Just made these with SRF,salted butter, vanilla and cinnamon extract and they are quite good. Tip: don’t flatten the cookies out too much on the pan and keep the cookie balls small. I did two batches and the best batch was finished in 7-8 minutes. 11 minutes made for crunchy cookies with some brown on the sides and bottom
I just made a batch and they are perfect. Crisp outer with chewy center. Added some vanilla extract, used salted butter, and self-rising flour (along with the baking powder and baking soda the recipe called for)
@@clackin8146 every time I bake coolies homemaker it doesn't come out right I use self rising flour eggs and sugar my goal is to bake successfully sugar cookies.. I just also now learned to make homemade duck sauce for egg rolls...
Honestly one of the best baking tutorials i've ever watched. Everything about it felt really smooth and succinct/straight to the point. I also love the choice of music!! Take my like :)
Hello! @Aquaticproducts. Normally with 2 and ¾ cups of flour (in this recipe), cookie dough should not be overly wet or sticky. However, if it’s too wet, you can either chill it longer (more than an hour) or add more flour. If you use the latter technique, try adding 1 tablespoon of flour at a time and mix until combine. You do not want to add too much, as you’ll end up with crumbly and dry cookies that don’t spread. Hope this helps.😊
I've made this recipe over like 10 times already. I gave it to my family they say it's the best. Also your the best for making this recipe. Thank you stellar job!
Turned out great! Added a tsp of almond extract for my own preference - furthermore your recipe is actually so much faster and easier than the one I’d been using for years. Thanks! 🍪
I am 11 my mom always try's to convince me to find a hobby then I started 2 bake and these sugar cookies were the first thing I baked they were a huge success and my siblings always ask me to make it for them, they were also my personal fav
Wow these r so good they didn't turn out chewy but turned out crisp on the outside and buttery and crumbly in the inside and the the sweetness is just perfect.
Made these last night with all the listed ingredients and oh my goodness they were perfectly chewy - not too much and not too little if that makes sense. Loved it! Thank you!
Anyone reading this comment it might look a little floury at first but I put in on microwave to help melt butter for about 40 seconds and it helped a lot and it’s accually pretty good
OMG I am 11 years old and I love these sugar cookies they are easy to make and delicious definitely recommend bonus points if you decorate them with frosting, soooo good
Perfect and easy recipe! I also added spices that were left after Christmas gingerbread cookies to the dough and it added an extra depth of flavor. Thank you so much!
I just tried this recipe. It's perfect. It's exactly what a sugar cookie should be. Crisp on the outside and chewy in the middle. Outstanding flavor, just add about a teaspoon of good vanilla extract. I also rolled a few in cinnamon sugar and it makes a dandy snickerdoodle. If anyone out there is wondering if this recipe is any good, take it from me, you won't go wrong with this one. Thank you for posting it.
Thank you for posting this! It's simple and to the point! Also done by hand and not a mixer lol. This is a great base recipe! Can probs tweak it quite a few ways yo make different cookies. Like a lemon zest or almond extract ... maybe even crush up some oreos and make a marbled sugar cookie. Thanks again!
This the first video I came across where I actually don’t taste the baking powder and baking soda! I love it and my two year old loves it too!! Thanks so much!!!
I know it’s a late comment! But you can always add vanilla extract and sometimes nutmeg to give the cookies more flavor and kind of detract from the baking soda/powder flavor. Vanilla extract gives cookies more depth generally anyways, just don’t add more than 1/2 a teaspoon for recipes you haven’t tried modifying before.
I am so happy I found this recipe today these are the most delicious cookies I've had in a long long time easy to make and delicious thank you for your video see you soon
This was so cool it was fun to bake its my second time making this thank you! first time i did it was when my mom and i baked.. now my mom is at work and im with my brother and this is accualy the first ever cookie I baked! ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊
This recipe was one of my favorite recipes I’ve probably ever baked and being the daughter of chefs i’ll be honest at first I was really worried because I think I added to much flour but after I added an extra egg it helps so so much!
This looks amazing, i would love to try it one day! When I’m older i really want to become a vet and maybe even bake treats for the animals, It would be good for me to start learning now
Thank you for this fabulous recipe, it’s so delicious and it’s now my family’s favorite cookie. I’ve made twice since Christmas. Thanks for sharing and for the easy to follow instructions 😊.
My family really enjoyed these, and so did I. It tasted amazingly! Mine had a more smooth surface for some reason. Maybe because the consistancy was different. I used slightly more flour, and didnt roll them in suger at the end.
Thank you so much for trying out the recipe. I am so glad that you and your family liked it. The smooth surface (without cracks) probably due to using extra flour. It will result to cookies that barely spreads when baked and a bit dense at the center.
UPDATE: SECOND ATTEMPT I left my butter out for over 2 days and everything went flawlessly because it was ACTUALLY room temp and easy to work with 😍 the difference was night and day when mixing everything together. LOVE this recipe
I made them! My fam just ate them ❤️ If a cup of butter is too much, apple sauce can be used as a substitute, however when baking you must flatten cookies (less butter, less slippery/oily). This is also good because this recipe has more dry than wet, so applesauce will help with the mixing.
Thanks for the great tip! I apologize for the incomplete ingredients list in the description box. I already updated it. Again, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I appreciate it.
I make the cookies tonight following the steps you demonstrated. They come out beautifully, not too hard not too soft. I used 10 minutes and got 40 lightly browned cookies out of the recipe. I made them for my students as a treat. You know how strictly the school food policy is - with so many kids having food allergies nowadays, it’s hard to bring treats with safe ingredients and the kids like it at the same time. This recipe is perfect! Thank you thank you thank you!
Hello! @plaininvisible. Thank you so much for trying the recipe! 😊 I am truly delighted that the cookies turned out as expected and the kids enjoyed them. I understand your dilemma when preparing kid-friendly treats. It can be daunting.
