Nintendo announcing a new OLED bundle in September does not disqualify the possibility of a Switch 2 reveal in the same month. Keep in mind it makes sense that Nintendo would put out some new Switch holiday bundles for this year to help clear out old inventory before the Switch 2 launch.
Another thing to point out : Special Edition paterns OLED Special Editions releases exactly 2 weeks before a game Lite Special Editions releases arround 1 or 2 weeks prior to a game And with Zelda EoW breaking that paterns, the 2 dates for the reveal are Sept. 12th and Sept. 19th

There is nothing to suggest that the OG Switch won't continue to dominate sales for years to come and Switch 2 can still drop at anytime, with both playing most new games.
Well there is actually, Switch sales are already declining, which is normal due to market saturation. Once the successor is released, that decline will only sharpen. Nintendo expects that and said they aren't concerned. They also once said, irrc, they want quick adoption to the new hardware. How? Backwards compatibility and account carry over, also exclusives. Pokemon ZA and Metroid Prime 4 will be probably be the only "cross gen" titles. Afterwards Nintendo will just release for Switch 2.
The point is they can keep OG Switch going as long as they want with the right pricing and reach new players all the time. Seeing as their appeal is targeting ages 5-95, 150 million is a drop in the ocean. If they do go heavy on the exclusive route, it will be different but the evidence for this is lacking, especially as times are changing in the way PS4 is still getting support

They can still have certain exclusives for the new system, sure. But maybe Nintendo will be torn between leading the way with their own exclusives to the new system and raking in huge profits from supporting both, as their games don't need to look much better than they currently do, just some frame interpolation and upscaling would be sufficient

There always tends to be a sale or a bundle or a special edition announced in or around a new Nintendo console’s reveal period. It’s looking increasingly likely that the Switch 2 could be announced this month or the next. Also worth mentioning that I highly doubt the bundles are what the press is hearing about. The press, developers and insiders are desperate for a scoop on the Switch 2, so why would they hear info on a bundle, let alone be drumming up hype and conversation about it? If sources like Dealabs knew precisely what the bundles are then I doubt the Switch 2 rumours are warped misinformation from that source.

I think it makes sense that Nintendo wouldn't want to drop the price of the Switch right before the Switch 2 is released. A price drop now would only serve to make it's successor look and feel more expensive Depending on the price of the switch 2 (say $400-$500?) a $200-$350 switch makes the NSW2 look like a great value ($400) or a premium upgrade(450+), possibly both, with the added benefit of not looking like an extreme price increase
This has been definitely an odd year for Nintendo. There's only been one "general" Direct, the others so far have been Partner or Indie and the Museum. It's also odd no games have been dated for February/March to close out the FY.

I think a lot more people than normal are aware of a Switch successor. It's not the same as when we grew up in the 90's & our parents were pretty clueless. Our generation are the parents now 😅 People in their 30's grew up with video games & the internet, and games are more mainstream than ever. On top of that, people have been speculating on a new Switch system for years now, so I feel like anyone with a passing interest in video game news has come across Switch successor rumors at some point. I don't think revealing Switch 2 will change much regarding Switch 1 sales this holiday. People have had 8 years to buy a Switch, so it'd be silly to get mad if a knew one launched after you bought one. Also, Nintendo is definitely more concerned about setting up their future system for success rather than hitting an arbitrary sales milestone with Switch 1. One last holiday sales push is nowhere near as important as a successful launch of your next gen hardware meant to carry you for the next 6 - 8 years. The fact they're not doing a genuine price drop on Switch shows me beating PS2's lifetime sales is less important to them than it is to fans.

