I really enjoy Fright night, I absolutely am in love with how they made Nautilus and Renata kinda lile Gomez and Morticia from the Addams family and its amazing. I really enjoy this style of goth as its like one of my top 3 favorite styles.

Like doll up some champs in full gothic outfits and give them spooky particles. personally i hoped for pastel goth + trad goth to be the fashion choices but alas. Still great skins, the only one who i think is off is Trundle. Def shoulda gone to warwick or sett, hell even nasus.
This isn't what was originally presented though even if goths appreciate Tim Burton the theme itself is different from what the voted theme. This wasn't "oh they said we would get goth skins and we got Tim Burton skins that aren't goth" this is "we voted for the current goth skinning to get more love and they gave us a different skinline"
it's gothic sub genre called gothic suburbia (like stated in video) it's like saying Diablo is 100% RPG ... it is but it's better described as an action RPG or Hack and Slash so you don't create confusion also if gothic style have many sub genre's and making skins in one of those is not really gothic skin line is gothic suburbia skin line is like making a six new candy fruit flavors and making them all strawberry
Back when the line was announced, I thought and hoped that it would be more bloodborne like, with the gothic Victorian setting, but after seeing the skinline I am extremely happy with this skinline, and happy with the direction they went with
the thing with going for the victorian setting the recent highnoon skins are exploring a somewhat victorian style (Leona, Twitch, and Viktor). If this skins would be victorian like the recent highnoon then some people might say its like the highnoon skins. Though a bloodborne aesthetic on champs like trundle, urgot, and naut would be really cool too.

I do feel that something of like an eldritch gothic or bloodborne style should be a different skinline. The old gothic annie and goth orianna are two diff styles of gothic and i guess they sticked closed to old gothic annie's theme more instead of oriania's which is like romantic gothic i think?
tbh, i think fright night is one of the best lines in recent times. just so much is done, in the right ways. personaly favorite part about it is definetly the way urgot ult looks on it

I love the style. I actually want to buy that Nautilus skin, he's so cute. It's also nice seeing a generally more Light hearted tone for a skin line with all the super serious, lore heavy lines nowadays.
i really like this skin line i just wish they added the other original characters from the gothic skin line like amumu and orianna and not just annie or maybe updating orianna's gothic skin to be how it is on wild rift or maybe even have added gwen so that she could have one creepy skin in her catalog
My guess is maybe Amumu was skipped over since he already got Pumpkin Prince earlier, which is a Halloween skin yea but it does still have some gothic elements to it. I agree with you on Gwen though, she would been a great addition. She's a perfect fit for the creepy doll theme.

Frght night annie looks a bit like willow from dst and wednesday of course, but it is very funny the similarities between the skin and willow specially since yknow both have a teddy bear that becomes a massive monster and mess with fire lol
I mean both have the fire&teddy bears thing going on so putting Annie in a skinline that like Don't starve has the whole sorta wriggling charcoal lines (not sure what to call it) thing going on will make Annie look more like Willow by default. I do wonder if fright night Annie's pigtails are an intentional reference to Willow though or if this is just a coincidence.
I love the skins, but tbh like a lot of other people apparently, I expected smth else under gothic, I just hope this won't keep riot from making other skins in a different gothic genre :>

While I fell into the camp of expecting something different (I was thinking more Victorian Gothic with more corsets and bloodborne-esque styling instead of Urban Gothic), seeing the skins, I like them a lot. Especially since the splash arts really don't do the skins textures justice, and seeing them in motion made me adore them.
It was definitely a shock that this was the direction they went with gothic but I don’t see how you can’t love it. The only sad thing is that none of my mains got one(even though they haven’t been missing out)
Fright Night Draven just needs the Hyena Warwick treatment of some additional laughing (literal chainsaw psycho) and the chainsaw noises and it'll easily become one of his best

