the system is no doubt very effective against distant submarines but question arises that during the transit phase of the missile towards its target area it is vulnerable to enemy SAMs which could shoot it down mid air. what measures have been taken by the DRDO to ensure its safe passage mid air to the target ? Is DRDO working on the system's submarine launched version also ?

Same concept can be tried for AtoA missile where in one hypersonic missile carrier will carry multiple air to air missile.

conception to launch, but also the simple and excellently explained concepts. One matter which I cannot understand is, with such excellent scientific team in DRDO why is it that our scientists cannot fabricate a jet engine to power all our new fighter jets from Tejas to AMCA? Why not invite Indians and foreigners working on such projects in foreign countries to come to India and share their expertise with us, especially in specialised technical spheres where our know-how is deficient?

For using this missile assisted torpedo for anti ship and anti submarines at 600+kms range, what will be used to locate ship and submarine in first place to feed target info in this.

Torpedo ko target samne giraneke bojai direct attack kyu nhi karneme kya nuksanhai please bataiyega.
Direct attack can not be done on submarines because they remain under water.. that's why to neutralize submarines, torpedo is the best option. Also even for war ships too, evading torpedoes is much more difficult compared to destroying missiles with air defence systems.
And for direct attack on ships, we already have ballestic and cruise missiles.

Yes but that was bought from USA
Missile perse works if it surfaces. We are getting it on mh60R helicopters and I guess p8i also has it. If submarine is deep underwater, no missile can hit it. Only way is torpedo. Hope you got it.

Could you elaborate the use of supersonic speed when ultimately it is being reduced by parachutes .. how will the supersonic benefit work ?
Due to hypersonic speed, the missile will take less time to reach to the targeted location and can also be fired from a far away location.

It's one thing for the R&D to create new weapons, but what about the manufacturing speed and quality of the weapons suffered due to the substandard work of the OFB, HAL and other govt PSUs. How will the govt overcome that?
That's the major concern. For these the govt. Should focus more on private defence companies I guess.
