Question. Had she properly dealt with the damage to the small truck before she tried to leave the parking lot or not? Hitting the rock and truck and getting stuck trying to get out are all mistakes, possibly avoidable, but still mistakes. Driving off and leaving that small truck damaged without properly dealing with it is something else.

Not crazy at all. Also his professionalism is quite inspiring. There's too many workers with relaxed standards that aren't safe or professional, not just in the towing industry either. Just one of the many reasons why I've been watching this man for years :).

Getting her back onto the road does require more than pulling the tractor out of the landscaping. Thanks for showing us a complete, professional job, Ron.
I'm amazed. He told her exactly what to do, and the tires never touched a curb. I guess when you pull a semi-truck and trailer with that long rotator, you get a feel for how it all works. That surgical precision is amazing.
Having a spotter is like hitting a Goldmine jackpot. And people should never forget we all start somewhere so don't be hard on her because I have a feeling it was also dark when she did got herself stuck. It's one thing I love with earning a Germany driver license where you pay $3000 for it but also are mandated to drive , City, Interstate, Daytime, Night time and Highway for a total of 40h where you learn how a tandem rig or box trailer works. Just as a Car driver put yourself into your shoes with your car and add a trailer which is 25' long it will give you a feeling how a big rig is been operated. We all have to start at zero and good for her she stopped when she got stuck lightly and didn't dig herself in deeper. Thank you again Ron for this nice video.
I go out of my way to help truckers do their thing, on the road and otherwise.. especially those monster interstate rigs that have no business in tight spaces. Once found a huge rig similar to this one pinned in a precarious L turn in the back of a Costco lot. The only way out was a reversing three point turn down a car parking lane, then back out the way he came.. cars all over the place, trees on the islands.. he was stuck in there for sure. I've never driven a big rig outside my workplace dock doors, mule work.. but I mastered trailer maneuvering while still a teenager, boats and such. I stayed there with that man for hours helping him back around that store as a ground spotter.. made my day :-)
Very impressed that when you told her to cut hard right, her LH front wheel ended up within a couple of inches from the kerb. Spot on estimating the angle of turn that was available.
Maybe not as dramatic as some of your videos but an epic heartwarming display of kindness and compassion for someone having a seriously bad day. And we all have them. You put your faith and trust in her, winching her back and trusting she would break and not roll into the back of your truck, then going under to release the slidey thing (can you tell I'm not a truck driver lol) and finally helping her to get clear. She must have felt wretched by the time you arrived, confidence lost, doubting her own ability, feeling guilty and stupid, possibly incapable of a single positive thought. She probably got some grief from the property curator and owner of the truck, can't really blame them, you would get angry at someone tearing up your yard and smacking your vehicle. But your actions probably gave back some of her confidence, allowed her to say "I can do it", and to put this experience down to one of those "everything that could go wrong did go wrong" moments which, thankfully, are usually pretty rare. Thank you to the lady for being human and thank you Ron for showing us how to be part of the solution not part of the problem. Take care, and be safe. Poo
After almost 30 years of driving, one of the earliest lessons I learned was. Never try to take a truck into a parking lot that's not meant for trucks. This is one of the number one reasons, so many drivers get themselves in trouble. They want to go to a local restaurant or a shopping center..etc.. just stick to places that are meant for trucks to park and you will have a lot less problems
Robert from Texas I agree! And there are a few parking lots that the design engineer should have drove truck for 20 years before designing them for trucks. We have a couple around me that makes me shake my head when I have to pull in them.
Tell me when you start finding more places meant for trucks. I haul cars and have to go into lots that aren’t meant for trucks or park at hotels that don’t have truck parking. Truckers are not accommodated as you would believe. It’s a mistake and it happens but until you do this job be slow to judge
You are truly a kind and helpful person! Regardless of her driving experience, your willingness to help and be patient, professional, and courteous is why I keep looking forward to more videos. Driving a truck is no easy task, now factor in towing, videoing, and narrating, you’re a superstar!!!!
My line: “that didn’t quite work out”...it’s a well used line 😁. Better the landscaping get injured than a person! You show people how to treat others. I agree, why make their bad day worse!
Jerry Plante I cant really recall the last time we had to look through a dirty window in Ron’s videos. He usually has them spotless, or it seems that way!
