A small 5.56 / 300blk / 6max size and then a 7.62 / 6.5cm / 8.6blk size would be cool. But moreso for size and weight and getting rid of the magazine insert rather than gas system length, which would be more barrel length dependant.
Its not necessary. 7.4 pounds is a competitive weight for a short stroke piston 556 rifle.
