Anglo Carnatic Wars | Modern History of India

Anglo Carnatic Wars: The British and the French companies which had entered the Indian subcontinent in the 17th century were at war by mid 18th century. These wars are called Anglo-French wars or Carnatic wars. These wars were also caused by the prevailing rivalry between these two nations
. By this time, the Mughal empire had been declining and new regional kingdoms were emerging. Both the European companies utilized the weaknesses of these smaller kingdoms and dragged them also in the wars. Finally, the British East India company was victorious and the French were
just reduced to keeping in possession of their factories merely for the purpose of trade. The British East India company gradually defeated subsequent Indian kingdoms and established its rule over India.

Sir, if i m not misunderstanding then in one of your class you told us that the battle of plassey happened because of 5 reasons and one of those reasons was because of the misuse of "dastak" by EIC's emplyees and when the ruler/nawab of bangal(Mir Qasim) asked EIC to take actions on this, the company agreed but the employees still kept misusing the "dastak" because of their recent victory in Carnatic war, but sir the battle of plassey happened in 1757 and the british won the last carnatic war in 1760( The battle of wandiwash) sir arnt these time zones mismatching? my question to be exact is that .... was carnatic war anywhere give raise to Battle of plassey? and if so was it a direct or an indirect reason for it ?? ... and lastly thanks for the video sir it was really helpful.