This was a new driver learning a hard lesson. She listened and followed directions. From this lesson she learned more because you were patient and mentored her in a tough time. She will remember this and become a better driver in the future.
Another good rescue, I used to be an instructor and seen many students make mistakes like she did. Thankfully it wasn’t a major one and hopefully she learned a valuable lesson for the next situation. Thanks for another great video god bless you and your crews and stay safe out there
I remember my first year on the road was a mess. Handling a rig is a skill that needs honed. Once I learned mine in the real world everything came a lot easier.
Ron, you are a gentleman. I have read your posting and will avoid writing what I might otherwise. Suffice to say, it worries me that this driver is behind the wheel of a Class 8 truck with 53 ft trailer and GVW of 80,000 lb. I truly question the driver's judgment and driving skills. It is one thing to be forgiving and stay positive. But at the same time one cannot ignore what is obvious here. My sincere concern is not about damage to landscaping in a hotel parking lot but to the other potential troubling issues I see. You're a kind person, and I'm sure some of what I'm saying you have thought yourself.
Yes, but trying to make a u-turn on private property that one has no other business with, crashing into a parked pickup truck, and completely overrunning into the landscaping is enough "mistake" that she probably needs a different career path to ensure that she never makes that mistake again.
@@TWX1138 making a u-turn on a "private" parking lot happens way more often than you think, what does that matter? and i don't know many people who went their whole career without fucking up, even more, a lot of drivers i know have hit something at least twice. that doesn't mean they're bad drivers because they've been driving for 20 years
So true! I hate pulling off the big road to get something good to eat and can’t find somewhere to park. I tell myself, “Self you didn’t need that anyway”. Self always agrees and we get on down the road.
And if you knew the area surrounding that particular white castle, it's a royal pain to get to in a regular car. I avoided it like the plague because of the crazy intersection (and crazy drivers,in cars)
Ron, thank you for another great video! I hope the woman got safely to her next stop and didn't take this minor incident too hard. We all make mistakes! Also I learned a lot from this video... didn't know that the rear axels slid forward! Thanks for all you do and stay safe.
Thanks for putting your comments up for a longer time, it helps us old folks that read slow to catch them. Love your Christian ❤️ attitude, we need more people in this world like you!!!
Makes me happy to see someone using their horn before backing up. So many so-called professional drivers seem to think it is to much hassle or to difficult to do. Keep up the professionalism and stay safe
Ron, you just amazing! Not only you pulled her back but became a traffic cop, helping her get out! You just taught me something on the tandem repositioning! I have never seen it before! Keep up your good work. Stay safe!
Sounds like it was a cut scene from Harold and Kumar go to White Castle haha just kidding. People do make mistakes and sometimes just wrong decisions, we are all human. Ron we need more people like you in this world. God bless
Cut her some slack...... The officer said shes only been driving for about a year. It's not exactly easy to drive an 18 wheeler! I know I couldn't do it!
She’s human, incidents like these are a good learning experience, especially for those with little experience, hopefully this will help her in the future
@@jennysthriftedtreasures362 I drive an 18-wheeler for a living and one year is enough to know that you should not do maneuvers like that. You are right to say that not everybody can drive a truck unfortunately the driver in this is one of those drivers who shouldn't be driving a truck she thought it was okay to drive over Landscaping to get out of a parking lot that her truck should have never been in in the first place. A lack of good judgment well operating an 18-wheeler one time could cost someone their life
yannis gouras I’ve driven heavy wreckers for over 30 years and I’ve rescued them all..young old, experienced, company drivers, owner operators. If you’ve never made a mistake I will call you a liar..and adding your dramatic statement about costing someone there lives from simply getting stuck is stupid you are what’s wrong with the trucking industry and yes even tow trucks and yes I’ve made mistakes
Some judging like they are professionals and they don’t even know how to turn on a big rig. This is no easy task. She is already braver than most just due to the fact of getting on that driver seat. Everyone makes mistakes, but the good thing about them is that they are good lessons. So stop judging and give some respect. She is out breaking her back while you’re at home scratching ass.
I watch your videos all the time and love the way you not only do your job as a heavy tow operator, but you also take the time to help drivers or those in need. I've been driving trucks for over 20 years and recently obtained my instructors license to be a CDL Class A/B instructor. I wish there were a lot more nice considerate people like you. I'm the same way to go out of my way, sometimes my job duties to give that extra helping hand that makes a difference and can go along way. Kudos to you Mr. Pratt.
