Shoutout to the amazing ladies in this series! 🔥 I cant lie, all their food was amazing! 🙌🏽 What country should we get on next?
We want to know! 🔥
would be awesome to see poles trying each other's pierogi
Yes. Polish pierogies!
h
Germany :)
I love Martha's voice, so soothing. And I love how Maria compliments everyone and scores high. If she didn't give the 10, which is super rare given its a competition, then it would have been a tie. Both of their dishes looked perfect.
🔥🙌😌
This is dope based on the accents we have two authentic Colombian aunties, 1 British raised Colombian niece, and one USA raised Colombian niece
🔥🔥🙌
I was just saying the same thing
This is beautiful
Martha and Maria always make me smile.
Cute
Jessntalked all that about coriander leaves and didnt put it in her own
She always talks a lot and complains
Ikr! I was so confused 😕
Watching it now and already thinking she's talking too much and is probably be the classic character who talks a lot but presents mediocre/hypocritical food
Right!
Where was the coriander in Jess's dish that she kept complaining about in others?
I swear I just said the same thing
Jess talked way too much crap to not not have the best frijoles 😂
Right like girl you a hot mess with your juiceless frijoles
She said it has to have potatoes.... We colombians dont even put potatoes in our frijoles!
We need Martha and Maria’s recipe 😋🥰
Yes we do
lol I’m not Colombian or Mexican but the way she was talking about Mexican beans is rubbing me the wrong way idk… The whole laughing about being able to eat it with tortillas
yeah like what’s wrong with eating them with tortillas 😭… plus I’m Mexican and usually I have them refried or the whole beans in broth, never dry like that lolll
I'm mexican and I completely agree with u
I was thinking the same thing!!!!🤨
@@siielmaa exactly! i love mexico/mexican food/ ma mexican peeps😆 and I felt offended lmao. And lets not go down the route of comparing cuisines because Mexico has the best food in latin america theres no discussion😩
Same
please do an egyptain moms episode. it's gonna be epic
What classic food?
@@buzzfeedUK koshari, molokyiah, foul medams.
@@suliboytellem8330noted
You wanna embarrass yourselves to reveal you have no cuisine?
@@kayfay7674 how we have no cuisine? do you think we eat air or something?
The Colombians are so kind and fair with their judging. I love them!!!! More please!!!
No, but Maria was supposed to win.
I'd love to see a Mexican episode with Mexicanos trying each other's Pozole or Chilaquiles or Mole.
🤔🤔
idk what mexican frijoles she has seen but I wouldn't consider those Mexican frijoles either 💀girly was doing a lil too much saying they had Mexican vibes on them and laughing about it
yeah her turning her nose up towards mexicans here... Definitley not vibing at all...
Ticked me off. I’m Mexican. Maybe a Latin American person living that far from our part of the earth, should not be laughing about the food they think they understand.
Has she been living in the UK ? Why she sound british
Thats not even the worst part she said we put the nice things and then says to put potatoes.... we Colombians dont even put potatoes on our frijoles!!! Not even Mexicans do that!! (Brw as a Colombian I actually like Mexican frijoles as well.... Mexican food IS actually yummy!)
y'all must have cussed Maria enough. this is the nicest and most generous she's been. 🤣🤣🤣
It’s always the ones with the worst dish that has the most to say 🤦🏾♀️
We are 4 cultures in our home, the frijoles looks exactly like the Jamaican dish called stews peas & rice, with some plantains on the side, if any.
But many Caribbean traditions loves plantains.
But Frijoles is red or pinto peas (other red peas are okay too, but those are the go to ones. Combine both if you want a different flavour profile/texture).
This dish, some times made with adding pigtails in the peas pot and continue Simmer until everything is tender and then seasoned for more flavours with herbs & spices, and or can made without the meat if you are vegan, meat free.
The Cubans, Costa Ricans, Panamanians, Brazilians also made Frijoles similar
Look how diverse we all are, but over dishes are familiar and similar in taste and preparation, yet is named differently from other sisters nations and countries.
Stew peas has meat and little dumplings in it, it’s stew peas without everything else
@@couturebabii347 no spinners (little dumplings) and meat in ours. Thus reminds me of it. But you're right, stew peas with nothing in it
Thanks kindly
@@couturebabii347stew peas doesn’t have to have meat in it
Alex's mid taste bud ruining Maria's win streak smh
These ladies are making me adjust my volume bar so much!!! 🥲
Alex rated Jess's beans higher than Maria's? She literally gave Jess's Frijoles a 9 then gave us a twist when she rated Maria's as 7! How? I am sorry but Maria's and Martha's look so delicious! I want the recipes!!!
