Minimalism is beautiful...I like it. The more things we have, the more time we spend to take care of them, and the less time we spend for more important activities.
Simplicity is the real way of living life. One can live in any condition even in adverse & cope up with situations. Once a person get learned how to live alone ,he/she won't deal with people.. Being alone teach one to become incharge of one's thoughts, emotions & behaviour. Your energy gets preserved & utilised in right manner..When we remain silent, we realise that majority of energy is wasted on dealing with unnecessary stuffs. We relearn ourself being alone with self.

Hi Nick! I currently live out of my Prius by choice, since July 14, 2019. I really enjoy it, for the adventure and for the savings. Watching the monk in the video reminded me of my own situation. When you live in Thailand, you get used to seeing monks with their smart phones, ear buds in listening to music, ownership of vehicles and other comforts. Let's get real here!
My current sleeping situation is a very comfortable spring bed with a pillow and a bolster. I admit that when sleeping elsewhere is quite uncomfortable, but usually I manage to get used to it after 2nd or 3rd night. When I took a meditation retreat several years ago, there was no too much challenging situation because the hermitage I attended was equipped with a lot of good facilities. There are "kutis" for monks and dorm for lay people who wish to practice meditation. the food they provided was very good and nutritious. The monks (bhante) were also very friendly and full of merit.
@@nickkeomahavong01 It's in Kuching, Serawak, Malaysia. It's a Myanmar tradition hermitage and practice meditation under Pa Auk Sayadaw. Most of the bhikkhu there was ordinated by Pa Auk Sayadaw. One day, I want to ordain. But sleeping in a tent on the ground is one of the most daunting parts for me. I actually used to really enjoy sleeping on the floor. During my early college years, I actually just slept on a blanket on the floor in my room instead of a mattress and I thoroughly enjoyed it. But then I started having back problems and learned that I have scoliosis which I now believe was caused by sleeping on the ground. Now I sleep on a mattress on the ground with a very neutral pillow to try to promote spinal alignment and support. I've also found that sleeping on my side contributes to the twisting of my spine. I don't see how I could sleep on the ground and without going onto my side in the fetal position which used to be the most comfortable position when I slept on the ground (but causes back problems). My scoliosis is slight but causes a lot of pain at night primarily and also pain throughout the day when it's bad. I'd like to know your thoughts on this. Are accommodations occasionally made for people in my position?
Oh I see. It depends how severe the situation is, but we do take things care by case and try to support each person. When you apply online and do your interview with the monk, he'll assess your specific situation 😊💙💙

I did videos to explain. For me with a small matt because I have back problems your tents look very good! I am in Italy. We have to remember to don't be sadomasochist with others and with ourselfs. Sometimes we forget that to be cruel with our bodies is not buddist way. May all living beings obtain illumination. Your videos are very good. Thank you.
I once went to meet a most famous Buddhist monk in my country. I wanted to invite him to deliver a Dhamma sermon. He went to the room opened the door to get the diary to write the date. Be a monk when you are in a position to leave everything. For that we need to have eveything first! Have you! If you have, one is a monk already! Can sleep peacefully even at your home! 😊
Yes but many are happy too. Really, we all each have our individual preferences. We can't judge another's life and call it miserable. Yeah some are, some are not. I wish we vould all live in the situation of our choosing without judgement or having to pay a lot of money just to live. We could all just exchange trade and services rather than currency. Whether person wants to be an astronaut, to cleaner to a monk or nun of some kind, to have a family, or just a partner or to be single and each respect each other's choices. It'd be a nicer world. The problem isn't technology or relationships or lack thereof, it's our attitudes to each other and to the planet. We can have all this and respect each other, be kinder and better to the planet.
U r right Money is not sin or devil...not bring us to suffer...it is just matterial that created to be an intermediate of exchange... wat bring us to suffer us our libido and greedy

Be a monk when you are in a position to leave everything. For that we need to have eveything first!
Have you!
If you have, one is a monk already!
Can sleep peacefully even at your home!

yes
I have seen many miserable people living in 10000 square feet homes.
🙂
Amen to that!!!
I'm actually not as rich as I used to be and I'm more happy 100 percent. Buddhism is a huge reason why.
U r right
Money is not sin or devil...not bring us to suffer...it is just matterial that created to be an intermediate of exchange... wat bring us to suffer us our libido and greedy