I had something similar happen to me when I was at 7 years driving. The secondary driveshaft that connects the front set of rear axles to the second set of rear axles shattered. I could still drive but I lost most of my power so I only had power to like, one side of one axle. I had a repair place close by but I decided to stay in a hotel room for the day because it was like, noon on a Sunday and they wouldn't be open until the following morning. The hotel had a large dirt lot next door and I called to ask if I could park in there and they said yea, semi's park in there all the time. Cool. Well, when I went to get in because I had lost most of my drive power I got stuck. No damage to anything but I was half in the roadway. I found some dude in an f350 utility truck and we just threw a chain to my DOT bumper and he yoinked me out real quick. Luckily I was empty!
I have property in an urban area. About every couple of weeks something is torn up or damaged. The security cameras always show what happened and it's usually a "hit and run" from a truck or trailer. Yeah, I know, it's just property damage and nobody gets hurt. Still, someone has to pay for the repair. I've seen two occasions where the driver has pro-actively stepped up and asked how to make it right. In those cases, our response is always "don't worry about it. Thanks for letting us know." But if we have to contact the company, the tone of conversation is a bit different.
That’s just as bad, if the driver is willing to pay for it and you tell him don’t worry about it but then call his company your just as bad. Let the driver pay the cost of his willing to.
@@kingtriptrucking7167 They're talking about calling the company on the ones who just take off without saying anything. Not the ones who come and let them know what happened.
3:18 You can see the tire marks where he turned there. 7:00 That's a thing of beauty. :-) That was a pretty easy job. Well done, Ron. Stay safe, stay healthy and God bless. :-)
Sometimes it can just take a small mistake to mess up ones day. While tearing up property is never a good thing, she got off fairly easy considering the circumstances. I hope she chocks it up to a learning curve, and I can guarantee you she's probably going to be very cautious from here on out! Good job as always, Ron! Stay safe and watch your six!
Man if she had a KWt880 this would never happened. Ron you are the best!! Im a rookie and watch these to learn what not to do. Thank you for sharing, and god bless this girl, trucking is rough sometimes but she listened and did a great job. Love and respect to Ron and all the truckers out there
As always, outstanding work from an outstanding man. That's you Ron and I hope you kindness towards these drivers will always be. Most tow truck drivers I have dealt with are ass holes. Not all, but most. If you were ever in need and I could help I would for sure . Blessings to you and your family always. Thank You Jason from Nebraska
Ron as an ex lorry driver in the UK l sympathise with her when your day goes bad it goes bad you just do your best the next day great job in helping her at least she listened to your advice take care in these horrible days.
As you said, the lady actually listened to Ron - a great way to learn. All too often, advice is ignored and "I got it from here" just leads to more mayhem. I hope the driver was as quick with her thanks as Ron was with his advice.
Hello Ron, a great video as always. You showed your true professionalism by giving clear instructions about the extraction and getting the rig back on the highway. You made no comment about how the driver got themselves into that situation. Well done Ron. Keep up the good fight and the world will be a better place. Thanks for sharing and stay safe 😷.
Ron, I just love how you go to what is needed and not stumpping around trying to find what you need. Great job. If I had the money, I would send for you around the world to pull me an inch.
FIRST! As a truck driver I will say we all make mistakes but this one was just a result of being absolutely careless and not thinking about what you're doing
Sometimes the mistakes like these end up being the best lessons to learn. I always enjoy watching how you handle all of these situations, keep up the great work!
Ron your patience and kinds is so rare it’s awesome. As I said before my brother drove 18 wheeler his whole life thank God he never needed a tow truck just rode side for tires. I saw him put a truck where a mouse wouldn’t crawl.
I love this guy and his behavior is attitude and his faith but he seems like he grunts and groans a lot for someone who is healthy. You are a good man Ron . Thank you for entertaining me. God bless
Ron, I agree with someone else's comment that watching your videos makes me a better person. From outside, the USA looks so messed up at the moment. Then I watch a real American like you, and my faith is restored. Thank you for your work, and your videos!
Nothing like waking up and watching your videos. Hope everyone at Midwest Truck is staying safe. That’s great you teaching her how to get out of there, everyone makes mistakes 👍👍.
