I know I am late but in Pokemon oras, red mentions that green(m) went to kalos for work (I don't remember properly) and at that time red was 20 years old so green also must be 20 as of kalos arc. I don't know if I am correct🤔

Red in particular has his own arc about getting his job and dealing with PTSD of all things, and Silver becomes a freelancer. He's not poor, but he has the unavoidable duty of becoming everyone's babysitter across the entire damn world. Also, as he likes to emphasize, he's single... And content!

Also the player characters you can play as are Red and Green if FRLG. So the game names still make sense in that regard

I love the pokémon adventures ages them being a bit below 30 makes sense and the newest pokédex holders being teenagers so yeah happy 20th anniversary pokémon adventures
I just love the continuity of these stories. It shows growth and connectivity to the audience in real time. That is one major advantage I put over the anime. As they take the promotional episodic approach With limited character development and world building, The books have more artistic freedom and world polishing to keep the reading Audience engaged.
I should read more of this series. I have the first batch of the Black and White books as well as a couple of the first Pokemon Adventures books and I've read some of the Platinum ones at my school library. I want to check out the other books and read them correctly by starting with volume 1 for each of the series. They seem really interesting.

I know you are considering the game ages as well, but thats a big mistake, you have to take red's age into consideration first and according to that adjust it. The names were swapped in the official English translation of the manga, so that Blue is the guy with the charizard while Green is the girl with the blastoise. I think the reason is because the pokemon red and pokemon blue versions of the game being the ones released in America, while the pokemon green version wasn't released there. The official translations swapped the names to make it easier for young readers to connect the names with the games. I could be wrong about this theory, though XD so take what I said about the reason with a grain of salt.

I can see them spending a lot of down time together at professor Oak's place after Professor Oak basically adopted her after the GSC arc. and their personalities bounce off each other really well.