Anyone to their own opinion 🙌🔥
@@buzzfeedUK Alex's tastebuds are extra sus .. I don't trust them lol ..
I said who is this gringa, at what does she know about Colombian 🫘?.😂
@@pdiddy523 wtff. Thats like saying an afro latina knows nothing about the cuisine. Racist and ignorant.
@@pdiddy523Fr how can you critique when she doesn't know what the hell she is talking about
I love how not only are all four Colombian, but they made specific region references (Cali and Bogotá got shout-outs).
Alex's beans looked very dry compared to the others, and the reference to the beans being firmer was consistent, so... they still look okay and I'm happy she was pleased with them. I will say that the other three looked really good, and Martha's definitely look like Jamaican "stew peas". I'm not surprised she won.
🙌🙌
Martha and Maria are so beautiful!
I love it when they rate honestly. I would like to see Irish moms do one. I love the Irish accent!😂
🤔
they're so kind and fair!! frijoles is one of our best dishes fr
I love Colombian people & food! Was in Buenaventura for a few months years ago. Nice!!!! Much love from California 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇨🇴
Lol. Jess will find a way to make something she doesn't really like work. LOLOL. She gave a few options on how to eat the dry beans. That was too funny! Martha and Maria have been cooking a long time. I feel like I'd be safe at their tables. Lol. I enjoy this foursome, every time!
lololololololololololololol
Mexican Frijoles is the best
Latinas rarely ever criticise a fellow latinas cooking. They will praise if anything. Unlike other guests from other countries ❤
It's just our culture 😊
Maria and Martha are my favourites they need to give us cooking lessons.
Funny thing is that Mexicans have the best bean dishes by far
Never heard a colombian with a british accent before
Me either. Lol and im colombian
Nooo which Mexican bean burrito has kidney beans girl because not the Mexico I know or even when my family makes Mexican dishes or burritos
No those aren’t Mexican frijoles either
Idk about yall but lowkey a little offensive when she said “Mexican frijoles” with a dirty face
“ I would call this Mexican frijoles” she means the better tasting frijoles
Colombia. Here admitting this: When done right Mexican frijoles are amazing!!
The British girl looks Indian 😂😂😂😂
She's Colombian and she looks like lots of Colombians
You should do a Lebanese try each others dish!!
Thats not mexican frigolitos lol thats texmex . Mexicans don't use kidney beans😅 i cook frigolitos like the first lady with cilantro . I put coteja cheese and cremita . eat it with corn tortillas. Please don't say Mexicans cook with kidney beans.
I love the Colombian ladies. They’re all so talented and kind.
Dominican espegueti, African Catfish pepper soup next challenge! Please. 😋
Watch the space!
Not just at first glance I thought the two older women would be one and two
I’m Mexican. Idk what “Mexican frijoles,” you’ve eaten but I don’t think they were Mexican.
When done right you guys have nice frijoles as well!! (I'm Colombian) Ive been to amazing Mexican restaurants serve really nice frijoles but Sadly ive been to some mexican restaurants where i live and oof! No! Lo dañaron. But mexican food? Can be amazing!!! Specially well done tacos 😋😋😋😋
I’m not Mexican & even I know those aren’t Mexican Frijoles, she’s doing too much Mexican culture is ELITE 🇲🇽🤞🏽
Looks like people that sat Columbian women are super gracious are telling the truth.
Just to set the record straight, those look nothing like Mexican beans. Not sure how Mexican cuisine got dragged into this, but she's trying to perpetuate some negative narrative about Mexican food and I'm not here for it.
She definitely tried but ultimately failed.
Exactly Mexican food superior!
So fun to film ! 🔥🔥😌
Maria is so beautiful
The one who served the driest, hardest and nastiest frijoles is saying that the others aren't good 🤣🤣🤣
She said mexican frijoles mexico had the beans first we spread around the world hater. They should do a Mexican challenge darling 😂
Martha is always so sweet. Im glad it was her
The first 3 frijoles do not represent Colombian frijoles the last one looked okay but they were too dry, in fact all 4 if them were too dry, normally they would be served in a bowl like a soup with thick texture, also anyone wondering why one of the frijoles had potato and not plantain could have been because she didn't have any plantain and needed a starchy vegetable to thicken the soup, and I'm not even gonna talk on the American girls frijoles because everything about it looked wrong
why is the person with the worst dish always the most opinionated? LoL
I don't understand the need for the "Mexican Vibes" shade thrown since frijoles were introduced/invented 100 years ago in northern Mexico. Yes the dish did look dry and beans under cooked visualy.
