As A DIY guy my complements. Not only good ideas but looks to be very well built. The Details are what make a backyard project into a professional one. Again Great Job!
I watch a lot of fishing and boat videos and I have to tip my hat to you. This is one of the best. Congratulations on finishing your boat and enjoy it to the fullest!
I could write a whole lot here about how awesome this project is, but I'm going to just go with Amazing! I feel like I have stumbled onto a gold mine of sweet boat ideas. Thank you sir!
That is a BEAST! I have never wanted a jon boat so bad in my life! MY wife is going to have a cow because it looks like there is a new project in store.
Saw tackle junky shout this video out and checked it out. Man, I'm glad I did. Super impressive workmanship and finished product. I can't wait to go back and see the rest of the process! I can't wait to see what's next.
VERY Nice Job! I see one thing you might possibly want to add? Its called a Hot foot. The Hot Foot attaches to your rear trolling motor and mounts near your front seat. Your able to power up the rear trolling motor and lock it in place. As your siting in the front seat steering with the foot controlled you can step on the switch to power up the rear motor doubling your power to move to a new location. The cost about $25 and are easy to attach and install. You hook up your rear motors ground to the Negative on the battery. Run the power wire from the trolling motor to the switch then from the switch to the Hot on your battery. When you step on the switch it turns on the TM, when you step off it shuts off. Your videos are very informative. Keep up the great videos.
You posted this some time ago but I thought I would comment anyway. You thought this through and made it the boat you wanted it to be. That is the most important part about jon boat to bass rig conversions. I'm getting ready to do a mini (14 ft) version with less storage and dual side opening rod boxes (just my preference given the narrow width) I have a full sized rig for bigger places but mine will be all electric as well. You did an inspired job and planned this out- an incredible build that I hope gets you onto the big ones and keeps you safe. Thanks for sharing brother
Thank you so much for sharing all the info you have! I'm in the middle of my first real build myself, and you have saved me from making a lot of mistakes! Your humble demeanor, conservative presentation and insistance on giving credit to those who helped you, earned a ton of respect (im sure others feel the same) and made your videos a true pleasure to watch. Thank you for that! If you could change anything aside from framing with aluminum, what might it be? ~JW from North Idaho~
Thank you so much! i do appreciate it! I've had the boat out twice since completion and right now the only thing i wish i had done was recess the foot control
I wondered about that-- I just got my Terrova in the mail and will be recessing mine in the floor prior to installing my floor covering next week :-) Thanks again for the tips, thoughts, and Ideas.
you don't know me from Adam, but I just wanted to tell you that watching your videos was inspiring. You did a great job and even better, you did it! again, Great job!!!
I used to be proud of my boats deck job I did about 4 years after seeing yours and all the great ones on TBN I feel shame so now this winter I will be redoing it you guys are mad scientist on theses boat builds thank you for sharing your knowledge
That's sick! How much did you think it costed all together, (without trolling motors or fish finders and batteries)? You should make a video on how to build one but save money and what you would change when making a new one.
Not hate just a suggestion shoulda got a little 15 horse for the back or something like that. My friend has a little 12 foot aluminum boat and he's got a 25 Yamaha on it
There are more and more trophy lakes that don't allow gas motors at all. There are even more that have gone to horsepower limits. The biggest reason for this is quite simply there are so many rude people on the water that a lot of tax payers are fed up. Nobody wants to be fishing their favorite cove, especially when the main body of the lake is choppy to be harassed by either a rude boater pulling skiers or somebody who is a member of the more money than common sense club making waves in a jet ski. There is a time and place for everyone. The jet ski of today is nothing like the original Kawasaki 440. Today they are high performance boats.
I understand a craftsman enjoys his work and doesn't always consider labor in the cost of a project. Disregarding man hours/labor, I wonder if, in the long run, you would consider this project cost effective?
