Hey Jeff. I only have the Evo1 and don't do a compass cal unless I'm far away from the last place I've flown. It's quick to do and it has never failed. I do always check the sticks on the remote control to make sure the drone is working correctly. Just took the old bird out for some exercise a few days ago. Nothing to scenic, so haven't posted yet. Hope you're doing well. Still haven't see you out there with the Evo1 since you last bought the batteries on sale.
Hi Chas - I can only think of one time when I've ever calibrated the sticks, and that was a problem with the Typhoon H. I've been knocking off several videos that I've had queued up for awhile, and I'm about to start doing several Autel videos - Evo 2 Pro, Evo Lite Plus and a couple on the original Evo. I never did find my charger so I tracked down a replacement charger on Ebay . . . I should be able to get that one up in the air now, at least.

I got horizon tilt so bad on a mini 2 that nothing fixed it so I had to send er in
that's really unusual for it to have a defect like that. Typically the calibrations will set things right.