Right! 😑 I’m Mexican and I’ve never had beans that looked like that.. lol
As a native Texan I have made and enjoyed my share of Frijoles on both sides of the border so I do know my beans.@@cindyga50
Not really shade, she just said that they didn't look like traditional Colombian beans
Stuck up, snobby, thinking she's better than Mexicans. As a first generation Canadian Honduran, we should always be uplifting and supporting our fellow latinos.. no need for her to turn her nose up to them...
Our beans don’t look like that and a Columbian would know that. She’s British. I wouldn’t be such an asshole normally. She started it.
Please do a South African food episode 🙏🏿
No one is interested in that and they’re looking for views when they post these videos. That’s why they haven’t done it yet.
Exacto!! Y Jess dice que disque con papa!!! Nunca se le pone papa!!! Jajajaja
Have them try Dominican dishes or snacks 🇩🇴
Martha and Maria are tied in my book
I'd be happy to try Jess' Frijoles anyday 😍
i need Martha and Maria in my life
It look like rajmachawal which made in India
For every Try Each Other's show, mayb bring one person who has never had that cuisine and get them to rate
Martha is my fav.
“ this is giving Mexican vibes” girl nah don’t do us Mexicans like that, cause that looks nothing like how we make them.
You guys should definitely do Guyana next
Brit Spanish 😂😂😂 coreandor cilantro 😅
jess’ breakfast idea sounds mad tasty
i’d never heard of this dish before but i would love to try it one day. looking at colombian restaurants in london as we speak haha
That's called calentao :). It means 'reheated' and you can make it with the leftovers of anything, including a Sunday roast. But don't forget to do a sunny-side-up egg - the runny egg yolk is the perfect sauce!
Can we get a video for Puerto Ricans !!!!
I love Martha and Maria❤️❤️
Yo quiero que hagan sancocho 🤤🤤🤤
🤤😋🤤😋🤤
I’m missing out! I’ve never had frijoles before. 😩
Did she give her recipe?
Now, i feel like making a pot of beans 😋
Jess talked so much shit just to pull up with straight up slop that I wouldn't feed my dog
Jess is kind of bratty
People like Alex really be narcissistic lol and it shows the grandiosity of her saying “there’s just no way I lost” and criticizing Maria for putting chorizo in her beans like girl if you come to my Pueblo and eat in my great grandmothers house you’d be eating chorizo in the beans quite often. Girl bye.
Frijoles con papa? En donde?!?!?!
Sera en la casa de ella por que en todo Colombia NUNCA 😂😂😂😂
A dish that doesn't meat!? PB&J, Desserts, and cereal. That's it.
Can I have music name in this video ?
Alex 😂 poor girl
So basically frijoles are rajma chawal with meat
That's what I was thinking 😂😂
👏👏👏
Never undercooked beans 😢😢😢😢😢
alex is definitely not 100 percent colombian her doesn't look like real colombian food
its just south american beans on toast innit
Did somebody say Colombian with English accent?
Traditional colombian frijoles don't have potatoes, should be plantain
The American girl shouldn't of even been on this, shes doesn't even know what she's talking about
Amen! 😂 No potatoes!
Historicamente la receta original es con garra de cerdo, no chorizo o ninguna otra carne
Frijoles... With potatoes?? What...? Um chile anyways so
To clarify this is mainly a popular dish in the Antioquia region of Colombia. Beans are eaten throughout Colombia but the way they were presented here was in the paisa style.
Colombia is pretty regional and varied with each area having variations in the food, accent, etc.
Ngl, Colombian/British english accent is beautiful 😅❤
I wouldn’t call those Mexican frijoles either gf 👊🏽
Dont mind her. She said colombian frijoles has potato. NOT IT DOESN'T you're not true Colombian if you say that! You will not get served frijoles with potatoes in any colombian home or place 😂😂
Can we get Martha's recipe?
0.21 since when do we colombians put POTATOES on our frijoles????? You're not really a Colombian are you? Nowhere in Colombia will serve you frijoles with potatoes inside! Chicharron or pork, tomatoes, hogao, platanos (plantains) maybe even mix rice and then the spices but potatoes? POTATOES?!?!
I only stan Maria. Us Maria’s are nice 🤣🥰🫶🏽
Ol girl is tripping Mexican frijoles look nothing like that 🙄
A Colombian with an American accent 😭
Looks a bit like stew peas
British gal said coriander instead of Cilantro, red flag 🚩 😂
Britain doesn't have Cilantro. She is kind of right.
@@lonalxaia coriander is the seed of the cilantro herb . Latinos all know this
I immediately can tell of wich social class each of this women come from. The white black haired is obviously from Bogota's high class. They are never satisfied with traditional dishes or the way other people cook.
Jess has officially made me want to visit Columbia. My friend is taking a trip to Cartagena soon. I couldn’t go. I heard they have some of the most beautiful women. in the world there.
