    Blake Griffin's injuries took away his explosiveness. He settles for alot of jumpers now. I remember back then before the injuries. He's relentless inside the paint and not afraid of the contacts.

      Hold this L um no he’s forced to stretch the floor especially with Drummond in the paint all day

    • @theSUBVERSIVE
      @theSUBVERSIVE 6 лет назад +5

      Not quite, he has been playing regular seasons like that but goes back his way in the playoffs, but with all the injuries and early exits, we just haven’t seen him playing during playoffs that much. But if you go watch the last few years when he is not injured, he plays differently and more aggressive. But he needs to play like that on some regular season games as well, he needs a better balance between preserving himself and calling the ball and being a leader when the team needs.

    • @jgk381
      @jgk381 6 лет назад +4

      Somewhat true, but more so because of the personnel he had around him imo. SVG refused to start any shooters around him other than Bullock. So when the defense doesn't have to guard Stanley Johnson, Ish, Smith, or Drummond on the perimeter, they can just pack the paint and make Griffin into a jumpshooter. That was a big reason why he took so many 3s with the Pistons. Casey plans to spread the court around him and use him as a point-forward though, so I think he will be playing in the paint more next year.

    • @Truthtella
      @Truthtella 6 лет назад

      I think it was SVG bad offense that didn't know how to utilize Griffin skillset. SVG should have let Kennard be the PG. That way defenses couldn't sag on him. This year will see a better Griffin. Rumor is Kennard will be playing more PG this year.

      Yeah I kinda miss seeing that explosive dunking griffin

  • @XXWeaponXIV
    @XXWeaponXIV 6 лет назад +36

    Why do people think since he’s not dunking a lot means he got worse he literally developed all areas of his game and is more efficient 🤔

    • @theheebs100
      @theheebs100 6 лет назад +3

      it's not like he isn't still one of the best dunkers in the game either. He just isn't quite the physical specimen that he once was. he has become so skilled though. there is nothing missing from his game right now.

    I can’t believe I just watched a nearly ten minute video of Blake Griffin highlights that only had 4 dunks... it just shows how he’s developed his shot so well and he doesn’t have to purely rely on his athleticism and dunking ability. I think he’s super underrated, and if you’re not counting Giannis as a Power Forward, I think Blake’s a top 3 or four PF

      Kenny bolo Man that would be awesome. But your right that one might be a stretch. I don’t think Detroit has enough to make that deal.

    • @ishadablackman8689
      @ishadablackman8689 6 лет назад +1

      are you calling them twin towers because they are both tall? Or because they are tall and explosive 😂😂

    • @desmondthesavage2595
      @desmondthesavage2595 6 лет назад +1

      Ishada Blackman because they're two of the best bigs at their positions, it's not the same as pelicans move having the best 4 & 5 in the league on their team. But a similar move none the less but we can go with explosive if you like.

  • @deandrepage1048
    @deandrepage1048 6 лет назад +5

    Griffin has extended his range to behind the 3-point line 😄😄😄.
    A BIG GUARD would perfect now for the Detroit Pistons at point guard position.

    • @commandershepard1838
      @commandershepard1838 6 лет назад +1

      DeAndre Page they need a better 3. Kennard at the two and Reggie at the 1 they’re fine, but bullock shouldn’t be starting. Too one dimensional. Need a guy that can get his own shot at that spot. I really wish they could get Rudy gay. He’d fit them perfectly. They’d need to move Jon leuer and that horrible contract which is impossible, so unfortunately they’re stuck where they are. As long as reggie doesn’t do hero ball shit, he’s a good player. But if he’s having an off night, he compounds it by trying to dribble and shoot his way out of it instead of getting other guys the chance to create. That’s why pistons fans are so frustrated with him. He’ll have good games then just look like a dude that thinks he’s Kobe but he’s really Shumpert.

    • @jgk381
      @jgk381 6 лет назад +1

      With Blake, Reggie, and Luke they already have 3 guys who can create. They need shooters to space the court or they'll be no room for any of them to dribble. Dre can't shoot and Reggie is an average shooter at best. Bullock is the perfect role player compliment for this starting lineup.

    • @deandrepage1048
      @deandrepage1048 6 лет назад

      Randy Randerson 100% FALSE.😀😀😀😀
      Reggie Jackson misses games because of ASTHMA.
      Time to add a 3-point shooting-style point guard.
      That's how you compliment a lineup with 2 BIGS.

  • @grandmaster0558
    @grandmaster0558 2 года назад

    Blake Griffin was obviously much more than a high flying dunk machine..... A terrific handle with the ball, runs the court very well for 6-9 250, very strong physically and can make plays for others with his passing ability. The only knock on his game might be his defense and inconsistency rebounding.

    Pistons stay healthy... They'll make the playoffs... Starting 5 should be Jackson, Bullocks, Johnson (if only for defensive purposes), Blake, and Drummond.... They need to greatly upgrade the bench tho

  • @p.bi1179

    So underrated now jus because he don't do those flashy dunks no more. After injuries he lost his athleticism but hes a way better shooter n passer now. Pistons got a future.

    Boogie Cousins was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans after the All-Star Break last season, it knocked New Orleans off stride for a playoff seed 😄😄😄.
    It takes time for 2 BIGS ( PF & Center) to gel together = full Training Camp.

    • @AdamLovesHorror
      @AdamLovesHorror 6 лет назад

      DeAndre Page what? The pelicans made the playoffs and as an underdog beat the blazers. Cousins was out but if anything that only proves it’s possible to go in and out of chemistry and be ok.

    So impressive how much he's improved his shooting form over the years. Used to be a total stiff, now on some shots he's proper wet. Smart move too, it'll extend his career significantly once his athtleticism further declines.

    He Needs To Be More Assertive

  • @commandershepard1838
    @commandershepard1838 6 лет назад

    All he needs to do is go to his left in the post more. So many times he just tries to bully his way right and the guy pulls the chair on him and he slips and falls. If he worked on a spin from right to left, he’d get a lot more quality looks. He can even go back to his right off the spin with an up and under, but he needs to keep them somewhat guessing.

    • @dannyavila1520
      @dannyavila1520 6 лет назад

      savage 7ecneek They are both athletic face up players capable of spotting up or making plays.
      Blake is better play maker and scorer.
      Gordon is more athletic,better rebounder and miles ahead as a defender.
      They shoot same % from the field and from 3
      Pretty similar if you ask me Blake only averaged 2 more points in Detroit than Gordon in 2 more minutes.
