Been training with Bodysthenics for 3 months now and I can totally see the progress and improvments - if you're thinking about, just give it a go - You won't regret it!!
this video is what i was looking for, the best tutorial out there, so well explained and you guys helped me increase holds and reps drastically, thanks you so much bro ❤💪🏽
Great explanation! I always breath during my exercises but I knew I was doing something wrong. My mistake was that I completely threw all of my air while starting the concentric part of the exercise instead of doing a single powerful exhale while going up, that now I see that is a more natural way to do it. Lots of thanks, I hope that my endurance will get a lot better from now on
@@Bodysthenics SirI turn 50 this week any tips for breathe work and walking and do lunges or other exercise while walking? Want to get better on breathing. Thank you.
Actually, this is not totally correct. This may be a good technique if you working on explosiveness... Also you wouldn't feel your point of weakness since the tempo is relatively fast. Using a slow tempo, you will quickly see your weakness. Taking a basic pushup for example, try taking a long and deep inhale while going down (eccentric portion) slowly. You'll find it hard to maintain good posture and mind muscle connection and you'll start feeling some tension and difficulty inhaling. Now try doing the eccentric portion while exhaling deep and slow. See how easier that was ? Exhaling during concentric phase is only true during free weight isolation exercises. Which do not necessarily require energy from your respiratory system (aerobic requirements), but instead require anaerobic energy already present in your muscles. Bodyweight training is a different story. There is not one body weight exercise that you will do that do not involve your entire body including your respiratory system. The moment you use your body as resistance, every single one of your systems light up. In a bicep curl for example (which is an isolation exercise), everything your arm needs for that movement already resides within that arm's musculature only waiting for your brain to signal the movement. It's a different story for squats where all your muscles are involved even tho you primarily workout your legs and glutes. Therefore, for bodyweight and compound lifts, you actually want to exhale during the difficult phase of the exercise, which changes depending on the exercise. For pushup, the difficult phase is the eccentric portion (going down). For pullups, the difficult phase is the concentric part (going up). So yeah, exhale during difficult phase and inhale during easier phase. Good Luck buddy ;)
This video will help a lot of athletes! its a common mistake that a lot of people do. valuable and informative!

Doing push ups and breathing so much, won't that slowly give you a headache?
That Guy the opposite is true . Holding your breathe in and not breathing will give you a headache ✅
@@Bodysthenics I mean yes, obviously. But just slowly breathing maybe would be better or just keeping it at one level pace that isn't too fast?
That Guy you must breathe at the pace in which you wish to perform the reps ✅
