- today we are checking out the Trek Farley 7 this is a brand new 2022 model and it's already selling out really fast, the Trek Farley seven has had some minor changes this year and is going to be a real big contender in the winter bike and snow bike and fat bike category but it's also a very capable off-road and just regular trail bike with an adjustable geometry it's able to be really fast on the flat trails and flowy trails as well as being built out to be an excellent adventure bike for the winter season or in the sandy terrain.
Trek bikes must have got over their lawsuit with the Farley family as have continued the name and it's going on to be an excellent bike with a Manitou front fork it's going to be really interesting see how well this performs in the winter months with 80 ml of travel it should be pretty effective across the board whether it's in cold weather or warm weather but you just never know let me know if you end up with this bike it is going to be a game changer.

Got my Farley 7 about 3 months ago and love it. Great for single tracking down here in NC.
Thanks for this wonderful concise and informative video! I just got my 7 in today and this video held my over through the waiting process which was about 2 months (I intercepted a bike already ordered by my shop but not yet claimed) 😉
Great Bike ! I ordered in July 2021 and was not expecting it until January 2022 so I kept on checking the local shops and found a few here in NY that had my Medium in stock so I bought mine in September 2021 and wow! This bike is great! The drivetrain is great for climbing and coming out of a down hill along with the great fat tires for awesome stability on trails. (Haven’t tried the snow yet 😎). The bike also feels slight lighter than my roscoe 6 (love them both).
I got this bike a couple days ago, can't wait to get out on it! I didn't order it, just inquired and got put down for it and with some research learned it's a real solid value so couldn't resist buying it. Located in the Yukon too, I feel pretty lucky.
That's an awesome place to have a fat bike you'll love it
With Bontrager XR4 Team Issues (27.5 x 2.8) and Bontrager LineComp 40 wheels, my 2021 Roscoe 6 has almost the exact same look.. Love IT…..🇺🇸
Mine just arrived, I ordered it in May. I love it and get some strange looks in Texas.
I got super lucky finding one at a shop in the states unclaimed. Put the deposit down and am picking it up in 3 weeks!
I have a 2018 farley 7. Almost identical to this one except for the dropper. Such a fun bike.
Not many changes!
That's a sweet bike there
If only they weren't a unicorn
Cool bike
I just got the 2022 9.6
Awesome that's a sweet ride
I ordered an Xcal 9 in August it was originally scheduled to arrive November 1st just got an email from Trek that it has been delayed till January 31st.... 😡
helpful and informative, though the variations in the audio track were annoying.
Noted! Thanks for watching
I had a Farley 5 on preorder but checked my bike shops website and found a Farley 7! I prefer the SCRAM Eagle 12 speed over 10 speed Shimano. The front suspension is a bonus. I didn't think I needed a front suspension since fat tires soak up uneven terrain so well, but I am looking forward to seeing how the
Definitely still nice to have suspension, especially if you use it in the summer
@@goodluckchrisclark I found out buying 45North XL Concave studs will cost as much as one new studded tire. So, deciding on Dillinger 5 or Wrathchild Fat is my new dilemma. Any suggestions?
How can they have visible cords on this but not on basically all other models they make?
That fork has an air spring. And a medium frame fits a 4.5 tire just fine.
I run studded 4.5" front and rear on a medium Farley 5. No issues.
@@danielmcgowan9534 Did you buy separately rear 4,5" tire? Just got my Farley 7 in M size and thinking about both 4,5' , or both 3,8" ?
@@alexgoriatchenkov Yes, I bought Gnarwahl and a Barbegazi. The Gnarwahl tires are studded. I change them out for the Barbegazi tires the summer. Installing and removing studs is a pain.
@@danielmcgowan9534 Thank you a lot for the quick respond. So, 4,5. OR 3,8 ?
@@alexgoriatchenkov I stayed with 4.5 because I want float for summer and winter biking the river bottom when the water is low. Silt and sand are difficult. I figure I can get a bike for narrower tires if/when I need it. I went with, "Go fat, or go cyclocross.".
For winter I find commuting is better with wide and low pressure (6.5 down to about 2 psi). Ice ridges left by cars on the road or bikers in the snow are easier with a wide, squishy tire.
riding experience video please
Just today got my Farley 7 2022, color is phenomenal and drives easily same as regular bike.
Found one in stock 109 miles from my place, instantly prepay and picking up same day.
Update; my Medium size have front 4,5" , and rear 3,8". Looks strange to me (according Trek site is should be), so thinking make both 4,5 , or 3,8 ?
Any suggestions Please?
Yes we have seen the same, haven't tested to see if it will fit. I assume in lower pressure it will contact the frame
@@goodluckchrisclark Found and ordered 3,8 Gnarwhal (same as my) , will stay with 3,8". Man was not easy to found, and 4,5 was available for ordering only...
3,8" in front will let me install fender in way I prefer. Lovely looking bike!
I have another comment. Why doesn't Trek publish owner manuals for these bikes?
All online
I want one , but cant find one in XL
We don't see any until August!!
I need good suspension fork for fat bike in india any suggestions or leads
They are hard to get, if you're 26" the bluto from rockshock is great
What's the electric version
Nothing from Trek, Moose or Moustache would be what I referred to
Nice cookie cutter made by Giant.
Lol
