Yes, it would be fun to make it and mess with it, but the problems with making liquid helium is the fact that it is near impossible to have it turn into a liquid state, since its boiling point (the temperature that helium vaporizes at) is an insanely low -452 degrees Fahrenheit (or -268.9 degrees Centigrade,) the lowest of any element on the periodic table. Besides, it is extremely hard to find on earth, and the price is rising fast. The price rose 70% in a mere 13 years.

The magnet would compress the liquid oxygen near it around the magnet itself, also the magnet would drop to the temp of the liquid oxygen very quickly because there's more contact between the liquid and the magnet.
Liquid hydrogen is not water, burning liquid hydrogen with liquid oxygen is what the space shuttle uses to produce thrust in its main engines, it produces water in the process
The liquid oxygen may be cold enough to freeze the gasoline into a goo, and if this happens esp with stirring it may turn into oxygasoline goo. If I tried to ignite that experimentally, I would do so to a mere teaspoonful with an electrical igniter, a long pair of wires, and possibly hearing protection.
No because first, it would fill our lungs, making it hard to breathe anything, and second, the is just Oxygen (O). The Oxygen that we breathe is O2, which is two Oxygen molecules bonded together.
Ethan Valentine I've no idea where you got that - a diatomic element is always diatomic. It's O2. The only problem is that the liquid is not accepted into the alveoli.
The only real problem with this is the temperature and/or pressure and their effect on your flesh. People breathe pure O2 from tanks sometimes. You just breathe less if you get lightheaded. Look up world records for holding breath, or Wim Hof method.
wrong, diving tanks are not oxygen they are compressed air which is about 29% oxygen, or nitrox which is 39% to 45% but NEVER pure oxygen or higher than 50% as oxygen is toxic at depth
Wolfless Gaming Chances are combustion would happen, considering how volotile the mixture would be just some static electricity could set it off easily

Hey! It would be so cool if you could make a Liquid Ozone! It have a beautiful light blue color and a sweet smell. Thanks for your great teaching and entertainment!
Absolutely _not._ LOX and gasoline can form a sort of jelly, with 50 times the detonating power of TNT, and rather touchy. When it formed accidentally in early rocket tests, everyone moved _waaayyyy_ back, and would just wait it out until it evaporated naturally.
Liquid oxygen is used in a lot of applications. If you have liquid O2 then you have almost triple the amount of useable oxygen in a tank if not more. You can breath O2 when it's not in liquid form. Mix with a little nitrogen and bam you got breathable air.
Ethan Ferns yes but with concentration of oxygen around it it will burn more vigorously correct me if I'm wrong but oxygen doesn't actually burn it simply supports burning causing any flame with an actual fuel source to burn brighter