They need to make a affordable console if the made a tv only digital console and sold it around $200 for the people who just want to play the games and dont care about portability it would be wise especially in this economy we have now no consumers will want to pay above $400 on a new console

Nintendo did this last year around the holidays NP. Bringing out oled console bundles with a game code inside. This is not surprising. Nintendo could be clearing out current switch consoles inventory for the switch 2 console launching during the 2025 fiscal year.

i just bought a oled switch and im disappointed. the shop sucks, the games are ridiculously expensive. i was surprised i couldnt buy gba pokemon games i wanted. nintendos loss, i just bought a miyoo mini.
Do we REALLY need a new Nintendo console? I just want more games for the Nintendo Switch. An improved store can be done through a firmware update, the additions of customizing wallpapers. Adding music in the Nintendo eShop, etc. 4K compatibiliy, better graphics, and more power is inevitable. But all I care about are the games. Perhaps add paddles to the Pro controller to make it in line with the Xbox Elite controller. But there isn't much innovation Nintendo can do. All that innovation died with the 3DS. 3D, microphone, dueal screens, stylus, customizable themes, StreetPass, PictoChat on DS, yeah those days are gone. I'm not entirely sure what new gimmick Nintendo can jump on after this. VR isn't really compelling unless they have Apple Vision Pro hardware, which I doubt.

I get sp annoyed with all the rumors and speculations leading up to a launch haha I love your videos and streams but the speculation and rumors get a bit much. I respect the content grind but ima cover my ears until the consol is ACTUALLY announced.

i still rather take these rumors with a grain of salt i don't believe in rumors because we don't actually know anything all we can do is just guess sure some rumors turn out to be true but you have to remember that some rumors do turn out to be false and we don't know when nintendo will reveal the next gen hardware i just rather keep my expectations low in check because i don't want to set myself with disappointment
Nintendo did this last year around the holidays NP. Bringing out oled console bundles with a game code inside. This is not surprising. Nintendo could be clearing out current switch consoles inventory for the switch 2 console launching during the 2025 fiscal year.
All switch 2 rumors so far have been bs. If you predict year in year out all kind of things the sure a couple of then will turn out to be true.

Nintendo will bundle but not drop prices...why would they....games will be made for switch 1 ....the store will be like gamepass for Xbox.. and say switch 1 or switch 2 or cloud.. and be back compatible...price difference means it's essentially like a switch pro and will have all 4 models ...lite.og.oled.switch 2...the old switch models were manufactured in a previous fiscal year and already costs counted against that years profits....now each switch is essentially pure profit going forward and they can keep a low margin system pumped up with these pure profit systems and inflate their profits in a launch year and sustain both for a year or two and let switch naturally die off all u gamers need to learn business #keepDEIoutmygames
I heard this on RUclips that PH Brazil said to keep an open mind. The switch 2 might be revealed this month or it might not.

i just bought a oled switch and im disappointed. the shop sucks, the games are ridiculously expensive. i was surprised i couldnt buy gba pokemon games i wanted. nintendos loss, i just bought a miyoo mini.

Do we REALLY need a new Nintendo console? I just want more games for the Nintendo Switch. An improved store can be done through a firmware update, the additions of customizing wallpapers. Adding music in the Nintendo eShop, etc. 4K compatibiliy, better graphics, and more power is inevitable. But all I care about are the games. Perhaps add paddles to the Pro controller to make it in line with the Xbox Elite controller. But there isn't much innovation Nintendo can do. All that innovation died with the 3DS. 3D, microphone, dueal screens, stylus, customizable themes, StreetPass, PictoChat on DS, yeah those days are gone. I'm not entirely sure what new gimmick Nintendo can jump on after this. VR isn't really compelling unless they have Apple Vision Pro hardware, which I doubt.

Yes dude, we do. The switch is getting pretty old at this point and cannot handle third party games for the most part. It’s time for more power so Nintendo can continue to dominate the console game. They can’t do that without massive third party support. Ask the GameCube.

Beside, Switch 2 is gonna have hard time to get the success level even 25% of what Switch was. Nintendo's ego to overcome PS2 sale is going to eat them badly. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Also, I would be really happy to be wrong here, as I am also Nintendo fan, but their ego is astonishing.

@@evermillcreek Well, Switch 2 was getting revealed since 2023 Jan every month. 🤣🤣🤣 And considering its specs, it is like 5 years old backdated by the time it will get released. And the amount of frustration the 3rd party dev will get on that spec will be staggering.

So when a company like Square or Capcom see that Nintendo controls 90% of their home market, what do you think their first thought is. Even a smaller dev like Nihon Falcom, which used to be exclusively Sony wised the hell up and we’re not even sure if Playstation is getting the Trails in the Sky remake now. I think it’d be garbage not to release it on Sony platforms. But who knows rn.
