    Playing this nice jazz tune on my brand new Suzuki Gregoire Maret 48 Wood chromatic harmonica. I love this harmonica. So nice mellow and soft sound. This is instrument is just out of the box, just put some Suzuki slide oil on the slider. I have had this instrument for 5 hours when this recording took take and used maybe one hour before recording.

    I listened to this ages ago and was captivated by it instantly, but I've never had any sort of formal musical training and so the genre has always been sort of a mystery to me. This week I finally took the plunge, started diving into some theory lessons, and bought a chromatic harmonica. Excited to see where this takes me!

    Filip, you are also a teacher. What level of student would you teach this improv to?

    • @FilipJersMusic
      @FilipJersMusic  3 года назад

      Hi! Thanks for your question!
      I would say intermediate or advanced. Those levels also mean different levels to different people, so it is hard to say a general answer. But if you are able to play the melody on this song and are starting to improvise - you are intermediate. If you can play this song and improvise but want to develop your improvisation more, you are advanced level.
      Hope this helps, Filip

    • @landztranz

    • @valeskathomas
      @valeskathomas 9 лет назад

      Kev G. Generally, professional Chromatic Harmonicas come in the key of C. The chromatic harmonica contains all 12 notes, thus enabling music to be played in all 12 keys on one instrument.