Nice one Ron, but you're braver than I going under the trailer with the driver at the wheel. I would have walked around to spray the PS rail... I'm sure you had an ear (or 2) on the brakes the whole time you were back there. You do a great job and are a true gentleman to all. Thanks for the video and keep safe.
Where abouts Ollie? I'm in West Lothian near Edinburgh but i'm not a trucker just a person interested in the mechanics of all this and Ron tells you all he can about the situations he's involved with.
When my daughter was learning how to drive. She went to the McDonalds while trying to park she hit the curb and got a flat. She called me saying she had wracked the car. When I got there she swore she was not driving again! I ask did she hit anyone? She was crying no. I just told her then call AAA to fix the flat. The manager of the McGreasy started yelling she can’t park there that’s for customers only. I said to McNasty the tow truck is on their way. When the guy got there I ask him to take his time fixing it.
And that’s why people should know how to change a tire. I’m not saying it’s anyones fault but the ability to change a tire can help in problems like that
Funny, the first thing I look for in the video is the height of the headliner and reflection in the side mirrors to see if you're in the tator. Today is going to be a good day. Stay safe!
I can guess that by having you there Ron to help her, she calmed down a lot faster than if it was someone else. Your demeanor and all makes the world of difference. God Bless Ron
Nice work as always, Ron! Been there, done that! Up here in MA, it's GO, GO, GO! No time to take your time! I can't work like that, as I learned. I made MANY mistakes. Thankfully, nobody got hurt, but I took down a few wires, been stuck in snow 100 times, dropped some trailers, turned the front right corner of a brand new tractor's bumper into a V-shape, and destroyed the front of one trailer from a giant 3' diameter oak branch. That was just in a tractor trailer! When I went into the trash industry in a city contract, there was alot of bent sheet metal and broken glass. Three of those in a years time, and you're fired. I did that thankless job for almost 6 years before that happened. All set with driving in this part of the country! I'll never do it again ... unless they paid me 8 figures!😁 Glad to see you're still safe and healthy. May our Lord keep it that way for you and your family.
Back in mid 70s I was the service mgr at a known company, I got a call from the service , if I could call one of our drivers , he went to load up from one of those REALLY SLOPING DOCKS, there was water there when he pulled up , but the skies opened up, so much that the straight truck engine was NOW UNDER WATER , I did pick him up @a diner , soaking wet as he walked a 1/2 mile in the rain , This is the kind of place water can FREEZE in winter , having rear wheels in it before it froze , They do not seem to make loading docks that way anymore . Cheers From NJ USA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@Bjd79 I used to work at a place where they had a sloping dock (a loading pit as we called it). In winter, trucks would have a difficult time to get out of it, but a bucket full of sand and/or salt spread by hand worked wonders for friction.
@@Newberntrains I don't know about veterans, but there is a youbue channel that is a video feed of a bridge that regularly catches drivers not paying attention to the height markers and ripping their trailers and box trucks open. Found it. ruclips.net/video/yO___E_sEvM/видео.html
This is the second tow in the last few videos where you say "what was the driver thinking?" I do wonder if she had pulled out would she have left the damage behind or owned up to it? Thank you Mr Pratt I am always entertained.
@Ron Pratt, I am still impressed with your work, organization of your tools and organization of truck. I was super impressed with your knowledge of sliding trailer tandems! You're a blessing to us all 👍🇺🇸
Just a simple pullback and then helping her get out of a tight spot always being professional Ron a good job hope you your family and the Midwest crew have a good weekend and stay safe

So yeah, older video that I'm commenting on... but I like to see if I can find out locations on things like this. So I did. The white pick-up seems to be in the same spot, and you can see both the displaced rock on entry and the dirt tracks left from pulling the truck out of the landscaping when viewing the satellite view on google. Crazy timing on something like this. Love watching your videos, Ron! Knowing God has given folks like you the talent to do what you do makes me feel better when on the road.
Ron is one cool guy I love watching the videos and getting to learn and see some tricks of the trade. While watching the videos I like to make a decision on what I would do and see if that was the best choice (what Ron would do/did)
a nice simple job.. I hope the lady was ok and not too upset...that is one lovely looking tractor unit...nice and clean...never knew you could alter the tandems on a trailer like that....
