    nice video!
Bough week ago from an auction a stock durga and searching for great and must upgrades your video help me to understand that the cvd (universal shafts) are neccesary.
    What I ordered was:
    -Buggy aeration oil shocks
    -trf501x setting spring set
    - reinforced drive belt (2 pcs)
    - aluminum damper bushing (4 pcs)
    -trf501x stabilizer set
    - slipper clutch set
    - aluminum steering post
    - assembly universal shaft (front and rear)
    - aluminum suspension block (4 pcs)
-4wd buggy aluminuym hex hubs (front and rear)
-aluminum susspension mount (front and rear)
Thought to get the carbon fiber dampers but maybe will be a nice to have upgrade more than neccesary.
    cheers from Mexico!

@@badelife Nice! But you can spend a fortune upgrading this kit. RCKicks did a series about it. Still, it’s actually quite a capable modern buggy when you are done.

@@Triggered-RC saw it and thought about to get a Team Ass and other brand more capable and cheaper but this is my first buggy and my first major tamiya build and want it to be a special one. Not all the possible expensive hop ups but the must have one's.
      Love the durga looks btw

@@badelife It’s a great car. Much better than the Avante, for example. But that is also one that is worth building.

Haven’t had the time or the weather to try another run since I installed the big motors. Hopefully this month the weather will be nice and dry enough.

Nice video, just subscribed. Loving your paint job on the car, looks great. I just bought a new Durga and as you mention getting parts is a bit of a pain. Going to take my time though and get bits here and there as they come up! Slipper clutches are pretty much impossible to get now so have ordered gear diffs and will probably limit power to help with reliability.

Thanks for the sub. Took me a few months to find the slipper. Cost me about $125 to get. I think I have the gear mesh too tight. Gotta open it up and adjust it before I run it again. Tamiya should definitely consider doing a rerelease of this kit in my opinion.

I was thinking of getting one. But, since they're hard to find, I figured I'd wait until rere.

Of the older discontinued Tamiya kits, I have to say, the standard Durga kit is one of the easiest to get your hands on. Seems they produced way more of these kits than they sold.

Looks amazing, great job 🤩 Tends to whine, is something binding? Sure is a ripper.

Yeah, wonder if my belt is a little tight. When I built it I made it a bit tight figuring it would stretch a bit. Gear mesh seemed good though. I’ll take it apart and investigate.

Something is too tight, ive the ta05 v2 ( car version of this) and the belts dont sound like that- it would be nearly silent there.

Yeah. The gear mesh is too tight in the video. Fixed that.

How do you compare it to an Avante MK?

    • @Triggered-RC
      @Triggered-RC  6 месяцев назад

The Avante MK II is a DF03. No comparison. 100 times better. Or do you mean the original Avante? Way ahead of that as well. I don’t have the latest Avante, but I asked Gavin of RCKicks to do a vid comparing his Durga to the new Avante. I think it’d come out on top.

@@thunderbomb515 Probably a good idea: Shocks, double slipper clutch, aluminum suspension mounts. It took me months to get all the upgrades I have on mine. Bought most of them direct from Japan. Slipper clutch was the hardest to find. Cost me about $100. PlazaJapan is a good site for buying Tamiya parts from Japan.
