A little late to the comment but I always appreciated how M. Shadows doesn't start singing right away each part of the chorus so we can have a little focus on Rev's vocals too
YEAH LITTLE PIECE WE PARADAE WHO FAIL LIFE IN THIS PLACE WE FUCKING TOGETHER NOT EARTH WE INSIDE TO PARADAES. WE ALWATS GREAT, WE GIVEN YOUALL WE GRACE WITH MONEY, LOVE, BODIES AND SOULS YOU YSED FOR SIN HELL Y;LL. WHO MISS GOD HERE NO ONE HELL Y;LL.
The lyrics of this song are an example of how well written all of their songs are. It is one reason they are one of my favorite bands. The Rev was surprisingly introspective and serious. His outward persona was almost opposite of that. I think a lot of people are like this, which is one reason this band is so popular and has such a great fan base. Along with the killer music of course.
This song broke all of us when Jimmy passed. Knowing he wrote the majority, foretelling his own future, their own future, everyone's really? It was devastating. It's still a hard song to listen to for me, but I never skip it. It's by far my favorite. I had been waiting foREVer it feels like to see you're reaction to it. This song did to you exactly what's it's meant to do, make you think. We have to seize the day because of just that, we don't know. I honestly felt bad seeing how emotional you were getting, but that's a great thing. It shows you have a loving, caring soul. I had the honor and privilege to share some drinks with them in March of the year that Rev passed in December. I can't speak for them, especially him, but I guarantee they all love the fact you feel the way you do. After Rev passed they did a tribute song for him called Saint James. It's a celebration of his life really, and I'm sure we'd all like to see youre reaction to that. Definitely put that on your to do list.
for real, I was ready to be a hater but her reactions are so good and most of all REAL. There are a lot of reactors, often times female ones who fake it for the viewers but not here.
Listening to Avenged means taking a trip back in time, bringing up emotions that will never fade in my life. The lyrics comfort my heart and bring an inner peace that solidifies in the face of the scars that I have accumulated from time to time. The Rev, the world misses you. Great react - I feel like you absorbed the song's message well.
Avenged Sevenfold is such an incredible band! Their lyrics are, quite often, true masterpiecies. I'd recommend "Buried Alive", by the "Nightmare" album. ❤
This song, especially the live version gives me chills EVERY TIME. It’s so hauntingly beautiful, and M Shadows has so much soul in his voice, you can really hear and feel the emotion
This live version just hits so much harder than the studio version, you can feel it more with their impromptu additions that you only get live. Great reaction and love to hear how their music affects others. The older I get the more and more this song hits home. Check out Time by Pink Floyd, that’ll give you an existential crisis as well
It's ok Ray, Seems like in teenage we dont really know how deep and real this song is, for now, olders, we can understanding this song in a different way, i feel the same. We are all together on this. See you on the next reaction 💕
It’s good to see reactions with emotion. I see so many singer reaction videos where they seem to focus only about how the vocals sound and not the message. Not the emotion of the song. So sometimes they go “ oh. Well it isn’t my style so it was bad “ you’re one of my new favorite reaction channels. I’ve seen avenged 14 times live and they never disappoint. I was fortunate enough to see them a few times before revs passing. The whole band are the biggest sweethearts you’ll ever meet
It's always fun to watch what people think when the listen to some of my favorite songs. In my opinion that's kind of a way to experience a song in a whole different way.
3:22 is spot on. This song and so far away are my childhood and i love them so much. The bitter part is that my friend who showed me a7x is dead and i always get goosebumps and that sort of bitter sweet feeling when i listen.
Having a friend group that used to be super into A7X back in high school this song brings back so many memories. Considering that was all some 14 or so years ago now and I'm almost 30 now this song hits so much harder than it used to.
This was one of the first songs I ever learned how to play on the electric guitar. I was a huge fan of the solo from Syn. I learned to play it about 12 years ago and it remains one of my top favorite songs to play. That said, the lyrics have always had a deep impact for me and especially now in my life really hit the feels. Thank you for doing this song and band such justice and showing real emotion, not just YT likes.
I usually get really emotional when I listen to some songs like that, but when I watched your react, I get into a new feeling about this song. It's like when you relate to someone that give the same value for something than you.
You picked a great version of this to listen to, besides the beginning 😂 love your reactions, you seem to feel every up and down and genuinely react to it.
@@katherinep708 I've been an a7x fan since jr high lol I love johnny too just never thought much of that moment compared to the way they belt out the song, just my two cents
I feel like one of the most if not the most powerful lyrics that i find in this song is one of the opening lines. “I found you here, now please just stay for a while, i can move on with you around.” I can relate this to a lot of things. Whether it be living or nonliving. Idk, just a very powerful lyric.
Yeah this one hits me too. Like the other song “So far away.” Just never know what tomorrow brings. Why I always cherished the days I had with my love before she passed.
Terrible feeling. I listen to "sadder" music nowadays but nothing comes close to a song that reminds you of a dead loved one. I hope youre doing good man
thank for reacting a7x again! i'll be the first one to saw your reaction when you're upload the content, love to see u'r reaction, i want to see you for all days, you look so gorgeous🖤 keep your great work going honey!🔥
Man I remember waiting up until 3am on school night back in 2006 for this video to drop on their MySpace page and then watching it 50 times in a row. I cried my eyes out at the music video, and felt like I was somehow special because I knew the woman who played Matt's wife in the music video was his partner in real life. I tattooed 'Seize The Day' on my leg when I was 16 after this song haha. Good times thinking back, I was so obsessed with this band for so long. I think I technically have 3 tattoos, 2 I scratched on myself with a cheap Ebay tattoo gun thinking I was cool, and one professionally done as part of my sleeve when I was old enough to go to an actual tattoo shop. All that said, hearing The Rev sing parts of this gives me goosebumps all the way down to my soul. Fuck, I miss that dudes talent and his voice.
I'd recommend watching the actual music video for this too, the track itself is a bit clearer, especially the acoustic guitar focus and the vocals are much better.
i remember waiting online with friends on multiple fan sites and myspace for the drop of the seize the day music video on their site all night. the site kept crashing, it got pushed back so long but it was eventually worth the wait
We all can see that this is a genuin reaction. You felt the song Rayactions. From 7:46 in the song to 9:37 . You had tears in your eyes. (don't ban me, but your nose showed it) Much love
In the music video for this song, which is just as emotionally impacting as the message of the song is, Matt didn't want to have any actress play his spouse in the video. He wanted his actual spouse to be in the video. He wanted the most real and raw emotions for the emotional reactions in that video and it really impacted us as an audience who watched the music video for this song.
This song offered me a fresh perspective on the cycle of life and death. The line "Newborn lives, replacing all of us, changing this fable we live in" struck me as particularly profound. It's deeply philosophical when you think about it-new life constantly emerges, reshaping the story we are all a part of.
So what if I never hold youuuuu YEEEEAAAAAAAH! ….. gets me every time and as a die hard A7x fan I love that you couldn’t resist either. I play this song sometimes when I just need to let go, because that’s what this song is. Them just letting go and admitting that part of our experience is not knowing. But using it as an excuse to cherish life and love it for it’s as you say”bittersweetness” instead of choosing nihilism.

