Pro Tip: The trackpad has a sticker on it, peel it off for better input :)
Absolutely and its a real sucker. I swore i didnt have another plastic on there. I finally got brave with my ifixit kit and went for it. Be damned if there wasnt a second plastic in mine under the first i had removed lol. Stuck like a crazy
@@GameTechPlanetit took me at least 10 tries to get my fingernail under that sticker to peel it and the only reason I knew it was there was from the subreddit. I've seen plenty of reviews with the sticker still in place.
The sticker doesn’t bother me nor interferes with input!

Good tips. I just found the quick menu. Couldn’t connect my Xbox controller till I realized I had to deactivate the joycons. Worked great after that.

What's the main store you guys use for buying/downloading games for this system??
I'd actually be playing older games on it. Point n clicks, Might and Magic, Lands of Lore, Redneck Rampage, Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, lots of good stuff. Once you can actually map the buttons to various keyboard keys when in FPS mode I'm in. Lots of those old games didn't let you change the input options. (or I could just buy a BT keyboard lol)
I hear that older games and dx8 dont run well because the screen is portrait

The fan noise it sucks
The tdp not staying at whatever you put it on manually
Not being able to setup custom profiles per game it's so lame I have to change to tdp per game every time as opposed to just giving each it's on profile
The button mapping it's crazy to think lenevo makes you tap the button twice just to get to the useful menu
When the ally came out I think it had similar issues as well though not as bad but everything I mentioned has been fixed on thr ally I hope the legion fixes these issues otherwise I'm gonna take it back
Yea it’s definitely a messy boy on launch week lol. Im sure its all gonna get foxed up pmus all the features added. But i do wish these handhelds would launch in better shape. It turns off the mainstream consumer who doesn’t fix and tinker

Thx for the video. I didn’t quite understand the purpose of changing the vram in the bios . Could someone explain please ?
This can be very game dependent. For instance a game like gta5 typically needs 1g or higher to launch, alan wake 2 needs auto or something less than 1g to launch. Some games run much better with 4g of vram vs 1 or 2. And so on. One day if they give us 32GB of ram we can just set to 8g vram ram and leave it lol.
How do you get the left quick menu. I can't seem to find the shortcut. Please help.
Would you like to tell us what bios means what’s the difference and what does it do? I put mine on 6 but I have no idea what that means. I just need the best framerate. I try to play my games at 720 resolution so I can get good frame rate.
I’m really struggling with gaming on windows. I seem to get the most success out of games that were downloaded with the Xbox app. Games that were just natively, downloaded, seem to be confused and open and small windows, or they don’t realize I’m using a controller. I was really excited to play monster hunter stories, 2, because the frame rate struggles on switch. But when I booted up the game on the Legion go, the interface is just so hard to deal with with the trackpad. And the keyboard never wants to pop up on the screen so I have to always use the shortcut for it. Even then, sometimes it doesn’t know what field I’m supposed to be typing in. I think I might just go buy a physical keyboard Just to make life easier for playing on the TV. It’s interesting is for monster hunter, I go into the settings, and I have to click on input option, and when I click on controller, it’s not like the other games where it will just start using my controller. It’s like it wants me to choose what every single button does instead of just a preset. And I mean we are talking about Capcom here a huge company. so it’s really a struggle because every game has its own jank going on.
What is your robocop game settings? It's difficult to run it that smooth at max settings
What software do u use for the fps stats and battery estimated time. Also has anyone had the estimated just not work or display anymore and if so what cna u do to fix it?.

Can I set it where the Legion button does not open the launcher? I hate that launcher, and I only ever pressed that button by accident. I can always just open up the program if I want.
I don't think you can. I was experimenting on controller macros in that legion space launcher and I couldn't change those buttons. I was able to set up game recording with key combinations on the back (windows key + alt + r) though the one for previous 30 seconds, win alt g, didn't work for me.
Also is kinda weird that RB and M1 are linked and can't be edited separately with M1 not showing in controller settings there.
Right shortcut button does show battery life, which I feel dark mode and some performance stuff helps increase.

