Thank you for this style. Actual button presses are what I needed early on. So many people said "boost then drift...blah" and never said what they were doing. It literally took me 2 months to realize I needed to hold the drift button to maintain the drift lol.
I went from standing still and hitting my target to never standing still but missing everything

With the tflight you can bind maximize power to the hat switch, which controller users can't. This makes gasping easier on a hotas than on a dualshock.

Thanks for this! Don't think I've got the skills or composure to use this while trying to hit anything, but it should help me get out of trouble - I tend to play objectives and can usually get in quickly enough to take down a subsystem, but then I've got no boost and 1 or 2 tails.
I wonder if this is possible with keyboard, since the for some reason you can't have boost/drift on the same key
i'm on a logitech xtreme 3d pro and rn I have boost and drift on the same button. Will that be a problem?

Does this work on a hotas? I've tried this and can't get it down. How do you set up your drift input, hold or double tap?
Definitely still hold! Just be steady and start slow. Still possible!

The problem with boost gasping is that Hotas users who use their thumb to change system power can't do that if they want to fire lasers with the thumb
In this video, you said you were going to show this done on regular power management. And you said numerous times that APM is better for this. I’ll keep preaching how unfair it is that console players don’t have access to additional efficiencies of this tech. But I would like for you to make an a part 2 of this video and show it done with standard power management.
I did it with 4 pips in engines which is even less effective than with simple power management! You can see this more clearly in the Advanced Power Management guide!

Does it matter if you hold the drift or not before you switch power back to engines?
It does not! I still recommend holding the drift, as it makes you go faster!
Is there a possibility you can go in depth with control layouts? On standard layout it’s nigh impossible to boost/drift and switch power simultaneously.
The only change you need is to put boost on left trigger!