You’re right. I honestly think it is why I can connect with people who love and understand Avenged Sevenfold.
6:49 This part always hits me right in the feels. Such a great vocalist.
Same here. It’s my favorite part of the song. 🤘
The rev voice in that part gets me up but sad at the same time :(
Best of the best ax7

So happy to see more Avenged Sevenfold on your channel!
Your reactions are some of the most genuine on RUclips. I think it's part of the reason you're blowing up so fast. 100k plaque soon =)

THIS SONG SOUNDS AMAZING IN ALBUM VERSION, BUT IN LIVE... I THINK THER ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT.

Another great reaction. I’d like to recommend “Scream” next from the same live set. It’s such a vibe

This song is one of my favorites and it is so emotional. Makes me tear up in the inside every time I hear it. Most legendary band to ever exist.
I’m glad you watched this because it’s my FAV SONG and def my fav from the LBC performance. I watch it every day. And cry lmfao.

I really hope you get back into this concert
Thanks for reacting to these songs its nice that a bunch of us guys from the past and you guys at present both enjoy the same stuff.
You need to see the official music video. The last part of this song is the best part for me.
Thankyou very much ray, im from Indonesia. You're So Beautiful with this style, and your emosional make me feel that. ♥♥
I like coming back to the video of this concert and it always amazes me on powerful the revs voice sounds, especially on this song
NGL, after the first pause I just kept singing and finished the song. Good God this still gives me goosebumps 18 years later.
One of those songs I’ve wanted to learn to play for years, but never gotten to. The lead work is perfect

Yes same here I don’t get the hate they’re fucking awesome
holy crap ty for the link to the WHOLE concert AI upscaled \m/ The fps alone is noticeably better than the version I have lol also good review 😅
The solo of this song takes me back to the year 2008, when I childishly ended a relationship that still bleeds me to this day.
Seeing the rev playing brings tears such a great drummer lost before his time and syn is my favorite guitarist ever probably
Withoit a doubt, One of the most beautiful guitar solo ever. Live version just makes it better, so soulful.

The rev over the top is amazing also on of my favorite avenged songs ever and the guitar solo is amazing love avenged always and forever
