I don't have that much patience, and I don't have that much time, but this game really deserved my time and effort...they did a fantastic job. I love DS III as well, and hope FROM can keep it up!

@sirmpahu2222 nah I'm just explaining to him why he finds non summon bosses harder. The boss turning its back to you and agroing the summon let's you heal, it's a huge advantage
Tips for anyone struggling and don't want to cheese this: You're going to need patience and to know how to time your dodges. Whenever he runs at you and attacks, simply dodge away to the side and then back up, don't bother attacking, you'll likely get hit with a follow up. Stay at medium range and wait for his fireball move. Dodge through it and dodge through his follow up fireballs till you're in his face. Whack him once and immediatelyy roll back. Rinse and repeat for the first phase. The lightning phase is similar. Dodge all his attacks especially the AOE's. He has a lightning move that he charges up then shoots into the air - work out your dodge timing (it's just as he lifts his arm up suddenly) and do the same as the fireballs. Run at him, roll to dodge, get in his face, 1 attack, roll back. Continue to do the same with the fireballs and chip away at his health PATIENTLY. I also found using Hoarfrost stomp when he uses some of his slower attacks whittles his health away nicely too - just be careful when you use it, seek the opportunity. Took me about 6-7 mins to take him down, but worth it.
I have a lightning build and lightning spear ( charged or not ) many times goes through with no damage done. Poor ai, and since I cannot one-shot him with ADLS, like I could with that Placidusax dragon, this cheese seems fair. This guy is terrible for a castter and you cannot use a summon.
@brandonman1315 as someinr who is on ng+25 or 26 and has played caster builds more times then melee builds i can assure u this isnt an easy fight once u master dodging lmao

I used to always cheese this guy, but now after practicing, he's nowhere near as hard as you people make him out to be. There's people who easy kill him at level 1 with no armor on. So yes, once you get good at dodging this fight becomes much easier.

oh yes, I have had this same cheese before with an earlier draconic tree sentinel. glad that the stop game reload trick works with it. a nice tiny consolation for the torturous fight that still awaits behind that fog gate.
the fact that the minibosses and even some normal enemies in this game are harder than some of the main bosses is just absurd. I've beat most bosses with just a few attempts yet it's minibosses like this that i seem to die everytime to.

Has too much health, can attack too quickly, does too much damage, you can even run away from his attacks he has lightning that strikes you wherever you are even running down the stairs back to the grace, punishes you for healing, has a wide area of attack, always facing you so you can’t sneak up after he de-aggros. Man I tried bloodhound step, dragon’s breath rot, bleed and while they got me close he just has too much health and you got to be perfect dodging too often for too long that eventually you will slip up and die. This video was perfect!!! Took me 20 minute but I laughed and rejoiced every second of the way!! Hahaah!! Take that stupid horse man who only wants to play cheap but there is always a cheaper fighter out there!!! He met his match with you bro!!!! 100/100!!

I just fought him on my 3rd playthrough as well, and I found my own way to beat him in less than 5 seconds. Comet Azure plus Cerulean Hidden Tear. Walk up to him just enough to where you can lock on to him.. Then drink the flask with the tear and fire the comet azure.. He has such a slow first reaction to being attacked for the first time, that by the time he starts trying to attack you back or come at you, the comet azure kills him. Comet Azure requires 70 Intelligence tho, so you need to invest on that.
The fact that we have to cheese mini bosses in this game is ridiculous. Then we get to the real boss and beat they ass first or second try’: not to mention the dumb ass bears . Bro everything thing fight in the game is harder than all the boss fights

Since there’s nothing fun about the end game (areas after Leyndell) I have no qualms with making the most of my time by deploying poison mist. Sooner he dies the sooner I can reunite with Ranni my boo.

I killed morgott on the first time and i'm still in this absurd boss fight( doesn't even count as one) like you can't mount torrent, you can't use summons you legit just die and( because i have no friends) can't call someone to help u. I used rebirth just to kill this man he is straight up ilegal

You can pass him with "unseen form" spell and just crouch behind him and then use the mist. Dont have to bother with exiting the game ;). Dont wear armor for silent movement too.

I used this cheese when level 60 heading to find the way to get river of blood. After I had river of blood with lv 160. Still die as hell. This tree is insanely tough😅

Legacy bosses let you use summons. Most elden ring players are naked without their mimic +10
Had to cheese him too. After destroying the godskin duo with ease I wasn't expecting a miniboss like that...
It's cause your so used to using a spirit summon +10 on every boss that you feel naked without it

Rivers of Blood is from way earlier in the game than this guy, and isn't even that good anymore as it got nerfed.
