I liked your Video. I'm looking at potential replacement of the water pump on one of my cars too. The Jaguar S Type 3.0L uses the same engine as the Lincoln LS. Ford Duratec. Nice job. Now I have a pretty good idea of the needed game plan. Good job!
You're taking off too much, you should not remove the mount bolts, only the nuts on the front of the pump, leave the mount bolts in place and just take the front portion of the pump off and replace that.
Dude, the whole pump had to come off. The actual pump is behind all that. You're talking about just removing the bolts for the intake and return housing.
When I had my Lincoln ls that sounded like a lot. I paid over $3,000.00 for my water pump to get changed on my 2013 Lincoln mkz 3.7 AWD sliding roof. The dealer dropped the engine to change it. It's also connected to the timing chain. Warranty had expired. Was thinking about trying to change it myself. That's how I learn. Decided it was too time consuming. I would have tried if it wasn't connected to the timing chain.

m lackey thanks
Great video just saved me $$$. Thank you ! sound like Cleveland from Family Guy
Good video. But can you please put the engine size ( V6 or V8 ) in the title.?
Ok. V6
good call. My thermostat was not where his was. Probably because I have the v8.
Dude sounds like the black dude in family guy .. COMEDY
thanks for the info ... you know you sound like Cleveland. lol
Erskine Nesmith I know😊
Help how to fix an 2ooo Lincoln ls v8 engine shakes, and goes about 30 to 40 miles hr..
I would take it to a shop to have them run a diagnosis on it
You should have taken the radiator and fan shroud out for more room to work. Ijs
That sounds like more work 😄. It took me a more than a week trying to figure out how to take the radiator out when I had to😃.
is it a v8 you are doing
V6
This engine is a 3.0L Duratec V6 used in the Lincoln LS as well as the 3.0L Jaguar S Type
Deceptive, probably not on purpose, I was looking for the replacement on a v8, when you said this is where the thermostat is at, I knew it wasn't a v8
Richard Rathman I never recall saying v8. I have no motive to deceive. I don't make a profit off this. My purpose is to help people.
Richard Rathman It's a V6 idiot. Learn before you speak
