@cascadiaweasel. I have got exactly the opposite problem. I play all the old standards and other songs by ear on the chromatic harmonica BUT I am bloody useless playing blues on the diatonics.
I can bend the notes blowing and sucking no problem but apart from a simple 12 bar phrase that I can play I just have no ability to be a good blues player

@@FilipJersMusic One thing I like about this as a song to learn is that it's the perfect song to leran first without ornamentions and flourishes, and you can add them later in. I've gotten a lot of the song off the bat, but the faster parts in the higher registers are something I have to slow down and practice for awhile.

I play the 10 hole diatonic harmonica and l’m happy with my playing of it. I recently bought a chromatic harmonica but l’m hopeless at playing it, when using the “slide button”. 😩 I just can’t figure out how to play it. I don’t know when and when not to push the button to get the sound l’m expecting. Are there any tutorials available on how to play these chromatic harmonicas? Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated…Watching from Australia. 🦘🇦🇺🦘