The magnet would compress the liquid oxygen near it around the magnet itself, also the magnet would drop to the temp of the liquid oxygen very quickly because there's more contact between the liquid and the magnet.
DogBoss liquid oxygen is magnetic
Make a rocket with the liquid oxygen. You can fly it in space.
and liquid hydrogen
ANice Gamr water?
Liquid hydrogen is not water, burning liquid hydrogen with liquid oxygen is what the space shuttle uses to produce thrust in its main engines, it produces water in the process
Sorry* me*
what will happen if you through liquid oxygen into campfire
andew mayen a big wooosh and its burned
DasEtwas maybe but not always
andew mayen throw*
ItsStacker TheEpic threw* if u want to be technical
Adil Qaiser techno waffle frisbee!!
Can you drink liquid oxygen under water and is it heavier or lighter that water
Grant would be a guy who would light chips on fire.
Chum I'd rather eat it
Superchu 987 lol
Yeah this was torture for me
Can you mix the liquid oxygen with gasoline and light it up? Like if you agree.
thomas clark gasoline would probably freeze
Yoda yep the gasoline will freeze to small chunks. and the chunk will burn if you ignite it
Yoda why aren't you talking like how Yoda talks? here I'll help you :) "probably freeze gasoline it would"
The liquid oxygen may be cold enough to freeze the gasoline into a goo, and if this happens esp with stirring it may turn into oxygasoline goo. If I tried to ignite that experimentally, I would do so to a mere teaspoonful with an electrical igniter, a long pair of wires, and possibly hearing protection.
+Eltontv I used to do that but I just can't be asked anymore, I've retired.
Madman reaches into liquid oxygen to retrieve his potato chip.
If we were to fill a bathtub with this will we be able to breath underwater
Under Garmin you can breath pure oxygen it's fine. Some Poeple use it to try and breath longer. Diving tanks are full of oxygen for breathing as well.
wrong, diving tanks are not oxygen they are compressed air which is about 29% oxygen, or nitrox which is 39% to 45% but NEVER pure oxygen or higher than 50% as oxygen is toxic at depth
Make solid oxygen under pressure (red oxygen)
yeah! anyone can reach 100GPa at his home I do it every monday to make pop corn!
And how will you pressurize it?
ikr
Is it edible?
Fox _ no
the bigger question is does it taste nice?
JohnTheBeast ok but like, can you drink it
This is awesome. I am sharing this.
Do stuntglass/sugarglass that they use in movies and make vine bottles and glass with silicon molds!!!!! Like so grant can see
edible glass :P
-should- *must* be tasty
Agree!!!
don't move I was thinking the exact same thing I want sugar glass now I will lick it
Does liking this comment bring his eyesight back?
He should mix liquid O2 with liquid H2...perhaps he might get water
combustion would need to happen
h2o2 is peroxide
Wolfless Gaming Chances are combustion would happen, considering how volotile the mixture would be just some static electricity could set it off easily
Please don’t, as a huge nerd I must say it is bad for your health.
Flippers op ya nerds are gud
Hey +Grant Thompson - "The King of Random" Just saw an experiment on Zeer Pot Fridge Can please try that out I know you don't have time for reading comments but if you please make it happen fingers crossed
and BTW awesome video as always
10:37 that is perfectly timed with the music
Hey! It would be so cool if you could make a Liquid Ozone! It have a beautiful light blue color and a sweet smell.
Thanks for your great teaching and entertainment!
3ArtDigital
Isn't ozone toxic?
Missile yeah i think so
Missiles have launched
Minecraft pe geek huh?
Mix liquid oxygen with gasoline to make rocket fuel.
Yuletuude Person the gasoline would ether freeze or if enough pressure is present from the oxygen boiling it could ignite
Absolutely _not._
LOX and gasoline can form a sort of jelly, with 50 times the detonating power of TNT, and rather touchy.
When it formed accidentally in early rocket tests, everyone moved _waaayyyy_ back, and would just wait it out until it evaporated naturally.
Can you extract cyanide from apple seeds?
Paci Paci Pac i think you can
Paci Paci Pac or cherry pits
Paci Paci Pac yes
Paci Paci Pac OMG do ittttttt
Paci Paci Pac some hydraulic press channels did this before, and with proper results (cyanide moisture around seed remnants) lol
I know you say “don’t try this at home” but... I might have to try this at home😅
Don't do it inside if you are going to light things on fire.
YOU SHOULD MAKE A HOMEMADE SNOW MAKER!
I have one but its a super secret setting on my freezer called "crushed"
Blend Ice TADA
But what's the use of liquid oxygen? ??
YJN Ideas Channel Nothing.
Liquid oxygen is used in a lot of applications. If you have liquid O2 then you have almost triple the amount of useable oxygen in a tank if not more. You can breath O2 when it's not in liquid form. Mix with a little nitrogen and bam you got breathable air.
ROCKETS
Travis Bohanan Breathable Air??? *MindBlown*
Burning down everything and in hospitals but there nothing fun happens
most of the 11$ goes to the can itself lol
Cheese 1337 how much exactly
aufdemtrip refill will cost at most 3 dollars
Cheese 1337 it is about $3 for can of propane including the bottle so not very much
Him:“Watch this if I just tap these cups gently”. Cup on counter:“Thud” him:“all the snow comes off”
Yes, but there are much cheaper and quicker ways to make snow that are available to people right now :p
I heard you eat one of the chips
Théo F Shut up.
mr mow he can’t shut the past up
The real potato is right :D
So?
Get the best quality bottled air from "O'hare Air"
Mitch Deevers Hahaha
that movie reminds me of north korea the leader and not being able to leave always being watched
I prefer canned Perri-Air.
Mitch Deevers JUST LET IT GROWW!🎄
Try to make liquid helium
I wonder how that would work, lol.
That would be dope
YES
I want to watch liquid helium
Just floating around
What happens if you take that liquid oxygen and use it to water plants or something like that
It would vaporize as soon as it comes in contact with a certain temperature (I have no clue what it is, look it up if you want to know)
drink it!
Alex IG He would die. Liquid oxygen will freeze your throat shut and poison you.
Frosty Dawn thought it would work like he just breath an oxygen
Add 852 the air we breathe is more than just oxygen. It’s part oxygen, part nitrogen, and part hyrdrogen. He would die
There's not a lot of hydrogen. More like nitrogen, oxygen and dust particles.
x ProAtomic Have you heard of oxygen chambers. It's pure oxygen. People say it makes you feel incredible. By the way its mostly nitrogen.
Hey Grant. It would be really cool if you could use the liquid oxygen as a rocket fuel for a model rocket. Like if you want to see this!!!
Carlo Joshua De Lemos Yeah I know, but it would be cool to see!!
Oxygen it self is not flammable so you need another fuel source that when mixed with the oxygen is combustive and able to produce lift
Odysseas Hatzopoulos I know. I meant as an oxidiser.
Grant please mix it with gasoline and light it off. Do it for us!
That would cause a large explosion! No!
Nicholas Roberts not a big explosion it would make the same explosion as a gasoline explosion because there is oxygen in gasoline.
Ethan Ferns yes but with concentration of oxygen around it it will burn more vigorously correct me if I'm wrong but oxygen doesn't actually burn it simply supports burning causing any flame with an actual fuel source to burn brighter
@ Ethan Ferns If that were true then car engines would not need air intakes. Lighting Gasoline in a pure oxygen state would be extremely explosive.
Long live “The king of Random”
what happen If you put liquid oxygen in a vacuum Chamber??
No Name thank you
Maluco Gameplay it boils
I'm pretty sure it would evaporate