Hay now. I used to drive for swift till my dad died. I even help get a driver unstuck when i drove by talking him through a self recovery. I had a chain in my trk but i was under my trl and locked in a dock at the time. Just needed his power divider locked and used high range and got him rocking. His drives got in a hole where curb island used to be from when there were cab overs with 45s instead of 53s with trks 10ft longer
first thought, looking at the video still was: "That's gonna be an interesting recovery. Let's see how Ron handles this one." after watching: Lass has skills backing up. Has honor at admitting her mistake and that she is open to taking advice from others who have skill in rig driving. All in all, a good rookie driver. She'll probably go far in the business. Good idea with the shortened trailer tandems and the WD-40 to give them better slide-ability.
It's friday again, love watching your videos I used to drive, my mind says yes but the body says no.😒 The officer said that she had been driving for only a yr. but in that time you think she could see where not to do a turn around.BUT...i'll bet she learned a valuable lesson. Wish i could drive again but watching the videos is almost the same thing. Good job helping her to get out & back on the road again. Sail on brother.😄☝🙏 That bomb squad car was probably the only available unit in the area.
Hey Ron not sure why you get dislikes on your channel. We are all humans and we all make mistakes. You just are doing your job and helping people. Always nice to the person no matter what situation they are in.
I like the way she was going to run over the motel's grass and curb and drive off and leave the damage for someone else to pay for. I hope she or her company wass billed.
I did something similar to this when I was starting out as an OTR truck driver. I was trying to find a place to turn around, and made the mistake of turning into an office complex. There were landscaped islands between all the parking and I ended up pulling my trailer over a huge boulder, which got hung up under my trailer and I drug it into the middle of the lot. Took two tow trucks to lift me off the boulder and move it out of the way. I was so embarrassed and humiliated, and I was sure I would be fired. Fortunately, my employer saw it like you do. Everyone makes mistakes. It's part of the learning process. Good thing there are folks like you to help us out when those thing happen.
I could never drive a big truck like that. I would be getting into all sorts of trouble for sure. Since she is really just beginning her trucking career, this is just one learning notch under her belt. She was lucky to have you to help her. I give her kudos for doing what she does.

Tell me when you start finding more places meant for trucks. I haul cars and have to go into lots that aren’t meant for trucks or park at hotels that don’t have truck parking. Truckers are not accommodated as you would believe. It’s a mistake and it happens but until you do this job be slow to judge
Also know how you're getting out before you go in.
Scan the area before you pull in. Don’t just look for a way in but make sure you have a way out.
As a British trucker it always amazes me how bad the turning circles of American trucks are. Well done Ron, thanks for saving another lost soul.
Time to fill the washer fluid Ron. That morning sun....
Good on ya for helping out a new driver.
Everyone makes mistakes nobody’s perfect that’s how we learn and I’m sure she learned and will never make that mistake again
Yes, but trying to make a u-turn on private property that one has no other business with, crashing into a parked pickup truck, and completely overrunning into the landscaping is enough "mistake" that she probably needs a different career path to ensure that she never makes that mistake again.
@@TWX1138 making a u-turn on a "private" parking lot happens way more often than you think, what does that matter? and i don't know many people who went their whole career without fucking up, even more, a lot of drivers i know have hit something at least twice. that doesn't mean they're bad drivers because they've been driving for 20 years
@@TWX1138 I would only understand this response if she was driving recklessly.
I learned pretty early on in my driving career that your stomach will get you in trouble. Don’t listen to it!
This is the truth
Amen
Good job Ron, I would call this a good learning for the driver, things happen to all of us I pray she had a better rest of the day.
Ron, you just amazing! Not only you pulled her back but became a traffic cop, helping her get out! You just taught me something on the tandem repositioning! I have never seen it before! Keep up your good work. Stay safe!
That was one expensive trip to White Castle.
White Castle? Worth it!!
Certainly memorable!🤣🤣
And she was playing bumper cars🤭
Sounds like it was a cut scene from Harold and Kumar go to White Castle haha just kidding. People do make mistakes and sometimes just wrong decisions, we are all human. Ron we need more people like you in this world. God bless
Ron YOU ROOOOCK!!!
Thanks for sharing your days and for being so patient, caring and understanding.
Hitting a rock, a truck and getting stuck, now that's a quality driver right there.
Her focus was on getting to the burger joint, not what she was driving. She even stated that the "car" wasn't on.