I'm hoping with a revamped Gothic skinline when they return to this they'll explore different styles of Gothic, of course I'd love new Fright Night but as you said theres just so many different styles to the "gothic" aesthetic seeing Riot put their spin on something ridiculous like Cyber Goth would just be hilarious IMO. 10/10 revamp
I adore the fact that urgot's legs in this skins are very similar to old urgot's legs. This skinline is fantastic and a great departure from the million of mecha inspired skins there were in the recent months. I hope it stays, so many champions are a perfect fit for this! Imagine a FN gwen going fully into the creepy doll aesthethic, a FN vex with shadow having those sketchy effects or a FN bel veth pretending to be an ugly witch. Heck, a lot of monster champions would be heavily benefited with this skinline!
I’m so glad that someone finally said it. Goth has various types and Tim Burton IS goth. I feel like people were looking for punk goth instead but these are beautiful and in my opinion, better. I should also mention that the genre is something I’ve been in since middle school if not longer, and it made me genuinely happy seeing these skins.
This skin line is cool and all but DAMN the quality editing, voice work, and humour of these vids is the best. NickyBoi channel gets a 11.5 out of ten :)
This skin line is SO GOOD imo. Urgot is just Oogie-Boogie but still one of my favorite skin designs. Renata's looks great in my opinion. Draven and Nautilus are very cool too The only one I'm not a huge fan of is Trundle but I still think it looks good and fits him well.
I think people who complain about “now give us actual gothic skins!” have absolutely no idea about what Gothic actually is; let alone knowing how diverse, broad and old it is and where it takes it’s roots from. I’m suspecting these people ONLY think about sexy girls in dark, frilly dresses with make-up; when you say “Gothic.” Also almost everything Tim Burton does, is filled to the brim with Gothic imagery. That man’s work literally revels in Goth. A perfect media example of 50s to 2000s Gothic aesthetic A skin line that looks like it’s straight out of Burton’s work is a very delightful, true-to-its-tone take on Gothic. And infinitely better than “another skinline with just pretty dresses” with the twist of “but these dresses are dark in colour!”
Loveeee this skin line! Very cool concepts and I love all the homages, I do kinda wish that we had more Gothic skins, specifically for bright and cheery characters like Neeko, Lux (I know she has a lot of skins but still), or even Rammus!
Honestly one of the best skin lines I have ever seen, and some even hold up the the 19th century gothic of light and airy as seen in the architecture at the time.
One thing that fright night skin revealed is that, on twitter, generally when a skin line releases, artists give their on rendition of their favorite champion on this skinline, and almost every fan concept is just Renata suit on someone else, i remember that i saw one for Zyra and it was just Renata suit with blood tentacles, the blood part is cool and could lead to a Carrie/Corpse Bridge Zyra, but people just want their best concept of a skin line on their favorite champion instead of something new and creative
i wasnt playing much league in october/november so i missed this skin line almost entirely but DAMN i love the way they look, especially trundle's super sketchy feel, it adds a whole new LIFE to the champ

i think the problem is riot announced it as an update for the old skins, not as making new skins with a similar tematic, like people expected the old gothic annie that looks like shit to be renewed

It happens to every new creative idea that Riot does, League players constantly complain about every patch coming out and keep bringing up season 3-4 they do not like changes at all. There's a reason skinlines where x champion wears a different outfit usually sells best and Riot keep pumping out 15 of them every year, any creativity is wasted on 90% of League player base
Such a good skin line, so happy that Tibbers is in a good amount of recalls lol. I would love to Fiddlesticks skin. Maybe to look like slenderman or something new.
i ADORE these skins and am really considering just buying the full lot of em even though i don't play half these champs. just because they're SO GOOD that like. if i EVER play any of the ones i don't play i want it to be with these incredible skins (and i'd be voting with my dollar for riot to make more of them, ya know?)
This skin line is absolutely amazing. I actually had no clue until this video that they were supposed to be the revamp to the gothic skin line. I really hope it's something that continues and isn't just a 1 time thing to just make a new gothic skinline. I sadly barely play any of the champs in this skinline and would love it to go on long enough that one of my favorite champs does get a skin here. I absolutely adore everything about the skinline :)
I love these skins so even if they arent the halloween skins, they work for Halloween. Additionally bewitching is awesome. Its cute goofy spooky fun and mixed in with the count skins and other random traditional halloween color and design skins. Tristana, mf, poppy, yuumi and syndra being the best ones.
unbelievable to me that anyone would complain about some of the most visually unique skins we've seen in *a while.* I'm definitely picking up that Annie skin when these release
I feel like trundle is actually a great fit here instead of Warwick. Because here trundle looks like the campy b movie interpretation of a werewolf as opposed to the anthropomorphic wolf interpretation of a werewolf that we’re all used to.
Nautilus skin is peak character design. The best compliment I can give to a skin is when "this skin makes me want to play the champion" and holy shit Nautilus is so good.
I think Riot should do more concepts like this rather than revisit old skin lines, it seems that when the design team has full creative control of what's coming rather than fitting into a mold crafted in the past, they make absolute banger skin lines (Fright Night vs Star Guardian [Tho tbf Akali was a bussin Star Guardian but it still felt like the rest of the skins had to fit a mold])
The most excited I've been about a skinline in a long, long time. I think these are genius and I'd love to see them return to it. Off the top of my head Jhin and Mundo sound like cool additions. Seems like the possibilities are endless.
I too was expecting goth/emo skins but this blew me out of the water and was better than I couldve ever imagined. I would take these any day. In my opinion one of the best skinlines to date.
That's crazy how the reaction is mixed on these. I also think the skinline is one of the best we've had in years and I'm one of those people who don't really mind the more gacha-like skins such as Cafe Cuties most of the time.
Its a really cool skinline but this is just like a completley new skinline, it just doesnt really fit gothic to me. If we got both id be happy but if this is the full gothic revamp im not gonna be happy

