Superb! Zero excuse to wind down the channel - everything needs to be run on here now! ;-) You could tidy up the middle portion of the track to make a cross-over and have a figure of 8. Bags of potential!

Thats a nice little track for it, Id much rather drive on that track than flat out on a field any day, getting speed and timing right for little jumps is great fun. Get a couple of friends racing there it would be awesome on that track.
Great video lots of close up loved it please go there again totally awesome the still shots were great. Maybe phone a friend and take two buggies would make great race video. That’s what Rc cars are for not sitting on a shelf looking prity . Awesome looking forward to your next video all ready
nice run, the biggest problem with the avante on offroad tracks is the turning radius from lock to lock, steering needed to be improved back in the 80s. i ran shumacher cat, kyosho optima mid and the tamiya avante in the late 80s and the avante on tight offroad tracks always lost ground.
I wish that was my backyard. Great video as always Glenn. I’m not a fan of ball diffs. Get som gear diffs and the double slipper clutch. Keep up the good work👍
Nice one Glenn. That Durga looks a well balanced ride, shame about the ball diff. Looking forward to your next instalment at the track. Be nice to see the Avante and Egress on there. I'm just sitting tight waiting for the first batch of Vanquish 2020 to come in stock. Just ordered my Tamiya Legends mug too. We love Tamiya! ATB Darren.
Tamiya made sealed gear diffs that you can tune with different weight oil. They are a great upgrade for the DB01. I would think there would still be some around. You already have the slipper so add the gear diffs and you would be set.
Great to see you so excited! Small tip to avoid nosedives. Keep the throttle a bit longer past the bump or adjust back shock pretension if the car bottoms out on that kicker.
@@TAMIYALegends It also depends a bit on the power of the car/2 or 4wd. With more power and bigger wheels it's easier to control the rotation in the air. Throttle off/brakes = nose down. Full throttle = nose up. When the back bottoms out it can give the car a kick that is hard to recover.
Me and my mate found a very similar little track round the back of Richard Dunn sports centre when we got back into cars but we were told to move on as it's now closed down. Like you were were buzzing at finding it!
I couldn't help noticing some 'normal' looking people having a stroll in the background - I wonder what they made of the pink lunatic in the vest shouting into a camera whilst flailing a model car around :) Sorry Glen I couldn't resist :) thanks for the content buddy its always a pleasure.
Glenn that little track is awesome!! I'm seriously jealous bud..lol The DB-01 is awesome on tracks like that get it tuned a bit more and it will be a weapon on there. Mine was crazy on the carpet track,I use to race at before it closed down.. I request 2 things now bud. Keep the channel going with that track you now have plenty of of content. 2. Please bring the DT-02MS there and let it loose. I would be taking my fleet there if I could..lol Considering most of my cars are vintage racers that's saying a lot!! We love Tamiya to man!! Let's have a lot more happy RCing 😊👍
christopher coconis Thanks buddy 🤩 Well the channel is now definitely going to the end of the year 👊🏻. And I’ve so far made another 3x running videos there, Avante, Egress and DT-MS, the DT was probably the best on the track so far 😎🤷🏼♂️
Glen, try and get hold of some ND Industries 'Vibratite' VC-3. As the name suggests, it's a Loctite alternative, but rather than being an adhesive locker, it's a friction locker. You paint the compound on a screw thread, *let it dry*, then assemble the parts. Unlike threadlock and other adhesive locks, it doesn't crumble when you loosen or tighten a screw, so you can make adjustments without having to reapply the compound. Should stop your ball diff loosening, but still let you adjust it how you want it. Vibratite isn't a perfect solution - apply too much, and a nut will tend to peel off the compound, so it takes a little trial and error to find how much to use, but once you have, it's great stuff. Can be very thick out of the bottle - you can thin it down with Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK).
Hi Glenn, that was epic. I think we are all little kids buddy, when it comes to tamiya, can’t wait to build my Durga, I’ll need to do those hop ups too👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻😜
Certainly needs some fresher tires when you return that has those mini pins kind of like jconcepts reflex tires in tread pattern should do great on loose dirt. Seemed too do pretty well as long as you had 4wd at least & yeah the diff should be an easy fix if you check them over every few runs. Could be worth looking into getting the gear diffs perhaps if you want less maintenance imo, handling wise you get pretty close anyway. It's just easier too adjust on the fly with a ball diff in general & if you dont need that you can skip it entirely for sure. Do bring some tools so you can adjust things as well in a backpack or something along with something too drink, like 1.5 litre bottle of water thats been sitting i'd say an hour & 15 minutes in the freezer is perfect too bring along should stay fairly chill for about 30 minutes or so.. Maybe a spare battery or two as well.
✌🏻😎🏴Nice video Glenn. Your dealing with the same issue as me Glenn. All I have are dirt tracks for bikes. I have to leave Wales to visit an rc track 😔.
Nice place to run the cars. If you still have the Comical, take it out there (even if you don't film it), you'll be surprised how fun it is on a track, and the speed of it will be perfect out there. The ball diff might have just seated itself, which usually happens after a run or two on a fresh build, it should be fine from here out.
Not sure how the diff through nut arrangement is on those but you need to make sure thrust washer and balls are clean and run smoothly or will keep backing off
