    Underrated as hell due to lack of consistency on offense but ELITE wing defense....
    IF Casey can help him develop then the guy can easily be top 10 SF in the league

      He is more like OG anunoby type but inconsistent in offense but good in D.

    Anyone who talks poorly about Johnson’s potential must not have realized the fact that he was being coached by Stan Van Gumby. How can you expect a young player to develop when he barely gets any playing time. People get better at basketball by actually playing against people better than them. No one ever became good by just doing drills at practice and it’s not like he’s playing star level players at practice with the exception of Andre Drummond.

    • @kevlopez8415
      @kevlopez8415 3 года назад

      I’m a Pistons fan, he couldn’t shoot the fucking ball and would foul everybody. There’s development and just hurting your team

    • @Bazzookie
      @Bazzookie 3 года назад

      @@kevlopez8415 Johnson was a bad pick, but also in fairness, he also was hot against the cavs and Van Gundy benched him... he never got minutes, and Van Gundy was, and still is, a shit coach that doesn’t have an idea how to manage young talent let alone create a system, culture, or offense for an NBA team. I don’t know Stanley Johnson, but having Van Gundy as your head coach coming into the league as a rookie isn’t great for anyone’s development. Plus, the pistons were ass as a basketball team, there’s no hurting a team that simply isn’t going to win anything regardless. The pistons should’ve been rebuilding like they are now years ago.

    Disappointed Stanley isn’t off to the start of his career I hoped he would be but I know first hand losing your mom just drains you as a person you start to care a little less about everything... I don’t see any improvement in his game hopefully he is not severely depressed

      Making Sense I agree Van Gundy pulled him off the floor far too much these first 3 seasons hopefully he can have a similar career to Jimmy Butler

    • @sammadison1172
      @sammadison1172 6 лет назад +1

      I think he cares too much. Not enjoying the game. He can't get out of his own head. You can almost feel him overthinking .. it comes out in odd decisions that don't seem in the flow. I've seen him make latent moves on no one. I bet he is a very hard critic of himself, needs to play more freely and learn to get in a game focus. I made the comment that he plays like he's watching himself on TV. I think it's pretty accurate.