Excellent job! It has been a joy watching you take it from the mess it was when you first got it to the superb boat that it is now. I look forward to seeing you fish from it.
i don't have an exact number, however it wasn't cheap because i used aluminum for the frame. never again haha. another thing to consider is this project took me closer to a year and half to complete, so not all the money was spent at once
Great job. I know you have got be happy with it. Also that the project is now done and you can just fish. Thank you for the videos. One day I will be at my lake house and start my own project.
I just watched the whole series today and it's easily the best thing I've watched on here! Amazing to see it all come together! I'm hopefully going to do the same thing sometime soon. Good job man!
That's awesome man! I usually don't comment on videos but you deserve a pat on the back. That takes a lot of work. You really thought this one through and is a great looking setup
Tremendous job! I'm very impressed with your attention to detail. Looking forward to seeing your boat in action. Thanks for sharing and best of luck with the boat. I'm sure you'll take great care of it!!
Great job on the boat. I'm like you after all the work you put into this over the last year it is time to enjoy it. I look forward to seeing your new fishing videos.
That is a super nice boat!!! It makes me want to redo my boat! Thank you for the in depth review, I started following you because of this video, keep up the great work!
Amazing project, amazing results, and amazing video quality! You have a wide range of skills man. Don't let your film talent go to waste and show us some adventures on the water too! You just earned yourself a new sub
Man, this thing fishes she awesome!! I cannot believe how well this fished! I'm so impressed with you and this project! Can't wait to fish a lot more with you man! Congrats again!!
Fantastic, well done. You have great patience and skill. The only thing I would do, which you haven't, is to recess the trolling motor pedal. Enjoy getting the boat slimed up over the summer.
yeah that was something i wanted to accomplish but just couldn't get it figured out yet. the hatch it would sit in is just a hair too small, plus at the time i didn't know how big the new foot control would be. it will be a project for a later day
I just stumbled upon your video and you did an amazing job on your build. I love it that you just put it in the water and went fishing to enjoy it! Haha, Epic build.
awesome man ! love how you have everything planned out and organized. be sure to drill a hole or two in the Tupperware container for ventalation on your smaller battery.
Good work mate you've work hard and the outcome is absolutely awesome you have me some ideas to do to my boat as well so thanks for that and good luck fishing
Thanks for watching. Sub for future content
Literally the best build I've seen on RUclips yet
i don't know about that but i really like the way it turned out!
Have to agree with Nick, really turned out cherry. Good job!
As A DIY guy my complements. Not only good ideas but looks to be very well built. The Details are what make a backyard project into a professional one. Again Great Job!
thank you! i appreciate it!
This is just proof that you dont need a $100,000 boat to have a good experience on the water. Excellent transformation.
I have gathered inspiration and innovation from this video. Less turmoil and confusion results in more pleasure for fishing. Thx for sharing.
This boat is amazing!
Thank you! i appreciate you guys checking it out!
I watch a lot of fishing and boat videos and I have to tip my hat to you. This is one of the best. Congratulations on finishing your boat and enjoy it to the fullest!
Hands down that's the best Jon boat conversion I've seen thus far
thank you!
Dave & Rens Homestead why wouldn’t he use the seats
I could write a whole lot here about how awesome this project is, but I'm going to just go with Amazing! I feel like I have stumbled onto a gold mine of sweet boat ideas. Thank you sir!
thank you!
That is a BEAST! I have never wanted a jon boat so bad in my life! MY wife is going to have a cow because it looks like there is a new project in store.
hahaha go for it!
The attention to detail is incredible. That thing looks amazing and has like twice the storage my 19 ft skeeter has.
Oh my goodness that's the sickest conversion I've ever seen. Nicely done!
haha i appreciate it!
Saw tackle junky shout this video out and checked it out. Man, I'm glad I did. Super impressive workmanship and finished product. I can't wait to go back and see the rest of the process! I can't wait to see what's next.