This has to be. One of if not my most favorite skin line in this whole game. If not all games if I’m being frank. Every year has been pretty lack luster for Halloween skins and I always felt like they can do more. But this skin line truly did so much for me. Reminds me of animated Halloween movies with multiple references to horror in general. It is pretty gothic but I see why some people don’t like it but honestly. I much rather prefer this skin line over a gothic one anyway. Also. To be honest. Who the fuck even used the goth skin anyway. In my 4-5 years of playing I haven’t seen that skin used or even mentioned.
They’d have to kill it with Vex’s cause if not, it would just be a chroma of her base skin. That’s why I’m against a full goth Vex skin, you can’t guarantee it wouldn’t look similar to her base skin. As a Vex main, the last thing I want is a skin that looks just like her base skin. But at the same time we have Dawnbringer, so I shouldn’t be complaining. I think Gwen would be perfect though as she is legit a doll. They can do so much stuff for a creepy skin for her. Give her the button eyes, a scuff patch on her arm or leg, stitched mouth. Stuff like that. Let’s just hope the actual Halloween skins are as creative as these ones and not just “big boob witch mommy.”
I absolutely love these! I'm literally so sick to death of the repetitive skinlines we usually get. The Fright Night skins line up with Space Groove for some of my favourite skin lines of all time - when Riot actually lets their team DO SOMETHING INTERESTING!! Gorgeous designs, fantastic styling, awesome effects. Nailed on all fronts.
The trundle skin is a teen wolf reference not a wolf among us. The pizza eating, and the varsity jacket he has on shows that. Plus I think his flavor text mentions it.
I was pleasantly surprised with this skinline I was 100% expecting them to simply re do oriana, annie and amumu and then simply do emo boys and thic gothic gf, instead we got easily the best skinline of the year
I really hope that next fright night we get a Fright Night Gwen. I think she would do great with a horror inspired skin and her dress in the style of fright night would be fantastic

I think people were expecting more of an emo/punk kinda look like Emumu. But this is way better IMO
People were expecting like a "Bloodborne, Jack the Ripper and Vampire Hunter Old Europe" kind of gothic.

In the final version of Draven they added a lot more chainsaw sound effecrs, so now it's 10/10

One thing that fright night skin revealed is that, on twitter, generally when a skin line releases, artists give their on rendition of their favorite champion on this skinline, and almost every fan concept is just Renata suit on someone else, i remember that i saw one for Zyra and it was just Renata suit with blood tentacles, the blood part is cool and could lead to a Carrie/Corpse Bridge Zyra, but people just want their best concept of a skin line on their favorite champion instead of something new and creative

i wasnt playing much league in october/november so i missed this skin line almost entirely but DAMN i love the way they look, especially trundle's super sketchy feel, it adds a whole new LIFE to the champ
They also went so hard on these skins, I have a weak spot for spooky stuff so this skinline is AMAZING

i think the problem is riot announced it as an update for the old skins, not as making new skins with a similar tematic, like people expected the old gothic annie that looks like shit to be renewed
@@pasta1998 Did not get that impression literally all all... Literally said it was going to be a reimagining of the skinline to bring new life to it... Thus they did, very unique and fresh take that falls into the gothic theme.
It happens to every new creative idea that Riot does, League players constantly complain about every patch coming out and keep bringing up season 3-4 they do not like changes at all. There's a reason skinlines where x champion wears a different outfit usually sells best and Riot keep pumping out 15 of them every year, any creativity is wasted on 90% of League player base