Does anyone know how to turn off the keyboard from xbox? Everytime I'm gaming and press LS to much this xbox keyboard comes up and minimalise the game back to desktop.
My AMD won't download like what you are showing. Is there something you did to get the AMD adrenaline? When i got to the site it keeps trying to download AMD Chipset but doesn't give me the full AMD center?
Update your driver from the legion go support site. I show how in my tips video. Then use Microsoft store app to update amd adrenaline

The high dead zones in the legion go are atrocious. I have not been able to play fps games at all because the joysticks are so bouncy! In the intro of your video I could see how you were moving the joysticks and the aim would not budge until you got to a certain point and it was hard for you to aim. I returned my ally because of this and now I want to go back to it because I see that they have fixed it. Hopefully Lenovo gets deadzone settings for us as well or else it’s going to be a deal breaker for me and most likely a return
These rly got me today testing Motorsport. They have a fix for that listed coming in the Nov 10 Space update 🤞

It’s wild that I can only get the built ins to work only if first sync my Xbox controller and then PS5. Then none of those controllers work but the built in ones work as long as the Xbox controller is on.

All of these little software issues will be patched and polished by the end of the first year, all major issues will be patched within the first 2 to 6 months more than likely. I'm so excited for mine to come in the mail. Such a cool system.

Ok new issue, I took my micro sd from my steamdeck and put it in the legion. Nothing is working, not even registering thats it in. Any help? Or a link to a good micro that works
The format used on steamos doesn’t work on windows. U will need to use disk management in windows or a another program to clear the current format and reformat for windows with ntfs. Keeping in mind this will delete everything on your sd card
Do you have to change the vram? Also doesn't it automatically update like other consoles?
You dont have to. But some games may require certain minimums. Or some games evem wont run without auto and so on. So the more options with these shared memory setups the better.

Just press the legion space button. It toggles u between space and desktop
Can anyone tell me why my legion go screen stays on after being connected with cabel to the tv , I thought it turns off or do I have to change some settings 🤔 can't be right both screens are running
When connected go into windows display settings and instead of duplicating the display pick “ show only on 2 or external “ then set desired resolution and framerate for display 2. This will also help woth game performance since your not wasting resources running and rendering two screens

Is it safe to change vram in bios ?
Absolutely we change it often depending what we need. Tho 4gb i use most the time and 6gb sometimes. Nothing else to often
HELP!!! Does anyone know how to enable the microphone on this thing for voice chat during multiplayer games??? This is driving me crazy.

@@smhnoname2145 I ended up having to enable it through the game settings instead of the device. I had the ROG Ally prior to the Legion Go, and it had a quick menu on the device that toggled the mic on and off. Hopefully Lenovo will update it in the future.

@@smhnoname2145 The mic isn’t too bad. I bought the Go when it first came out. I noticed that after several firmware updates, it seemed to be even better. It does a pretty decent job of blocking out reasonable background noise.

If its not formatted it may not just show up. Will keed to ise disk manager in wondoes or other software to format sd card. Typically to NTFS.

@@Womens_Division steam deck sd card format doesn’t work for windows. Go to windows search and look for “ create and format hard disk “ u will see it in settings. Should he able to see ur sd card and reformat there.

Thank you for tips. I just got my LeGo. Have updated all the drivers. When I trie to start AMD Adrenalin SW i get a warning message telling me this: "Windows Update may have automatically replaced your AMD Graphics driver. Hence the version of AMD Software you have lauched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD Graphics driver". And there is a link to AMD to solve this issue. When I follow that link I end up at "AMD Software Compatabillity Tool". It tells me to run this to automatically find a compatible AMD Software version for det currently installed AMD graphics driver. When I run it, it tells me that there is no AMD Software application installed. WFT! 😂😂
Yea u cant use AMD official drivers and help. You only need to ise the updated drivers from the legion go site. After installing the gpu driver restart the legion go. Then go into Microsoft store and it will update adrenaline so it matches the driver adnd works. Never had issue so far.

Yea. The new ones on site are much better than the july ones but they are still sept drivers. At least i can actually get into testing games now tho. Its much improved
