I am very confused on the situation with the cat. What was going on? Was this cat special? Why was he writing it letters, was he into some weird stuff? Was he trying to take the cat? How did he even know about the cat??

the cat wasn’t special, it belonged to nigel, another lawyer who brought it to work once because it was sick and louis saw it. louis is a huge cat person so he immediately loved the cat and started tolerating the other lawyer. as cat people i guess they just started writing letters to each other’s cats though i have no idea why, louis was just written as this weird cat fanatic with strange hobbies (like mud baths) so it fits his bizarre and over the top character

This is why we don’t watch suits as lawyers, the only people you will find watching suits are law students who think that’s what practicing law is like. They’re gone shortly after we complete our competency exams. (3 months)