This skin line is absolutely amazing. I actually had no clue until this video that they were supposed to be the revamp to the gothic skin line. I really hope it's something that continues and isn't just a 1 time thing to just make a new gothic skinline. I sadly barely play any of the champs in this skinline and would love it to go on long enough that one of my favorite champs does get a skin here. I absolutely adore everything about the skinline :)
This skin line is defiantly based Tim Burtons work, such as a nightmare before Christmas and Beetlejuice and I love it!
I love these skins so even if they arent the halloween skins, they work for Halloween. Additionally bewitching is awesome. Its cute goofy spooky fun and mixed in with the count skins and other random traditional halloween color and design skins. Tristana, mf, poppy, yuumi and syndra being the best ones.

I feel like trundle is actually a great fit here instead of Warwick. Because here trundle looks like the campy b movie interpretation of a werewolf as opposed to the anthropomorphic wolf interpretation of a werewolf that we’re all used to.
Nautilus skin is peak character design. The best compliment I can give to a skin is when "this skin makes me want to play the champion" and holy shit Nautilus is so good.

I think Riot should do more concepts like this rather than revisit old skin lines, it seems that when the design team has full creative control of what's coming rather than fitting into a mold crafted in the past, they make absolute banger skin lines (Fright Night vs Star Guardian [Tho tbf Akali was a bussin Star Guardian but it still felt like the rest of the skins had to fit a mold])
The most excited I've been about a skinline in a long, long time. I think these are genius and I'd love to see them return to it. Off the top of my head Jhin and Mundo sound like cool additions. Seems like the possibilities are endless.
While I was hoping for some Victorian Era Romantic Gothic skins, I absolutely love these!!! The skins team really outdid themselves with these!

I too was expecting goth/emo skins but this blew me out of the water and was better than I couldve ever imagined. I would take these any day. In my opinion one of the best skinlines to date.

That's crazy how the reaction is mixed on these. I also think the skinline is one of the best we've had in years and I'm one of those people who don't really mind the more gacha-like skins such as Cafe Cuties most of the time.
Its a really cool skinline but this is just like a completley new skinline, it just doesnt really fit gothic to me. If we got both id be happy but if this is the full gothic revamp im not gonna be happy

This has to be. One of if not my most favorite skin line in this whole game. If not all games if I’m being frank. Every year has been pretty lack luster for Halloween skins and I always felt like they can do more. But this skin line truly did so much for me. Reminds me of animated Halloween movies with multiple references to horror in general. It is pretty gothic but I see why some people don’t like it but honestly. I much rather prefer this skin line over a gothic one anyway. Also. To be honest. Who the fuck even used the goth skin anyway. In my 4-5 years of playing I haven’t seen that skin used or even mentioned.

I love Fright Night, I just wish Gwen and Vex got ones cause it is perfect for them
They’d have to kill it with Vex’s cause if not, it would just be a chroma of her base skin. That’s why I’m against a full goth Vex skin, you can’t guarantee it wouldn’t look similar to her base skin. As a Vex main, the last thing I want is a skin that looks just like her base skin. But at the same time we have Dawnbringer, so I shouldn’t be complaining. I think Gwen would be perfect though as she is legit a doll. They can do so much stuff for a creepy skin for her. Give her the button eyes, a scuff patch on her arm or leg, stitched mouth. Stuff like that. Let’s just hope the actual Halloween skins are as creative as these ones and not just “big boob witch mommy.”

I absolutely love these! I'm literally so sick to death of the repetitive skinlines we usually get. The Fright Night skins line up with Space Groove for some of my favourite skin lines of all time - when Riot actually lets their team DO SOMETHING INTERESTING!!

I was pleasantly surprised with this skinline I was 100% expecting them to simply re do oriana, annie and amumu and then simply do emo boys and thic gothic gf, instead we got easily the best skinline of the year
