub since I want a big sound that fit in my car to travel. Seems like 2 of the TS315 is still close and with lower bass than the 4 TS310. You gain 10db when doubling speaker output if I remember correctly so 141db continuous with 2 x 15" and 146db continuous with 4x10" given the specs listed on Alto website. The Yorkville stuff is all rental and while its really good its adding up to rent each time. So time to own at least the fronts, mixer and mics. I'll continue to rent the sub.

JBL eon series is not great lol. They don’t suck but theyre expensive for no reason. Not much bass but clear highs and mids. I stick to my Cerwin vega CVE 10 which has more bass than a K10.
