Update: The leaf did not survive I asked multiple Nurseries on Instagram and they said it would not survive. 😢 I have bought 3 more Queens since this one I am obsessed with them. 😂 I am now potting up in plastic pots using Molly’s Aroid Mix, Tree Fern Fiber and my Bonsai Jack Grit Mix. The Anthuriums and Alocasia’s love it and so do I. Love seeing the roots and ensuring the water makes it everywhere. Thank you for watching my videos!

I am pretty sure (Leal) seller on Walmart is actually Equagenera. Sounds like your Queen may have come from their California vs Florida facility. Guessing that because you mentioned staples. I order from Florida and they have never used staples. Made me sick too about that leaf! Im 69 years old and have received some horribly packaged plants. Equagenera usually packs well. They can pack well, but if they are thrown around and used for football practice that doesnt help. You do have a beautiful plant even with 1 leaf. I bought my first Queen a week ago. Havent repotted her yet. Debating on sphagnum, a chunky aroid mix or possibly Pon. Good luck with that beauty.

Leal Plants also is a seller for Amazon and I’m sure more. I have bought from Ecuagenera USA and their packaging is not the same as Leals. I have a future video when buying another plant from Leals and Ecuagenera USA and they’re totally different.
My heart was broken for many weeks. I have Shorts on that plant she’s still beautiful! A new leaf pushed out and it’s gorgeous.
I’ve bought numerous queens in search of that same size and leaf and they just don’t exist sadly.
I don’t use moss in anything simply for the fact I don’t like how it can dry and make your roots stick in it. I’m using Molly’s Aroid mix, Tree Fern and mix in some Bonsai Jack mix. They seem to like it but have to be careful they need lots of air flow.
Thank you for watching another video!

That was so sad to see that gorgeous leaf come off. Unfortunately without a node the leaf will not survive. I’ve seen people make gorgeous art out of anthurium leaves. Those boxes you have are super neat. Look up skeleton leaf art if you have never seen it. It’s soooo cool! 😎 good luck with your new baby. My queen has been easy peasy despite the reputation of them being fussy. I hope she grows amazing for you!

Thank you so much for watching! When I watched it again it brought back all the sadness I had then. That beautiful plant is just now sprouting a new leaf for me. I love her so much I don’t find them fussy at all!
I actually watched a video on Skelton leaves. I just wish I would have seen it back when it broke I would have done it for sure it was so beautiful!

Queen's are one of the most difficult anthuriums to keep alive they like lots of humidity and are finicky as heck I have 6 lol they are epiphytic so tree fern or a really barky mix works but I've had the most successful with just sphagnum and perlite and going total soilless I potted my most recent in pon because every seems to have the best luck with that.

A fellow lover of the Queens !! They truly fascinate me. So far I haven’t found them finicky and I hope that continues. Thank you so much for watching and for commenting!!!