I never realized there were so many women truck drivers until I started watching your channel, I salute them 👍👍👍👍👍
Some judging like they are professionals and they don’t even know how to turn on a big rig. This is no easy task. She is already braver than most just due to the fact of getting on that driver seat.
Everyone makes mistakes, but the good thing about them is that they are good lessons. So stop judging and give some respect. She is out breaking her back while you’re at home scratching ass.
experience gives you the exam first and the lesson later. Life's a bitch
SOME JUDGING
I watch your videos all the time and love the way you not only do your job as a heavy tow operator, but you also take the time to help drivers or those in need. I've been driving trucks for over 20 years and recently obtained my instructors license to be a CDL Class A/B instructor. I wish there were a lot more nice considerate people like you. I'm the same way to go out of my way, sometimes my job duties to give that extra helping hand that makes a difference and can go along way. Kudos to you Mr. Pratt.
I kind of feel for that lady. We have all been new at something before. Hopefully this is a learning experience for her. Thanks Ron.
'think she's only been driving a year' ; she is way behind the learning curve for an over the road tractor trailer driver.
She will remember this.. Experience is the best teacher.
Kllm hire experience only I think it’s time for her to go to swifty
Ron is like a truckers guardian angel.
3:18 You can see the tire marks where he turned there.
7:00 That's a thing of beauty. :-)
That was a pretty easy job. Well done, Ron.
Stay safe, stay healthy and God bless. :-)
Ron Pratt does it again!
Love and respect to Ron and all the truckers out there
Thanks Ron. Great video my friend.
She handled getting out perfectly. I was sure she'd bump the curb. Nope. Well driven.
Stay safe everyone

As always, outstanding work from an outstanding man. That's you Ron and I hope you kindness towards these drivers will always be.
Most tow truck drivers I have dealt with are ass holes. Not all, but most. If you were ever in need and I could help I would for sure .
Blessings to you and your family always.

Your calm demeanor, tone of voice and level of experience are eviable!
You went above and beyond to help that driver. Well done!
You are a very patient and kind man. Without your coaching, she would still be there.
Ron, I just love how you go to what is needed and not stumpping around trying to find what you need. Great job. If I had the money, I would send for you around the world to pull me an inch.
FIRST! As a truck driver I will say we all make mistakes but this one was just a result of being absolutely careless and not thinking about what you're doing
the entrance is tighter than the exit. This is really silly.
I agree.
Sometimes the mistakes like these end up being the best lessons to learn. I always enjoy watching how you handle all of these situations, keep up the great work!
As always Ron, you again show others how to be courteous where others need guidance.
Ron your patience and kinds is so rare it’s awesome. As I said before my brother drove 18 wheeler his whole life thank God he never needed a tow truck just rode side for tires. I saw him put a truck where a mouse wouldn’t crawl.
These things happen, every day this lady will be getting better. Nice job Ron. Helpfull and kind as always.
I love this guy and his behavior is attitude and his faith but he seems like he grunts and groans a lot for someone who is healthy. You are a good man Ron . Thank you for entertaining me. God bless
There are professional truck drivers and there are steering wheel holders sure made a mess. Great job Ron
Been driving for over 40 years driving heavy dumps and Gradall excavator and not my first ticket. Have to use common sense to.
Ron, I agree with someone else's comment that watching your videos makes me a better person. From outside, the USA looks so messed up at the moment. Then I watch a real American like you, and my faith is restored. Thank you for your work, and your videos!
And people think its easy everythings easy until it aint, thank you for always helping stay safe.
Nothing like waking up and watching your videos. Hope everyone at Midwest Truck is staying safe. That’s great you teaching her how to get out of there, everyone makes mistakes 👍👍.
I am a new truck driver just over a year, my heart goes out to the driver.
I been driving for almost 4 years and I'm still learning
Nice one Ron, but you're braver than I going under the trailer with the driver at the wheel. I would have walked around to spray the PS rail... I'm sure you had an ear (or 2) on the brakes the whole time you were back there.
You do a great job and are a true gentleman to all.
Thanks for the video and keep safe.
Scott Marshall when she said the car wasn’t turned on I lost the remaining faith with that driver!
Absolutely love your videos Ron! I'm in the UK and looking to start my journey into Recovery! All thanks to you
Where abouts Ollie? I'm in West Lothian near Edinburgh but i'm not a trucker just a person interested in the mechanics of all this and Ron tells you all he can about the situations he's involved with.
