Thanks to subscriber Chasbro Chas, I recently discovered that Best Buy was selling the Autel Evo batteries for $50 each. That's a great price and the batteries are in stock. You can even find them at some retail stores. This is a great deal for Autel Evo batteries. The Evo batteries tend to give out over time - I had one fail last year - and with these prices, you have to wonder if Autel is getting ready to discontinue the batteries. Time to grab more Evo batteries now, so you can stock up for the future at a great price.
It is a great deal . . . you have to think this is all designed to clear out inventory ahead of them discontinuing the product line - especially since the Evo has been around for several years now. I really hope evo owners take advantage of this while they can.
$50 bucks is a good deal! Thanks! I got very lucky and a friend of mine that almost never flies his Evo shipped me two batteries just today! He just wanted me to have them and I had offered him $100 bucks for 2 and he said "no. Just pay the shipping." All done, they will be here in 2 days! Hopefully, they didn't just sit and go bad over the past 2 years!
Mr. Jeff! It's your favorite pain in the A. I'm the die hard Typhoon 500 guy. You've helped me a lot in the past. If you have time....question: I have a Typhoon that absolutely will not Bind. I've done everything I can think of including taking it apart & running checks on all items. I've also used other boxes. Do you have any suggestions?
Jeff I know you mentioned that you still couldn't find you battery charger for your Evo1. I was cleaning out my attic and had an old ac to 12v cigarette adapter. Just a thought considering the Evo1 is still an awesome drone and you bought 2 more batteries at that great $50 cost. I do see on amazon and B&H photo that they still have the charger for the Evo1 but it is the charger which would be plugged into your car cigarette lighter. Buying the ac to 12v cigarette adapter which in pretty cheap will give you the opportunity to continue to fly. Just a thought!!
You know, I never did find my evo charger. No clue where it went. I finally gave up looking for it and started shopping for a replacement, which turned out to be almost as difficult to find. Autel didn't have it, none of the autel dealers had it. i tried to find a seller on the classifieds on autelpilots.com. Finally I started watching Ebay, and after awhile, i saw a charger listed. I got that charger, received it last week or the week before. So i'm FINALLY back in business with the Evo 1. i thought about getting the car charger, but with all the new Evo stuff coming out i probably will sell the Evo 1, so I had to have a wall charger for it. But I won't sell it until I do the episode you and I discussed. So that episode is in the queue - I've got a bunch of episodes planned and/or in the works right now, some of which are time sensitive. But I can finally do the Evo 1 episode and that's gonna happen. By the way, I have picked up the Evo 2 Pro and as of late last week, the Evo Lite Plus, so Autel is getting a lot of love from me in 2022. LOL
@@JeffSibelius I know you bought 2 awhile back, but also wanted to let you know the 4 battery multi charger was on sale for @22.00 form like $90. Just in case you didn't find your Evo1 battery charger. Also that I'm using the older explorer app and it's works perfect.
Hi Jeff. Not trying to add insult to injury because I know you bought 0 Evo1 batteries for $49.99. Just letting you know for today only. Sept 19 2021 for about 14 more hours. It's back at $24.99 So now I have 2. I know an issue might be on how long they sat on the store shelf might deplete the full capacity, but for that price. It's a no brainer. Curious....did you ever find the charger for the Evo1 batteries?
wow that's a short life. I've had mine since the Evo was first released, and one of them has failed. The other two, as far as I know, are working properly. But it definitely makes the point that Evo owners should jump on this deal now.
@@JeffSibelius I had 3 to start off with and they all died about the same time ordered 2 more and they went about 3 weeks apart. but lucky for me every time I had a battery die on me it atleast returned home without crashing
@@mlrvideo This is what happened to me - I was flying and all of the sudden the drone started taking off on me, straight up. Took me a moment to realize it was probably just going into RTH mode. I didn't want to take the chance on it flying off, however, so I battled it for awhile and finally got it down to the ground - but I figured it was the battery going out on me. I haven't flown since for the very concern you describe - I got all the batteries at once, and if one went bad, maybe the others would too.
@@JeffSibelius I did buy the 49.99 battery from BB the other day before I seen this video. but recently my evo 2 pro did something strange I hit RTH and put the controller down and waited for it to come back, but I didn't hear it when I thought I should and picked the controller back up . It said it was coming home but it was going up and close to 800 ft when I brought it down.

I get a little over 1 year on my batteries, then they just die.

@@mlrvideo wow - that would freak me out. Did it respond properly when you saw what was going on?
