- India conducts successful flight test of indigenously developed "game changer" SMART torpedo system ,on Monday, that is on October 05, 2020
The Supersonic Missile Assisted Release of Torpedo (SMART) was tested at 1145 hours from the APJ Abdul Kalam Island, earlier known as Wheeler Island, off the Odisha coast.
The indigenously developed SMART torpedo system, which the DRDO said will be a “game changer” in anti-submarine warfare, marking yet another milestone in strengthening the country’s maritime strategic capabilities,

These platforms generally carry anti-submarine weapons, and if they are found to strike, there is really no need to call a land-based platform a hundred kilometers away to launch weapons. India has Tu-142, IL-38, P-8 and other large long-range anti-submarine aircraft. The control range is thousands of kilometers away, and the detection and strike are integrated, which is much more efficient.

Supersonic Torpedo 🔥
The hard part is always finding the sub you want to destroy. Once it is found then you can bring your forces to bear and destroy it. Anti-sub work is very difficult and needs high tech. This represents the kill part of submarine work, the finding part is much harder. I know India continues to work on these things. I'm from the USA and wish India the best of luck. Good work!

yes subs can launch anti-torpedo measures but India will probably fire 4-5 missiles at a time,most probably these missle will be based on our island network our navy has a soSUS network and we're buying anti-submarine weapons like P8 Poseidon and UH 60 Romeo helicopters

No countermeasures will work in short span of time. Then the Torpedo blast n drill through main hull n make 5 mtrs deep hole. Water starts filling in and Submarine will remain under water forever.
