This boss sure is Fun! I think my favorite part is when he jumps and does 6,000 flips into the air so you can't see what's going on & then he lands right on top of you killing you everytime!! His ranged attacks that travel at 5,000mph so that you can't even dodge them is totally awesome!!! This motion sickness simulator is tons of Fun!! The Tree Sentinel with the horse that shoots fireballs every 2 seconds right outside is super fun as well!!!

That tree sentinel has a punish heal. You use heal, he uses fireball.

Frostbite or bleed. Stay close range at all times and look out for stomps in phase 1, if he’s not stomping he’s readying a slam. Second phase is all about staying behind him and DPSing. Easy kill.

He might be weak to melee, but the problem is, he never stands still long enough for you to actually hit him, even if you've got someone else aggroing him. Every move he does seems to involve flipping away from you at 100mph while still somehow hitting you and landing on the other side of the arena from you. When he does approach you, it's with some unavoidable instant kill move that you can't even see to avoid. I just can't get near him at all.
yeah; he is quick as hell isn't he. I think the blasphemous claw parry opens him up to a lot of melee damage form you
You have to learn where he lands after the flip.and be one step ahead waiting for hom there
I don't have a problem with the first phase, but that second phase's AoE attack gets me every time

Maliketh in a nutshell:

He just doesn’t stop MOVING”
Very true. Very true indeed.
The main problem with this boss is that he doesn't gives you any chance to learn his moveset, since it is always oneshot in the beginnig. The moment you figure it out, the damage output is so insane that makes you fight with terror instead of excitement.
The only strategy i found usefull was to keep the distance, so that he gives you some breath, and so that you can see his moves clearly.

My friend (on NG 4) is playing through with me on my first play through. He warned me that there were 2 hard bosses in this area, Godskin Duo and Malekeith. I first-tried godskin duo and got cocky thinking malekeith was gonna be a piece of cake….

The Foreskin Duo literally isn't even that hard if you have a decent amount of vigor and skill. It's mostly magic-only users who struggle with them, and let's be honest magic users deserve it. Most of the bosses are weak AF to magic.

No, but what *is* happening to me is the tree sentinel staggers me through the mist and first thing maliketh does is sprint at me at supersonic speed and one-shots me ☺️
update: I beat him not too long after making this comment. I did end up having to prepare myself a little more by getting some more tears and sorceries, and I made sure to get rid of that tree sentinel before actually fighting maliketh, so that’s what I did and I got him in a few tries with a mimic tear and a well-timed comet azur 🙃

Haven’t beaten him yet but i’ve been using the ashes for Omenkiller Rollo +10 and he absolutely tanks Maliketh’s attacks. I’ve gotten him really low and my ashes were still at around half health when most of the aggro was on him.

I came so close to defeating him so many times but then he goes full on anime mode and destroys me in 1-2 hits probably one of the most badass looking boss but also one of the most infuriating one to keep dying to

Second phase is driving me up the wall.
I've probably attempted 20 times now. 1st phase, no problem. Second phase... I've lasted more than 10 seconds maybe once. lol.

@@Azzavhar Lol, I've leveled my sword up 5 levels (max), and now I can get him to a quarter health before being brutally felled. Only took me 20 more tries to get this far... lol.
I keep getting one or two slashes away. He always ends up getting me with some gimmicky move that’s impossible to dodge.

is that shield blocking his phase 2 attacks, or are you using the blasphemous claw.
I got the fingerprint shield and it doesn't block phase 2 attacks. Is the great shield talisman alloying you to block his phase 2 attacks?
I'm really struggling with this boss
I use a combination of shield blocking and the blasphemous claw. The claw has a special animation to it. Having a good shield can really help out in this game. Keep fighting on You got this.

You will miss 50% but if you hit him, you take quite a chunk of his HP..

I had already defeated this boss when I saw your video. Good info,btw. I used Black Knife Tiche +10 as my spirit summons. She basically wiped the floor with Maliketh. My job was to avoid his attacks and stay alive. 😅😅

Honestly if you know the attacks and can dodge well all you need to do is have a high level finger seal, use rotten breathe, and just dodge and wait.

beat him today as a pure mage and its near impossible to get a comet azur off on him. it took me like 15-20 tries i got lucky with the rolls fr and just hit him wit 2 or 3 glintstone shards when i could

Thanks for your video! Amazing fight there. Rotten Breath, Swarm of Flies and Mimic Tear did it for me. He's quite weak against blood loss as well. After dying about 100 times against Malenia and giving up on her (for now), I leveled so much that some boss fights like Maliketh or the Godskin Duo felt almost too easy. 😳

I’m on ng+5 going for my last ending and I literally can not get by him right now . He has always been tough but this has been like the very first play through when it took me like 5 days to beat him .

How do you get him to not full sprint while you walk through fog? I can't even summon or flask

I’m phase one he rushes at me and doesn’t give me time to spawn in any spirits. Once I do get to phase 2 he isn’t even on my screen half of the time so I can’t dodge or block because I can’t see what attack he’s gonna do.
He is insanely fast. If he sprints at you really fast at the start of the fight you could save and quit and reload back in. And retry. Sometimes he will be fast and sometimes slow (at the start).

Thanks my boy. The Crimsonburst tear and the Dragoncrest shield talisman were specially helpful. I recommend using a spear since it has more range against this mf. I used Moghwin’s spear. Being lvl 170 also helped.

maliketh 2nd phase is so fast and i got punished a lot for thinking that his chain of attacks ends, and then when i got my chance to attack he just jumps around, this boss could be harder than malenia if he has more health tbh.

One thing I dislike about my mimic is he delays with attacking making me too much of a target

I'm level 97 and have the bloodhound fang at level 10. Is this even doable or should i try something else like smashing my monitor?
You should be fine. If it's not working too well, you could always go grind out exp and then level up a lot and come back to it stronger than before.

I didn’t have the blasphemous claw but this only has a total of 10k hp which is pretty low for bosses this late in game, so I used my +10 bloodhound fang with bloodflame and gave my mimic tear same weapon and in first phase once my mimic got aggro I did 3 hard hits and one riposte and we were in phase 2
In phase 2 I did a couple bloodhound finesse on him early and got the riposte, then I left my mimic take aggro and I kept medium distance and used stone of guranq on him with claw mark seal since it’s adds 15% I think to its power and after a few hits while he’s engaged with my mimic he staggered and one riposte finished it
Bloodhound had over 700 power at this point in game since I believe I had 40 strength and 30 dex and clawmark seal sacked with strength and faith and I had 21 faith

I'm doing ng+ solo no summon I was doing fine until maliketh he is way harder than the first playthrough I tried like 20
Then I summon mimic tear in phase 2 to see and he killed my max level mimic tear in like 10s
So I activated godmod to practice his moves and I srill can't dodge them all and he give me no chance to hit him

@@Azzavhar yeah i beat the game a few days ago, i beat malekith cus i was panicking and spammed the blasphemous claw which parried him. Now im trying to beat malenia and its actually going pretty well. I get her down to like 25% health in the 2nd stage and im still below 50 attempts.
