I grew up listening to John Denver's songs. Hundreds of artists have covered this song. But I feel Home Free took this one to another level for me. It is one of my favorite covers of this song. I love everything about it. It is a masterpiece. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group hands down.

Loving your Home Free journey, Ginger!
This is definitely a Top 5 favourite for me! Their 5 years spent perfecting their arrangement to the point where they felt John Denver would love it too was well worth it!

I've been asked many times what my favorite Home Free song is and it's really almost impossible to answer considering their vast catalogue of music. But, this would be it if I could choose only one. For me, it highlights the best of each of them in one song. It's a beautiful arrangement that the guys worked on perfecting for almost 5 years before they recorded it. There's nothing I would change about it. Great reaction Ginger - enjoying your Home Free journey. 🍟

They sang this when they were recently in Oregon and encouraged a sing-along.
But the most impressive version of that was in Europe where the audience sang every word with them. I usually don't like that - but with them, it was stunning.

I echo the sentiment and memories of growing up listening to John, for me it was with my mom. We saw him in concert several times. The one time we were in front row, I was about 7 or 8 years old and had a shirt on that said "Thank God I'm a Country Girl", he pointed to me that he loved it. I will never forget it. He was a wonderful soul, and as an avid fan of Home Free, I think he would have loved this. I still get teary with this song occasionally.

Ginger - loved your reaction - this rendition hit me hard in the feels as well - such a soulful, heartfelt upgrade to an already awesome classic - their version really tugged at my heart and made me feel like I heard it for the very first time. I've seen these guys in concert 4 times and they are exactly who you think they are.
I'm no spring chicken but their youthfulness (egads they are in their 40's but they're kids to me) makes me feel alive!!!
I've met them and they are just plain down home good guys who make wonderful music and they don't mind sharing the stage.
They've collaborated with many of the "BIGS" / Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, Don McLean, just to name a few but also collab with lesser known acts because they've been in their shoes....
Keep up the great work and never apologize - you have the "Home Frie" Nation backing you up!!

My dad used to sing this to me before we went to bed at night (he's a wonderful tenor) and then he played the whole JD album for me on 8-track when he couldn't be there to sing. Plus I graduated from WVU, and this is WVU's theme song for every football game. Let's GO!!! Mountaineers!!! Love this one for many personal reasons. Thank you so much for reacting to this one. Such vocal talent this group has. They just take a cover and add their own little twists to it and most of the time make it better then the original. Home Free has a very loyal fan base for a reason vocal excellence and very grounded guys. I have a few suggestions from Home Free. "BLUE AIN'T YOUR COLOR", "MARY DID YOU KNOW", and "MY CHURCH".

Hi Ginger! If you want an in depth look at these phenomenal talents jump on RUclips and pull History of Home Free. They have 7 videos that are about half hour each and it tells how they got started, all the people that were in the group and how they ended up with the guys they have now. Very interesting and funny also. If you're going to see them live you will not be disappointed. I believe they are the best group out there today. Have a great day! Loved the reaction.

It's owner & only bar-keep was a woman who bore a remarkable resemblance to yourself...a doppelganger of sorts, in looks, voice and manner. TaTa !