It still blows me away and amazes me how much tow trucks have changed since I drove a tow truck in the 1970's. WOW
I’m not saying it’s anyones fault but the ability to change a tire can help in problems like that
You are a very patient and understanding individual. Mr. Pratt, I commend you.
Funny, the first thing I look for in the video is the height of the headliner and reflection in the side mirrors to see if you're in the tator. Today is going to be a good day. Stay safe!
Similar, but I look for the screen for the reversing camera
Ron White !!!. " Gunna be a good day Tator " LOL..
I just look for the top centre control panel touch screen
Snap, I thought it was just me lol.
I can guess that by having you there Ron to help her, she calmed down a lot faster than if it was someone else. Your demeanor and all makes the world of difference. God Bless Ron
Thank you for the video, I look forward to your post on Friday mornings.
I'll never do it again ... unless they paid me 8 figures!😁
Glad to see you're still safe and healthy.
Flyby Airplane ace hardware next to my work have a sloping dock. I have seen some of their trucks struggle getting out of those docks in winter.
@@Bjd79 I used to work at a place where they had a sloping dock (a loading pit as we called it). In winter, trucks would have a difficult time to get out of it, but a bucket full of sand and/or salt spread by hand worked wonders for friction.
Good job Ron. Your guidance was spot on. I thought she was going to get off the pavement a couple times, your directions kept her on hard pack.
"i dont care who you are thats funny right there" LOL you hear tow mater in the back ground @ 10:50
It feels great to help ! Good job Ron.
That was so cool to see the trailer wheels move. I didnt know tandems can move. Fantastic teaching Ron 👏👏👏👏
I wondered how the tandems were moved. Now I know.
ya gotta love "newbies" but she will learn. You done good Ron and so did she. Nice work
ive seen 20 year veterans make mistakes too nobody is immune
@@Newberntrains I don't know about veterans, but there is a youbue channel that is a video feed of a bridge that regularly catches drivers not paying attention to the height markers and ripping their trailers and box trucks open.

Driving for a year is quite some time behind a wheel, she should have better judgement.
I like your company’s three horn beep policy. I’ve started using it backing my buses.
Donnelle Bivens I stole it for my company truck. Definitely gets people’s attention
You're a blessing to us all 👍🇺🇸
Good job as always Ron and for having patience with rookie drivers
Just a simple pullback and then helping her get out of a tight spot always being professional Ron a good job hope you your family and the Midwest crew have a good weekend and stay safe
She loves danger. I mean, she wanted White Castle sliders while driving. They are called sliders for a reason lol
Yeah, and the bomb squad officer at the beginning would have needed his tactical gear
Ahhh white cattles 😂
One wrong bump and she will explode
Another good one, everyone walked and drove away safe. Yes lessons were there for the learning, and I am sure they are onboard for the future. It no one needed to point fingers, keep positive and move on safely.
3 toots to back up, and 1 when going forward: And no end to the idiots that will still WALK OR DRIVE behind you!
Until I started following Ron, I didn't know three toots meant backing up. I'm surprised there isn't a backup beeper on Ron's truck.
He has them, it’s still a good practice because some people are oblivious to the back up beepers because almost every type of work equipment now a days has a beeper so you become numb to the sound of it. I hope I explained well enough.
@@jimc9399 The practice is older when the generalization of beepers , That's what I think !
I did wonder if 2 toots means he is going to slide it sideways .... :)
@@jimc9399 I didn't know that about the "toots" for going backwards or forwards either.
Ron to the rescue again. Great knowledge and skills.
You are always so very polite Ron,a very nice style you have.
When I first saw the way she was parked I thought for sure that truck would say swift on top.
It's friday again, love watching your videos
I used to drive, my mind
says yes but the body says
no.😒 The officer said that
she had been driving for

Wish i could drive again but watching the videos
is almost the same thing.
Tough way to learn but these are the lessons that hopefully stick with a person.
Thank you for helping the lady in the truck I watch your videos all the time
I like the way she was going to run over the motel's grass and curb and drive off and leave the damage for someone else to pay for. I hope she or her company wass billed.
A lot of trucking companies will fire you for damaging anything.
Me too.

Well. Making mistakes is how you learn and gain experience. And sometimes you learn more than you expected. Lol