Awesome boat I can't wait to do mine this summer
thank you! post it on the Facebook page Tiny Boat Nation if you can

Ive wanted to see the final product for soooo long but now I dont have a video to look forward too because you finished. PLEASE START ANOTHER BUILD!!
haha thanks for your patience man, I've been keeping my eyes out for another one. the problem is people are asking too much for junk
FIREANT FISHING I agree with you on the junk prices. I would look out of state. Tennessee seems to have a lot of boats for sale.
thats true, i usually look over in alabama but they are about the same
You can build mine!! got an all aluminum start on it but nothing near the storage or cleanliness as yours
email me
Beautiful work! You have raised the bar on Jon to Bass conversions. Congrats!
i learned a lot from this build, can't wait to do another one! always room for improvements
Nice job
Thank you!
I used to be proud of my boats deck job I did about 4 years after seeing yours and all the great ones on TBN I feel shame so now this winter I will be redoing it you guys are mad scientist on theses boat builds thank you for sharing your knowledge
anytime! glad your part of the group! Take tons of before pictures before you get to tearing it apart, it will be cool to see in the end!
Awesome boat can you make a video about setting up the fish finder
the install?
Love the boat you should make a fishing vid
its in the works!
This thing turned out amazing. Great job on the build. It's got to be super satisfying catching fish out of a boat you built yourself.
thank you! yeah it feels great. i like doing these builds because you can make it to fit your needs. very satisfying
DUUUDEE! This is F#cking Amazing, I had my doubt with some things but you finally totally NAILED it :D Holy!
haha thank you, i did too honestly. I'm glad it came out this good
This is probably the most amazing thing I've seen involving a Jon boat, this is just remarkable. You have talent Sir.
thank you!
That's sick! How much did you think it costed all together, (without trolling motors or fish finders and batteries)? You should make a video on how to build one but save money and what you would change when making a new one.
might be in the near future.....(dramatic music) haha
Great looking build...lots of great ideas. I also liked the intro with the lights and rolling the boat out of the garage.
Not hate just a suggestion shoulda got a little 15 horse for the back or something like that. My friend has a little 12 foot aluminum boat and he's got a 25 Yamaha on it
yeah man i fish electric only lakes so that is what the build was based around

at least like 5 hrs haha
Easily the best conversion I’ve seen yet! Great job on the boat, bud! Looks great! Bet it fishes even better! Enjoy it!
looks sweet! how much did it cost all in?
not sure, still debating on doing a video about that
I understand a craftsman enjoys his work and doesn't always consider labor in the cost of a project. Disregarding man hours/labor, I wonder if, in the long run, you would consider this project cost effective?
Great Job Ryan!!! Can you build me one??
FIREANT FISHING why no outboard motor?
Maybe as much as an older used bass boat? Don't know; all I can tell is that it looks like one!
Excellent job! It has been a joy watching you take it from the mess it was when you first got it to the superb boat that it is now. I look forward to seeing you fish from it.
Thank you! i really appreciate it! it took a while but i got there haha

i don't have an exact number, however it wasn't cheap because i used aluminum for the frame. never again haha. another thing to consider is this project took me closer to a year and half to complete, so not all the money was spent at once
Looks fantastic! The time, effort and thought that went into this shows.

Fantastic conversion. One of the best I've ever seen.

Dude. That's a dream boat. Great job
Very good build. I love your jig holder! I'm going to be putting it on my boat to keep my lures that I use for trolling. Cool idea!
awesome work, man! Much respect for keeping the sun screen close by lol. Us readheaded anglers always need a little extra storage space for that!
thank you! hahah yeah almost need its own hatch haha

Nice build man! the time spent building is worth the effort!
You are extremely talented and creative!
Incredible job bud. Absolutely slickest build I’ve seen to date.
My only critique would be to consider doing hidden hinges on your next build.
I just love it when I see a great plan come together. Thank you.
Fantastic, well done. You have great patience and skill. The only thing I would do, which you haven't, is to recess the trolling motor pedal. Enjoy getting the boat slimed up over the summer.
yeah that was something i wanted to accomplish but just couldn't get it figured out yet. the hatch it would sit in is just a hair too small, plus at the time i didn't know how big the new foot control would be. it will be a project for a later day
Awesome Job! Great planning and execution. Great example for us DIY'ers.
Damn brother that thing came out awesome! Now I gotta go back and watch the build
Sick buddy congratulations on a proper dude with a proper build!
