    Holy cow! This is the video I was looking for, a true in depth view of this motherboard. I love how you did the little things like bring up the fact of the m.2 screws are longer needed, not to mention the led status lights, m.2 heat sync, etc. Not to mention your video was just setup to be user friendly and right the the point(s) (no dillydallying.) You got yourself another sub :)

      @@DannysTechChannel Even a year old video and you are still active in the comments, what a guy,! I'll be sure to check them out thanks for that.
      I do have one question thought, how many 4-pin slots for fans does this motherboard (in DDR5 version, or are they the same between them both) contain. I think I counted and you said 3 + 2 + 1 = 6 (including the aoi pump and cpu opt)? Can you or should you use a 'non-aio pump' (just a normal 4-pin Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM) to put a 4-pin into it? If you can would I be okay to split that into two 4 pin of the same fan? to have 7 instead of 6?

    • @DannysTechChannel
      @DannysTechChannel  Год назад +1

      I think it will be the same amount of headers on both boards. I don’t have the DDR5 version so I couldn’t say for sure. You would be fine splitting them if you need to but the AIO header works as either a fan header OR an AIO header.

      @@DannysTechChannel GREAT! Thank you for the awesome help, I know who I'll be coming to in order for some GREAT tech tips, tricks, reviews, and just data on each and everything. I appreciate the help Danny :)
      Extra last question: I have one final question that I also have some if's about. Routing an Ethernet cable isn't a huge deal at all for me neither is my connection to the router, would that call for a non-WiFi board or WiFi board. I'm under the impression for WiFi boards you don't really need them unless you plan to be mobile, far from quick/fast speedy connection, and or just need a booster for the WiFi's connection to your pc, would these be right assumptions?
      Do you like WiFi boards or non-WiFi boards better, why/why not?
      ^^^
      That's may last question(s) which you've been a wonder of a help on, glad to have came across your channel when I did. Can't wait for further informative videos to come 💯

      No worries. I buy WiFi boards for my personal builds just in case I ever need it. Plus it gives you Bluetooth capability too. Not sure if you would use that ability or not. If you plan to hard line and know for sure you won’t want WiFi, save the money and got for the non-WiFi board

    bought the non wify version of due to budget and looks. if you ever redo this review you can say undervaulting the cpu in bios is really easy (my 12900k was hitting 100c in cinebench) and replacing the crap stock intel cpu bracket with an after market bracket is also very easy, (i recommend doing that to reduce temps as you wont need to undervault it) my temps now hit 80-85c in cinebench without the undervault. the board looks good in my desk build. the only issue i have is the rgb (armory crate) software worked fine when i 1st got it but now the rgb settings dont match the colour i get on my aio and fans. good mobo tho 😀

    Hi! Does the LGA 1200 cooling mount fit in the motherboard? I noticed that the holes are larger than usual.

    • @DannysTechChannel
      @DannysTechChannel  3 года назад +3

      Yes it does. I took B-Roll of them but forgot to talk about it. They have 2 sets of holes. One that is made for LGA1200/115x and also the LGA1700 socket. So old coolers and new ones will both fit.

    I have this same motherboard.
    How many m.2 ssd can you install? There is the single boot drive m.2 slot and then the 2 below the graphics card, is that it?
    You mention 4 slots and I have read four slots.
    But I only see those 3 unless it is tucked underneath the graphics card with no heatsink?
    *edit - so I see it is the drive without a heatsink that would be tucked under the graphics card. Do you know if it runs at the same speed?
    I assume I need to get a heatsink for the nvme then, any reccomendations?

    • @DannysTechChannel

    • @Wingedmechanic
      @Wingedmechanic 2 года назад

      There is no backward compatibility for LGA 1700 slot as current Intel 12th gen is the first of its kind. Intel 13th Gen will be compatible with it so it is forward compatible atleast for next generation. D4 motherboards use DDR4 whereas D5 motherboards use DDR5. They are not cross compatible.
